#The "Total Level" stat is inconsistently represented

Apparently there are three different versions of the "Total Level" stat that appear in Wynncraft and its official website:

  1. The stat as it appears in the Character Info screen and when hovering over someone's combat level/guild in the in-game chat. This is [combat level] + [all 12 profession levels] + [your lootrun rank, represented as a number] presumably (I am at Lootrun Master, the 15th rank, and this adds up to 31 on my somewhat new Assassin, who is combat level 4 and has not touched any profession yet--4 + 12 + 15 = 31). Lootrun rank is never represented elsewhere by a number in an official capacity, so this is just a confusing number overall.

  2. The stat as it appears in the middle-left Weapon Mastery Tome slot's requirement. This is [combat level] + [all 12 profession levels], which makes the most sense for this stat.

  3. The stat as it appears on https://wynncraft.com/stats/player/. This is [combat level] + [all 12 profession levels] - 12, such that if your profession levels are all 1, your total level equals your combat level.

I think it would be best if these were all the same number for clarity.

The -12 never made sense to me as it's just confusing to work with past level 1. Lootrunning counting as levels kinda makes sense but I agree that the second option which used to be the generaly used one makes the most sense. First is alright and third I just hate.

pretty much my thoughts. second should be the standard imo

i still don't really get why you'd use a total level stat vs just showing all their stats in some truncated form

#

seeing a player's total level doesn't really tell you anything other than their play time

primal helm
#

All stats are still visible seperately

tired sage
#

yes i know, but i don't understand what purpose the total level number serves

primal helm
#

Total level is mainly used for a profession level reference point and leaderboards

#

Like proffers work towards 1690 which max total

tired sage
#

if it is used for leaderboards then it should include lootrun level

primal helm
#

Just nice to track overall progress aside from combat level

tired sage
#

if it is used as a prof level reference point then we should just turn it into a total prof level number

lean marlin
#

lootrun level is universal across your entire account which makes it triple weird being included

primal helm
#

Lootrun level is just there but slightly correct. At the same time only non class specific level so might be hard to count fairly

lean marlin
#

you just have the actual titles themselves and the exp

primal helm
#

The ct referenced them as numbers before release but uhh

#

That's only relevant if you talked to them ig

yeah

I like total level personally though as a reference point. I agree that it should be consistent however.

Now is this a suggestion? or a bug report? we need a moderator to resolve this conundrum

lean marlin
#

it's not a bug report because it's not a bug

#

i'm suggesting that the numbers be unified

This issue made it annoying to do the total level 300 tome req ngl

its in the bug reports on wynn dev brrr nep is 👁️ looking into it

3rd option has unforeseen consequences of raising weapon tome requirement by 12 prof levels which would likely annoy or even piss off a lot of people

Just have all levels start at 0, easy problem solved
