but how do you add tp spam as a a viable source of damage when a -23587235 tp cost weapon exists

I feel like a rework of timelocked (please) could probably make tp spam more viable

they're nerfing the playstyle instead of the morbillion buffs that make it so broken gotta love how competent the ct are at balance 🙏

idk hopefully timelock changes will make it more usable
yeah there are so many nodes that are just kinda useless
and it relies on manastorm to be viable
The buffs are now also a thing we've managed to point out to them, so I think it is now on their mind
It's just not as easy to change abilities without making any individual one useless
change the double cast tp effect to cast the second time in the opposite direction back to the start
well that would make actually getting anywhere with teleport be impossible
I'd personally prefer to see it allow you to use shift as toggle between forwards and backwards
your riftwalker ... you have 300% speed boost
and its always optional to not take the double cast

the 300% speed boost is completely unusable in combat so surrendering teleport would make for a nightmare of movement options

instead of making the speed boost drop off the second you stop sprinting have it decay at like 20% per second
cuz isnt it not instant 300%? isnt it that you build up speed longer you sprint?
it builds up the longer you sprint yea
issue is sprint is limited and shaman is the only class that can fight while not looking at an enemy (not literally, there's playstyles on other classes that are able to, but shaman very frequently can)
thats why i said make it decay instead of go away ... turn riftwalker archetype into more of a battlemage instead of just arcanist 0.5
also just another fun idea since riftwalker can be a more close range damager type thing (cuz the teleport shenanigans) they should add an optional passive somewhere that turns ice snake into an expanding ring around you instead of a straight line or following your cursor
mostly because ice snake and teleport are the only 2 skills that dont have like real transformations, heal has the mana bank on arcanist and meteor becomes orphion on lightbender
oooh i actually had another funny idea that could be linked to teleport (maybe an MID) ... probably a bit too busted tho ... basically you press the button and nothing happens ... but 4 seconds later you get teleported back to the place that you pressed the button (as long as its in the same like map zone and you havnt used like a teleport scroll or anything)
or maybe you still get access to the real teleport with that effect ... but the snapback still happens 4 seconds after you pressed it the first time with a 4 second cooldown so everything within those 4 seconds doesnt just spam your concurent tp locations
unless thats already a thing and im just dum
it's not
riftwalker has very few mechanically complex abilities
the most complicated one is Timelock, everything else is pretty straightfoward

honestly with the way things are right now it just feels like riftwalker is just more tame arcanist lol (probably because arcanist can steal winded from riftwalker kek)
riftwalker right now is literally arcanist with heal but you need to focus on spell costs to actually do anything because manastorm single-handedly makes sustaining 12 cps possible

an entire archetype just used for winded damage boost because one arcanist ability is way stronger with it than actual arcanist

because you can charge it super fast by swimming in the start pool
and as long as you can kill greg before you run out of sprint
it could make low ws mage possible
unfortunately this is a pretty big problem xd
just change it so that if you sprint it grows and when you leave sprint it decays so you dip in and out of sprint for partial buff xD
as depending on team greg can take 3s or 5 minutes
yeah and changing the way it affects teammates bcos rn they have to run exactly following your path to be given the buff and it is super useless

ranges kinda suck when you have to factor in like player to player lag and stuff
make a bubble around them maybe the size of the heal aoe

the real suggestion is that blink should teleport foward and then backward to the same spot if you cast it while holding shift
Rift DPS being teleport would be really... thematic but warp does kinda throw it all outta wack
or just make teleport not actually teleport yourself when you trigger an alternate attack
have all matters such as the space and air between you and your target shift and crush the target
good way of putting it lel
also its funny thunderstorm exists but its never really expanded on ever
