#If a World Reset happens during a raid, put the party back in the room they were doing.

Yes, if they were in the boss when the world reset, give them a free retry of the boss. I've lost the raid at the boss 3 times because the world decided to reset in 10 minutes right at the start of a raid. It's just so infuriating to know that you're just gonna lose. Either this or just do a check if a world is resetting in less than 20 minutes and DON'T PUT RAID PARTIES IN IT!!!!

no one cares about your time bro, they think they do but no one really cares, they did so many amazing things for this update except for listening to the actual players and what they really want. The whole update seems like a huge waste of playtime in many aspects of it, you can name it world resets, 2 years of aspect grinding with useless parties or even gear grinding since you need to change your build every fking day to fit the gambits. Also dont try putting caps on your complaints because that makes then instantly ignore it, another point to them not caring about your time, they expect people who waste 3-4 hours of their day due to the current game mistakes to be typing in lowercase lol

When Fruma update comes: These STUPID devs added a higher level cap? now I have to GRIND for new higher level gear? Do they think I am a pig? WHAT I HAVE TO DO MORE QUESTS just to level up? grind fest smh

# pliant vortex oooh watch your language!

Do you expect people not to be mad at the content team when an update break so many things they worked on (for reasons only half of the community will enjoy, if even half), make the game slower, longer, more annoying, While making it even more grindy ..? This update added so many bad things both small and big, for a tiny handful of good ones, and smell so "reused", because yeah there is no way you'd make an update this ""huge"" without reusing the same things over and over with reskin, which makes sense as most game do that, but yeah, this is what this update is. It Tries to look cool, but it isn't when looking at it in detail.
And for all the people being all so happy about the removal of sp or the cool visuals, this could have been added without all the bad ideas along.
And nerfing isn't much of a problem, in the 8 years I've been playing wynncraft, as annoying as it can be, I had to change builds and redo things many times, but it's understandable. Yet here precisely, the nerf is so huge, general, and in some cases really unfair, how do you expect people to react ? And even more while making the game even more grindy, come and farm little player, the stats won't go higher by themselves o/
And then the team has the nerve to feel insulted when people yell their anger in their face ? The only place they can do it while feeling (hopping) someone can at least listen to them ?
You don't have the right to feel annoyed, when you take a route that'll evidently piss off many people for obvious and good reasons, you take the reproach in your face and you swallow.

its a fucking video game

you getting so mad over this is nuts to me

I never get this mad at any game I play

I am not a mod lol

#

I find it pathetic how you get so mad at changes to a videogame

and how we as CT spend so much time taking in feedback and making changes

I spent the whole july taking in feedback from beta

like 8 hours a day

just for people like YOU to say we never listen to players

Yup I'll agree it made no sense because I rushed it to end it quickly. I guess my bad, but given your reply you won't understand anyway so this put an end to it.
to not polute the comment section I'll erase the other msg.
(Btw as an addition since you mentioned it, I for the most part was talking about raid. So I guess thank you for proving my point.)

pliant vortex
#

Im not even sure what your problem with raids is

#

you never stated it

arctic ingot
#

Slow, annoying, often unfair. I won't state every detail of everything I and all the players I talked with about it encountered because it'd take hours (and yes, weird, I'm not the only one ? wow how impossible, a huge amount of people being annoyed but not talking making* you think things are good ? ever thought about that ? for every raid I played, I didn't hear a single person telling me this is so fun I love it. how weird. Meanwhile complaints ha ha ha). But I can summarize by saying I played wynncraft and never enjoyed the farm out of it, but still was fun enough to still go through it. And still love the rest. But here it has been exponentially worsened, who thinking making something more grindy and requiring you to farm even more while being even slower is a good idea ..? It's the opposite of fun, it's a job.
Spam clicking something for hours both isn't fun, and it hurts. Redoing the same slow, annoying thing, to finally, hopefully, maybe, get something that you will most likely never loot and be taunted by the other rare thing you never cared about, isn't fun. All the lil new interaction making things Even slower, when you are already pissed off by the rest, isn't fun. It's a mix of so many things to end up with something both not fun, not exciting even though it tries so hard to be, so repetitive and yet again not fun. Doing the same thing over and over if it's quick and kinda fun ok. Doing that same thing now 50 times slower, more annoying, having to do it even more, and so many other things, isn't.

