What if abilities were reworked so that there are no (or low) requirements? Currently, maxing out a class (for beginners) is quite repetitive. However, one has many class slots one can max out, and one may max out for different builds, such as lootrunning or for guild warring. It gets very boring very fast, so maybe the ability tree could be reworked where it offered more variety for the player to pick from. This could help with introducing more variety and build experimenting to the game, as most builds are very similar and don't change much. Of course, there will need to be heavy balancing on which ability goes where, but I think It could be an interesting idea worth trying out. Maybe a whole bunch of new abilities could be added for each class, ie (for mage) Shortcut - Holding shift while casting teleport will teleport you randomly 5 times (within a 15x15 radius). Meteors will crash down wherever you teleported to. However, it takes 30 mana (flat, does not change even with repeated casting) to cast it. Adding more variety to the ability tree could promote more interesting gameplay and fun builds to try out and use.

remove leap bolt requirement
remove leap 👍
Certain classes need their ability trees reworked for sure, but not like that lmao
The reason builds are so similar rn is because devs are making everything rainbow 💀
Fair point. This may not be needed if the aspects they are adding changes the build a lot
They change builds a little
But honestly most builds aren't affected all that much, only a few are
You basically just want a better ability tree?
Yea tbh saying "adding more content will mean there will be more content to play with" is kinda goofy
Bruh he wrote a whole paragraph which in the end leads to "make the ability tree better"
Just do it in 1 sentence next time. I read the whole thing waiting for some concrete examples on how it could get reworked, but alas
I see, will do next time. In summary, yes, a better ability tree where you have a better manipulation over the abilities that you have per class to make the game less repetitive, and also introducing more ability experimenting rather than mostly gear experimenting
Major ids and aspects already do that
Major ID is slow to acquire and fixed with an armor piece. Do far, aspects seem only to buff the spell, not significantly change it functionality wise
But we’ll see
Basically impossible to balance. We would have to completely redo the vast majority of all the trees
how much more variety than a whole different class on a second level up session could you possibly need
good point. However, it's still the same content, which can be quite boring to redo.
NO DOPAMINEE!!!
dont play it if u dont want to
also your idea wouldnt rlly fix the problem for you either, it would at most prolong the time it takes for you to get bored by a very small amount
