Hello!

I'm brilliantknight and today im gonna make my personal feedback about it.

Let's begin.

Lootruns. The Apotheosis of Endgame Content. Inflations. Dupe Incidents. Gigantic Networth.

What exactly is this?

A long time ago it was an unofficial activity that required to make a great route to loot all existing chests from T1 to T4 by typing the command in certain discord to claim to world. And by repeating it multiple times you may find a dark purple box - Mythic Item. They are building the whole economy and everything in money is based on them. They had the insane value due to their rarity, proportional to their amount that relies on fullness of the world if you won't get sniped by those who loot this world. As the activity depends on luck, there are those who has it inside of their ass, such as i. I'm known as the one who rolled a plenty of good mythics, especially the old top 1 in old era. You can check them on my channel by clicking on my discord profile.
But... the 2.0.3 came out and they made client-sided chests with certain sequence of cooldowns alongside with the Camps - new format of the activity that required you to complete the challenges by taking the beacons and opening the new chest for the way more rare thing than Mythic - Shiny ones. But there comes the problem: Old Lootruns has been exhausted due to the existence of new ones. Im surpised that no one talks about it... until this moment. And the camps had the opposite problem: **They are too broken at the beginning, their rates were too high and in mere days Mythics had lost their value. **
After that, Mythics has started to stabilize in price and... the 2.0.4 came out by hitting the Gold Spot with Missions Addition. But what's a problem without a problem! Even this had it's own issues such the overpowered mission - Equilibrium. By taking a curse, recieve one random boon which provided braindead Aqua-Purplestack to the end of challenges. This is how we can get a tons of pulls.

And... Insulators with Simulators. They are too imbalanced, nothing to say much. Remove it without any chance for them to return.
Then... the 2.1 came out with the deserved nerfs and buffs to the mission with the addition of a new ones. AND this is where the lootruns gone too far in terms of imbalance. And the name of its imbalance is Chronokinesis. Chests now give +1 Pull, all future Time received will be reduced by an ever-increasing -5s permanently. With the existence of chests cooldown due to their new client-sided mechanic people has started to abuse it and getting a 2k+ pulls average which made the Mythic rates broken once again. And now we're getting closer to these moments where something must be done. It's never too late.

And here comes the solution to both of mechanics:

Part 1:

1. Give Discoverer a Major ID where Loot Bonus can also apply to emeralds with the conversion to the Liquid ones. Remove XP Bonus by replacing it with +15% of Loot Quality.
It will nullify the amount of Perfect Discoverers with giving it a new life.
** 2. Allow for all of chests have a 3h cooldown with 100% of their loot quality when the cooldown ends.**
This will finally make a lootrun set useful again. Seriously, i forgot when i used it.

Part 2:

1. Buff these Missions:

  • Jester's Trick: After being offered 20 items from Flying Chests, randomly get +6 Pulls, +2 Boon, +3 Curse, or +1m.
  • Treasure Hunting: Red Beacons will reward 1 Boon out of 2. Completing it with Aquaboosted challenge will grant you half of random boons from amount of challenges that it can give.
  • Orphion's Grace: Boons are now 75% more effective.
  • Gourmand: When you get 1 Boon, get +2 Beacon Reroll.
  • Porphyrophobia: Blue Beacon will give you +1 Pull relying on amount of offered Boons from it. Getting offered a Purple Beacon gives you +3 Permanent Curses.
  • Equilibrium: For every 2 Curses, grant a random boon.
  • Backup Beat: Every time you add +180s to your timer, gain +1 Beacon Reroll.
  • Stasis: While picking a Beacon, your timer does not decrease. (Max 10m)
  • Redemption: Getting offered a Blue Beacon gives you a random boon but not relying on the Aquaboost. Gain +1 End Reward Sacrifice.

2. Buff these Beacons:

  • Purple: +2 Curses, +2 End Reward Pulls.
  • Yellow Beacon: Spawn 2 Flying Chests.

3. Rework the Chronokinesis Mission:

  • 4 Casual and Flying Chests are now give +1 Pull. Reduce their cooldown to 30m and remove their Cave & Loot Quality. Green Beacon cannot appear anymore. Wasting of time between challenges grant double amount of it upon the completion of them.
    When i first heard its name i thought about time control. This will match its name.

Part 3:

LOOTRUN BOSSES.