pliant vortex
#

and as for rewards idk, I didnt work on the new rewards system but I can see how it is different than before and how some people may not like it

arctic ingot
#

for the grind part I meant the rewards I guess, you have to grind more than before for it, yet it's so much slower (and not in a cozy way) and so much more annoying.

pliant vortex
#

I guess really your problem is with the reward system

#

which like I cant really help ya there I have no control over it

#

I worked on the raid bosses and room concepts/ enemies

#

and for the rooms and bosses I will defend that I believe they are so much better than before for many reasons and I have spent a lot of time collecting feedback on them during the beta, and changing them based on that feedback, so I am not super open to just changing them on a whim because a couple new people give feedback that i disagree with for many reasons that I have stated in past threads

arctic ingot
#

it's the mix of a gameplay that "require you" to do the same thing over and over, so many times. While, making it even slower and more annoying, it simply doesn't make you want to play it and just to give up all together on that part.
The gameplay if I can give more precise critics from my personal point of view but it's only that, and I guess the same of those who complained on the same thing.
Most boss feel chaotic, at least less random so it's a good thing, but more chaotic unless you have a team to wipe it in 3 minutes but then where is the nerf update lol.
In general, it's the same old problem, making a boss having billions of hp, nerf the player dmg, and expect it to be challenging* and fun, isn't right. I'll just make it so much more boring, And, annoying. a bossfight just hurt, it feel like soloing them, but in team lol.
As a random example, I just come out of the eow, I mean the wyrm, and it's simply so slow, every room are mostly the same, just slower, the boss itself has only one phase instead of like 5, but somehow it's sooooooo much slower, and again not in an exciting way, in a spam click, sleep on your keyboard, wish it was done, way. And have a tendonitis by the end of it.
Oh yes btw I thought about it so I might as well say it since I have someone of the content team, making the boss so much more tanky (yet deal less damage to you as well from what I've seen somehow ?) makes it a cookie clicker game, it, literally, hurt. spam click then pause is one thing, spam click nonstop for 15-20 minutes isn't at all good for you health.
again I don't spit on everything, there are lots of positive addition, but also lots that aren't. It's the general feeling out of it that at least for me, and again I never felt much annoyed by the previous changes and nerf, rather liked the addition more than I disliked the changes, here simply make me want to quit each time I start to find a bit of fun in it, if to summarize it.

pliant vortex
# arctic ingot it's the mix of a gameplay that "require you" to do the same thing over and over...

"but then where is the nerf update lol." well the nerf was that people with a full good team where killing bosses in seconds and I just think objectivly TCC and TNA the boss I worked on are better than before. and I made old TNA and designed and worked on old TCC

I also dont think bosses really have TOO much HP, players in 2.0 got heavy buffs and yea I think some item nerfs went too far but still players power scaling now is still much higher than pre 2.0

I also dont think NOTGL is any slower than before, it had stages before but not much really changed between them other than the arena shrinking Bosses do NOT do less damage than before idk where you got that information, most bosses got buffs to most stats.

I do not think making bosses more tanky is making them cookie clicker when BEFORE most bosses died stupid fast because the player power creap was crazy.

#

I will say I did really dislike that we buffed mobs and nerfed items at the same time

#

I really thought we should have buffed the mobs first

#

and then seen how much items needed to be nerfed

#

some of the things you say really have me thinking are you just upset at raid rooms or raid rooms in 2.1? because some of the complaints really dont seem any different than stuff that was before 2.1

#

I mean other than the reward system

arctic ingot
pliant vortex
#

I mean yea but it will not be as easily doable

#

and even still the HP buff for most mobs I dont think was that high

#

I mean tcc got a huge buff but its also a stationary mob

#

without different sections to kill

#

TNA got a buff but its not like its HP got doubled

#

also I just think bosses now are better

#

not just visual shit

#

but telegraphs are better

#

which is important for gameplay

#

spells are easier to actually learn and work around

arctic ingot
#

Also interesting I swear I was getting destroyed when not paying attention in tna, and with the same (nerfed) build I now swim in its attack ?

