the quality of these clips might be a bit low but I need to so to upload here without nitro
The basic behaviour of vanish
Since I have the shadestepper aspect's vanish aspect cooldown, I will have ~3s of vanish cd whenever I exit it without any reductions, as shown below
I am aware the wynntils tracker should not be trusted, but it is very noticeable even then.
The intended behaviour of shadow siphon
When I properly backstab an enemy with shadow siphon, vanish cooldown will be greatly reduced as shown below, a noticeable amount of "blood" particles can also be seen here
as seen above, my vanish cooldown is very different than in the first clip, and I can enter vanish properly right after
The problem
Some mobs simply cannot proc shadow siphon, and the damage value is also significantly lower. I am unsure if these mobs in particular shares any specific attributes which could lead to this, but these clips should do the explaining.

Curiously enough, passive mobs do not seem to be the cause, as seen in the first clip against lutho citizens. Support AI which could be one due to the 1st EO miniboss was also not the case, as shown in the clip against Qira's first phase below.

TCC Third Room Primeval Machine
- Landed 2 backstabs and as you can see vanish cd didn't change
- In the clip you can also see the backstab isn't backstab boosted since my build should be averaging ~130k with the boosts i had not even accounting raid buffs (wynnbuilder only goes up to 6 marks but I have 8)
TCC Third Room Axon
- Clip only shows last Axon but none of the Axons have a back

- Orange Wybel does not have a back (even though orange cybel does)

Huh.. this is some bizarre behaviour, I can't look into it much very well at work, but having clips and specific examples of the ability not working should help me figure out what's wrong
idk if its important to mention but im also using the t2 backstab angle aspect
Backstab is supposed to be based on a comparison between the direction the player is facing and the direction the target is facing on the tick damage is dealt, and if they are within a certain range of each other, backstab triggers (there is no positional detection, since if you are facing the same direction as the target it is assumed you're hitting from behind. This is why backstab can trigger if you are standing in front of or inside an enemy you can still backstab them with the small reverse part of the hitbox if you face away from their front)
So the fact that there seem to be exceptions is really strange

I'm also using exactly t2 too, I'll try without it later and see if that's the problem
Use f3 +b to see where its back is
I believe that south line is the health bar entities' facing direction which seems to show on everything
(so it should be irrelevant here)
