#Radiance Effect

that's a retextured item, not an actual effect
Oh...
it was made for cave end chest loot, if you run one of the few caves that gives you something other than just xp you'll see it
Yet it still can be applied to the player like Mantle?
it could but it cant be scaled up and it would desync from the player's movement
that issue doesnt exist for disguises tho?
err actually i dont know if it does, but i would think the same technology could be used for this purpose
Disguises?
The player doesn’t even see them from their own perspective
yeah
isnt this post asking about showing the radiance buff applied to allies?
What does the buff have anything to do with desync
because disguises aren't desynched, right?
We dunno that
We can’t see our own disguises
I think we're interpreting this post in different ways. @uneven rover are you talking about a visual indicator for the warrior player to see if they have the radiance buff, or are you talking about a visual indicator for the warrior's teammates to see if the teammates have the radiance buff
Yeah, for warrior's teammates.
@buoyant dawn so then why wouldnt the mechanism that works for diguises work?
As in, the light rays visual is only visible for other players?
yes
That could work, I’m not sure if other players and their effects have the same desync though
@mental cove How about this
Get another player to cast something that spawns entities, like Warrior’s cobalt shields
If the shields follow the player model at a delay from your screen then they have different desyncing
yea
just spawn little particles at least
not that hard to do that
It would desync
This also is not constructive feedback
The reason im posting suggestions here is that Forums does not have a larger audience compared with Discord.
IMO we should migrate from the Forums straight to the Discord.
But thats only my opinion.
Well, don't misuse the channel
Sure, i just need to post my last suggestion later...
Use the forums. We made this channel for constructive feedback, because we are looking for constructive feedback. If the suggestion is a hypothetical solution to an issue that is part of the constructive feedback, go ahead
Otherwise I ask that you not intentionally ignore the purpose of this channel because you'd rather get more eyes on your post.
The post didvaguely imply a valid reason as to why this suggestion should exist, that being so that teammates have a better way of playing around Radiance in the first place.
As much as the post mostly didn't have anything going on (sorry op) I do think this would be a valuable change, as you can't even be sure if someone has the Radiance buff unless they directly say or you go online to check their tree. And even when you know they do, you can't easily count on when it might be on cooldown or not since you have no way of knowing just from looking.
That being said- adding some form of visual indicator for other teammates for when someone's Radiance is available would make it much more valuable and effective as a team support option, beyond just standing next to them an entire fight and hoping for the best.
ChatGPT?
nvm not ai

is it so hard for someone to type a long tangent without it being called AI in this world
most people are too lazy to type out a paragraph now so when they see someone else do it they just assume its chatgpt generated
"go online to check their tree" you can do that?
otherwise it honestly sounds like human speech
hey, i assumed ai because i dunno if you can check ppl's atree online
you can look at peoples atree on their stats page unless they manually toggled it off
huh
well thats cool
how'd i never know this
the great war build debate...
we live in a world where people would rather call someone out for ai generated text than go online and verify if you can see other people's ability trees on the stats page
I was just mocking how someone went out there way to type a whole paragraph full of stuff that has already been said
You appear to do a very poor job of it
Wdym poor job i literally sparked a discussion about it and I have a slight suspicioun both you and the behem guy got offended
hey. nimrod. are you here to talk about Radiance or are you here to look like a monkey typewriter.