and you're missing something here.
They are far harder to hit.
It by definition make them more tanky, because you will hit them less. In the grootsland, half of the time it's away, and seriously I don't know how the hit system works for it but if I got it right it's something like terraria ? as every part can be hit, and the head for more dmg, but then the general dmg is lowered so you can't just melt it by hitting all the parts at once ? well I don't think it's working fully well because, it does, feel, extremely slower. At this point I just let myself be kill if I'm solo cause it's not worth the pain in my hand by the end of it =v=
And again, no challenge, it's extremely easy, but long and boring, and after a time, annoying.
For the colossus you have to move away to avoid so many things that you simply can't focus on the boss and so it takes ages (if you didn't melt it before with that one good time as I said you'll always have in the way anyway.) at this point make a dps cap/scale or something to affect only them xD
And for tna it's mostly similar, but weither by the boss def/hp or by the nerf, it feels infinitely more slow. And again for a gameplay that require you to farm the same thing over and over. I don't mind fighting one boss for so long in dark soul or something, I have to do it Once. Here it's let's waste hours of our life for a crappy reward anyway 70% of the time.
Also as details, the fact you have to cliiiiicckkk on the boons in the raid to get them, add to that slow feeling, and annoyance when you just want to end it already, but it's a detail.
Personally I think orphion got the best out of it, the raid is doable now (actually feel too easy in comparison haha, well most of the time, some challenge are worth but overall the feeling is excellent I find, it has that epic feeling and it works.)

pliant vortex
#

tna did get some damage nerfs cuz for the most part I removed all true damages

#

tna used to have many attacks that did true damage which got removed based on player feedback

#

and again as for the rewards and reward system I cant do anything about that

#

I feel all raid bosses are way more fair than before

#

some might find that easy

#

but most raid bosses before imo had so many attacks that were just undodgable or felt random

#

tcc especially

#

which means if u do know how to avoid them it will be easier when before they were for the most part unavoidable

arctic ingot
#

Also as an additional thing, don't expect players (like me for example) to know how the content team works, we have no idea who works on what when and why. So earlier what annoyed me was the offended reply of a 'mod' to a player who was basically being just as upset as me for his own reasons, which I think are quite fair, and while I usually just shut up and endure, here it just made me want to remind that if people are annoyed it's not just because they're mad without reason, but because they go through lots to annoy them and at some point it explode. also for earlier, if people get annoyed over a video game as you said, it's usually for good reasons, mainly because they care, being someone literally working on it honestly you should understand.

#

On what you said. Yes, absolutely.

pliant vortex
#

I personally see yelling at CT as the same as a Karen yelling at a fast food employee for getting an order wrong, I think its simply pathetic to get that annoyeed at a videogame to the point that you feel you have to yell it at staff or take it out on them or that you have a right to be mad at the people who made a game. I dont think a some lady has a right to yell at McDonalds employees for getting a burger order wrong, and I Don't think anyone has a right to get mad at CT for changes to the game. you can be mad that the changes happened but taking that out on CT is unrespectable and pathetic behavior

arctic ingot
# arctic ingot On what you said. Yes, absolutely.

But there is something in it, easier doesn't mean more fun. And quite literally goes in the opposite direction of that so called nerf update haha.
But that is absolutely true that the boss, most of the time, do feel more fair, as I said they don't have that random feeling or that sudden "lol os you ded", which is a good thing, absolutely. And ah I knew there was something with tna' dmg, the true damage removal was a good call in that case, if it was that, I think.
But over all, and again don't take it on your personal field of work I'm talking about everything together, it does feel so much slower for a gameplay that ask you to farm even more. That's basically what every game does nowaday, and it saddened me to see wynncraft slowly going in that direction. As well as on other things and practice but that's not the point here.