When you're starting a lootrun it shows you the amount of maximum challenges: 100. There is no point of doing it right now. And it can be changed by implementation of such mechanic.
On 25, 50, 75 and 100th Challenge face the powerful enemies on your way to empower yourself.
Each of the Camp has its own boss based on the location design. I will leave this to CT.
But how to do them if you have only 12 challenges at the beginning?
Pretty much simple:

  • Removal of the White Beacon but you will get 50 Challenges at the beginning. However, the Red Beacon will remain.
    Upon the victory, you will be offered a 5 missions to choose and gain +15 Pulls and +1 End Reward Reroll.
    By completion of the last Boss triple the amount of pulls and gain +1 End Reward Reroll too.
    Upon the failure, no rerolls will be recieved and you will get only 4 missions to choose.
    That means removal of the Grey Beacon and its first appearance at the 4th challenge. Removal of Complete Chaos is needed too, useless mission. Nothing to say much.

These changes can finally make both of the activities good and well developed.

equilibrium aqua purple stack was like fine cause on max you would get like 350 pulls per run which would still add up from from sacs easily but at least it wasn't printing shinies like chrono is lol

i disagree about insulators and simulators being removed tho. I've always hated that getting good item rolls is basically luck/gambling. sure it help the tm, but id rather have it so that the items i get is based on effort and not gambling

this would 100% create an imbalance in the other direction, where long runs would be more incentivized than shortruns. you ideally want short runs and long runs to be equally as effective. i'm not entirely sure why you wouldn't do all 100 challenges to straight up double the amount of pulls AND get 3 sacs for free AND whatever your missions gave you. the strategy would just be kinda for naught since you would just run blue beacons whenever you get them

i think a misconception is that longruns are inherently more difficult than shortruns -- both can be as easy or as hard as you want to make them (whether that be through blue beacons or luck)

i don't disagree with the exigence of your argument, that longruns are ineffective, but that's mostly a symptom of chronokinesis being overtuned / equi being undertuned and not a structural issue with the gamemode imo

right, i just think that long runs should probably compete with sstacking, technically it would be possible for it to compete probably considering you can spam aqua rainbow purples at the end to get 4 pulls per challenge but you sacrifice at least 1 mission slot on a survivability mission and a couple challenges on blues compared to a shortrun so it's probably all a wash at the end of the day

honestly yeah I don't like the state lootruns are in rn. I really hate how depended they are on getting the right missions since half of them are stupid additionally I think lootrun bosses are a really good idea adding more variety (which missions tried but my issue with them is there are far better ones then others so in that sense that variety is lost since you just end up wanting to use the same things again) that can't really harm the rates of your run is a good thing I think I do agree with void making 100 challange lootruns the baseline might not be the play but who knows. Mission buffs good a lot of them are just shit and pointless and please kill chrono. I'm like fine with simus and insus exsisting since I really find it stupid that some items just have ids that have absolutely 0 reason to exsist stuff like warp having reflection and I like to think simus and insus counterbalance that.

theres some nice ideas in here, especially the bosses are cool, but there needs to be done more to make 100 ch runs better again. It cant be that the most time efficient way to lr is doing 5 mins of chests and then waiting 30 minutes

tbh b4 we change something about the missions id like a fail safe for the chest in case you crash. its the single reason i don't lootrun alot anymore. ive crashed multiple times on the chest even on 100 challenge runs due to my net being unstable

I havent lootrun in 2-3 months so if something i say is fixed now let me know 🙂

  1. rainbow beacons appearing when you need an orange or blue instead. Add rainbow chance / x rainbow left in pool to fix this issue 🙂
  2. blue beacons not appearing for 20-30 beacons in the middle of your run due to bad rng or you taking safety seeker and getting screwed over.
  3. flying chest mission + chrono + boon chests mission + any other solid mission being just as OP as the pre nerf equalibrium run that everybody had so much hate for yet this one is ok???
  4. lootruns being overly rng dependent. (stack correctly w/ correct missions) or you dont get a braindead run.

i like some of these ideas but others not so much. @ionic frigate some of your ideas are pretty extreme and dont seem to have much reason for them. do you think you could expand on the reasoning behind all your suggestions

Here comes the expalantion:

- Deletion of Insus and Simus:
Too easy to roll a Mythic, especially a Godly one. No, seriously, i have rolled a Perfect Discoverer with that and 2 Godly Catas. Just WTF.
Anyone can do it with ease now. Mythic can bear that title no longer because of this.

- Granting a Major ID for Discoverer:
Lootrun Mythic with 200LB at maximum and its not even useful right now? Not even with Materialism and High LQ????
That is unfair. We need more LE Gain to the Economy to prevent it from Dupe Incidents. But idk will they really happen but still.

