To be fair, it is far harder to fly with acrobat than it is with other classes, you can fly so fast with mage,
I think the biggest problem with assassin is the amount of abilitys, causing you to run out of ability points if you want to customize the build
Trickster has insane dps, but folds so fast when ranged mobs exist

You may be using underleveled gear, or gear that's spell focused and you are using your melee (or vice versa)

minmax your build better if you wanna 1 shot things, ask questions in build suggestions or use wynnbuilder/wynnatlas to find gear. you don't need to, though, the game only gets difficult at specific quests that you can just make a partyfinder party for
assassin is cool/uncool is a very subjective statement, i think midgame assassin is really cool but you're allowed to think otherwise lol
