#"Practice" Mode for Raids

why dont u just practice in a real raid
bro op spent like half the post explaining that
its so longgg :/ and also why do u care about other ppl in pfinder? they signed up for it when they used /pfinder
and if u really want to play optimally u prob arent playing in pfinder anyway
and if ur spending the time to practice in tna ur probably already better than the average pfinder player so ur not really throwing
still, you shouldn't have to risk messing up other player's raid just so you can try out a build
yeah but this seems like it would take a whole lot of dev time so some people can go from killing the boss in 6.3 seconds to 6.1
i just really dont think this is a good use of dev time
true
yeah i agree with that, it's probably not worth the ct and dev's time to make it when it might add much to the game
even if people like this idea I’m pretty sure this is something ct specifically say would never be added
rip
itd be cool yeah but i dont think anyone would make it
you just gotta find a chill party and practice with them
or with friends if u have those
yeah this is just solved by having friends
either your whole party messes up and its ok, or u have 2+ people just carrying, only in the case where its 1 player who can consistently pull though this would even be an issue
if a room can’t be completed with 1 person
So like 95% of the goddamn rooms
it gets removed or modified
Modifying it only makes it not the room anymore
At that point are you really practicing for the raid
no thanks i don't want tna to become hypixel skyblock where people spend 10hrs perfecting secrets in one room then expect others to have that standard
im already expecting how to bridge or berry
or just how the raid works
Maybe but it would be a kind of fun endgame activity to just solo a raid boss whenever you want to even if it doesn’t give rewards
Sure you could do that already, but you have to either ask your party or hope they suck majorly
This would also provide a way to test builds outside of a training dummy or hoping for the best in TNA or LRs
most of these things are already standard, like ethereal root + void hole spawns, berry chain, soul stacking + tree nav, light skip + shadow spawns + rock, bulb rock, and aggro prio in boss
fortunately this isn’t a lot to remember and none of it is particularly niche or situational
that is no way near the skyblock standard, that is basic stuff people can learn from playing
i am worried that optimization will go way too far to the point it becomes the norm
because practice is a thing but perfecting stuff is another
yup exactly, and at the same time there isn’t like that much that people expect from what I can see
i doubt it’ll ever go that far tbh but maybe im wrong, tna is inherently not a very complex or deep raid
it's hard to imagine because the optimization is not here yet, but let's say some top tna players figure out the best way to do light
then they optimize it so it takes the least time possible, least click possible
so 2 charges to get to this rock, then 3 charges to the left, then 4 charges to the right
oh you mean like that ic
with precise numbers and everything
good post but dev time
sounds horrifying