Explaining the point of annuling multiple Perfect Discoverers:
Yeah, its easy to roll. But it's not normal when there will be about ~10 of them. It's title of "Perfect Mythic" and value fading as time passes.

- Empowering the certain missions:
I can't understand why some cards must be filler or overpowered. I truly want the missions work every dime worth. Even the Beacon Reroll ones.

- The Purple & Yellow Beacon's Buff:
I didn't included the possibility of Equilibrium's Buff so i'll cancel this out. While the Yellow one will make "my Chronokinesis, Hoarder, Cleansing Greed, Jester's Trick and other Flying Chests related missions" good in pull-gaining terms.

- Chronokinesis Rework:
I've explained it at the 1st Paragraph of my Feedback. NO 3k+ PULLS ALLOWED. This is far worse than Old Equilibrium.

- LOOTRUN BOSSES:
I agree that this mechanic ties the journey to Longrun Meta. And i've noticed how many of you complained about this.

And i figured out the solution for it:

Your Lootrun starts at 30 Challenges with only 1 boss at the 25th one.
However, by beating him you multiply your pulls by 1.5x for the rest of lootrun and launch the 2nd Phase where you can fight 3 other bosses as you progress.
White Beacon will lead to boss only instead of giving challanges now but the Red one remains.
By adding more challenges prolong your lootrun proportionaly for the 3 bosses remained.
Upon the victory, you will be offered a 5 missions to choose and gain only 1 End Reward Reroll but no Pulls.
Upon the failure, no rerolls will be recieved. Lootrun will be continued but only 4 missions will be offered to choose.

Short runs have no need to take “sustain” missions anyway. They serve different purposes. Long runs aren’t inherently more interesting than short runs because the core gameplay loop remains the same and old equilibrium exacerbated the problem by letting you take purple beacons with absolutely no downside

I think the main problem is just that loot running isn’t fast paced enough for long runs to be the intended form of play in my opinion. It’s pretty slow and repetitive with the challenge types and Wynn’s limited spell system holds it back from being super engaging. I think loot run bosses would be interesting but you’d need to make them spawn faster for them to be of any use for the short runs. If each one grants a reroll, you could have a max of 3 bosses that appear maybe every 15 missions? But 3 extra rerolls is worth more than the missing mission which I don’t really want since the baseline for normal, non chronokinesis runs is fine imo

I also stand for normal discoverer to be completely removed from the reward pool as it was designed to only be found from tier 3 and tier 4 chests in exclusive areas and now that its been available in rewards chest it has the scarcity complex completely made redundant which has caused significant devaluation of this 2 stat item.

And with simu and insu its already progressed too far and I think the game should try to implement simus and insus as the central pivot of the economy, adding in simus and insus for respective tiers; unique, rare, set, legendary and fabled.

This implementation could be coupled with the release of new types of augments, one that I have previously written about as an example I named Corkian Isolator in my thread. With the convergence of the quality of mythics to an overall high and the valuation of average mythic at an all time low I do not think a transition like this is unreasonable.

The economy by itself is dry as hell and over-competetive nature when it comes to selling average quality mythics makes the sellers market stale which freezes the liquid wealth.

this causes the majority of the rich players of wynncraft like myself to wait for someone to slave away to produce something of high quality in the oversaturated markets.

Why do majority of mythics sell in unidentified form as opposed to rolled?

Will shifting the economy from item focus to augment focus cause more movements of cash?

In the event of a major dupe will an augment market or an item market recover faster?

I know that this is a thread for lootrunning but with the current state lootruns are in and the fact that it goes hand in hand with economy, I think the point above should be relevant

Wynn could benefit from an economy team which functions in relation to economy and lootruns, coupled with a PR team whos goal is to engage in the community to collect ideas for the varying roles in the content team.

Wynncraft need to find a way to both reduce the number of mythics in circulation, and also reduce the number of raw le in circulation. But this is not gonna happens because, but i think the wynncraft team wants mythics to be common, idea that honestly i'm against. I have some ideas to, at least rebalance the economy, but i find useless and a waste of time explaining it when the wynncraft team is going to the opposite direction

mythics have changed and the baseline for builds is usually centered around them. legendary or fabled builds exist but wynn has been quick to nerf them when they're at mythic levels of damage (see panic zealot and a16's nerf). i think it's fine to have mythics be common but i do think the design of multiple mythics should be tweaked to make the m more distinct than just "legendary but with mythic stats" like thrundacrack or fatal