pliant vortex
#

I really dont personally like the new reward system that much

#

I actually had no idea it was even gunna happen until like a month before release and was not very happy with it

arctic ingot
pliant vortex
#

but being CT doesnt mean I can just change that

pliant vortex
#

we are trying to make the game best for everyone

#

I do take in feedback but I cant listen to everyone

#

and I wont do something that I dont think is right

arctic ingot
#

Yes my apologies for not phrasing it better, I meant it as what you do have consequences for those who play and dedicate sometimes a huge time of their live on a game they care about. It can improve it, but bad decision can worsen it heavily.

pliant vortex
#

when I am making a change to a boss I am not making a choice that oh I want to piss this person off i will do it

#

I can understand getting mad at a mechanic or change

#

I play a lot of games

#

I play a lot of tf2 recently lol I can get mad at the state of a game

arctic ingot
#

I do understand that haha

pliant vortex
#

but I think taking out that angry at a dev or typing up massive rants out of nowhere is not something I will respect and I will not treat seriously

arctic ingot
#

Can you understand the reason they feel that way at least ?
As I said, it's only because I don't find an use for it I didn't do that myself, because when you just come out of something feeling extremely unfair after you endured hours of something annoying for in the end no reason and you feel it's caused by a cast of people. Well I mean read a bit of the french revolution and you'll see xD

pliant vortex
#

Ct are not a cast of people

#

a game dev is not a ruling class

#

I can understand being upset at a game

#

or a mechanic

#

but in the end when I play games its a game

#

if I dont like it i stop playing or move on, or make a post about why I dont like it

#

which OP of this thread did do, he just stated he didnt like world resets and I agree with that

arctic ingot
#

It's still one that is more in charge than those who simply play it.
I mean, by what you say who is then ? mods ? From my understanding outside of banning people and enforcing rules they have less ''''power'''' over the game than someone from the content team who will actively change the game.
And being upset at a mechanic, at least from my point of view but I'm open to listen to why I'm wrong, is being upset at those who made it. Cause it didn't simply happen out of nowhere.

pliant vortex
#

I mean in the end salted and the dev team decide core big picture things

#

and varius people work on various parts of the game

#

I work on boss and mob design mostly

#

level design of like some eco caves and raid rooms

#

random projects here and there

#

other people do quests

#

or discoveries

#

or mob stuff too

#

or other people just do builds

#

or music

arctic ingot
#

And saying it's just a game, well what if you used transport for a city to go to your job, and then it was heavily worsened, like removing the seat or anything really annoying, what would you say, "it's just a transport, just walk or take a bike if you don't like it" after all you won't die because of that, but it still impact negatively your day on something you either liked (game) or went through (transport in that case)

pliant vortex
#

but like yea I can suggest to salted or the team oh yea I think maybe raid rewards arnt the best

#

but that doesnt mean I can make the change happen

pliant vortex
#

and even still a bus driver has no say as to if the city transit schedule got cut up so I dont just yell it out at him

#

and I have worked other jobs and people DO yell at me in those other jobs over shit I have no control over

#

and again I think the same thing, its a dumb attitude

arctic ingot
#

That's an usual concept (obviously not a good one though) you can't yell at the boss so you yell at the underlings, sometimes like your example of mcdonald, with someone who has no power or consequences over it, which indeed is unfair. But other time when talking to someone who did have a consequences, it still has a bit of reason behind. But as you said, it's one part of a bigger problem, for those who consider it a problem I guess, meanwhile others are gawking at the removal of soul points.
But well to not extend it more than it has, I think that you are right obviously to not want to be yelled at and be insulted, but at the same time don't forget that if in your point of view it's just a game whatever, it's not the same for someone who spent hours of their life on it. To give an other example than the bus then, imagine you spent so long to make a collection, spending your time and resources sometimes, and then some new regulation or whatever make you either loose half of it or anything negative. You won't just think, ah it's just a hobby anyway.
If those who complain didn't care, they would just go play world of warcraft or any other mmo then, but as for how they complain, let's say it depends if it's in the heat of the moment.
