Hey there! Ignore list has served it's original purpose for years, and it still does. If you wish to never see a person again, /ignore add them and you're done. But there's another use... Some playstyles in raids are particularly laggy or obstruct your vision too much (trapper, black hole, snake nest, etc.) so I ignore them! But then I forget to remove them... Here are some solutions to that issue, which could also expand the intended use of the ignore system nicely:
- /ignore list. Simply shows all players you have added to your ignore list. This is an extremely intuitive feature, I was very surprised to find out it doesn't exist. I don't even think I need to explain why this would be useful.
- /ignore removeall (or clear). Another very simple to code feature, just clears all data from your ignore list. Whether it be old enemies you no longer hold a grudge against or random players you ignored for reasons above, chances are you've long since forgotten why you have added most of the people you have. In this case, might as well give them all another chance with one command.
- /hidespells. This is a more direct approach to my issue with laggy players, hides another player's spells. This would take a bit more devtime but I imagine it shouldn't be that hard. Note that you cannot ignore add moderators (very specific, I know, but even that somehow happened to me...) so this command would patch that tiny inconvenience as well.
I feel bad for people who might one day find out to be randomly ignore added by me without knowing the reason, but there's nothing I can do about it. When I queue into a party that renders enemies invisible for me I have no choice but to take action now rather than wait for the holy AT team to descend upon the mortal realm with optimization changes.
