#Finding the cave for "Taking the Tower" using the caves in the content book
1 messages · Page 1 of 1 (latest)
the end of the tutorial already forces you to engage with the content book so im not sure this is needed
could definitely rewrite parts of the quest to make the cave stuff more clear
i just dont think it needs to force you to use the book
right after you finish the tutorial theres a thing that puts a red circle around your content book, would there be something similar yall could do for taking the tower ?
What she's saying is we can't highlight stuff inside of the GUI
(with how it currently works)
dev time
Doing a cave isn't going to fix the issue of lacking gear
You're taking one issue and associating it with an entirely different, unrelated issue
Chests do not have a disposition to give you better gear. You can get equipment from a whole lot of stuff
i already said we could change some of the quest stuff to emphasize the existence of caves more
still think we should remove the caves from the quest book entirely ... or maybe just reveal them in the book as you find them ... keep them in the world as cool exploration points with good lewt ... and boof it
tbh tho we might have way to much quantity in caves and not enough quality
expecially way too much in relation to how fast quests propel you through the leveling process
What in the hell
like, yes, it can give you unidentified items, but so can killing the mob standing right next to you
As someone who has extensively talked about this and single-handedly leveled more than one class the past few months to test this out I can say with absolute certainty that doing caves as part of the gameplay loop absolutely sustains you from 1-100
It definitely fixes the issue of lacking gear
If you don't have the gear to fight mobs then doing a cave which requires you to fight mobs isn't really a viable solution
anyways that's not the real issue. I'm not opposed to this, just the idea that this is some magic healing elixir type shit
You either get this or new players who either get stuck at an impossible boss with gear twenty levels below them or spending emeralds on overpriced gear on the market thinking that there isn’t an easier way to get them
Again, caves don't solve that issue
Idk it kinda solved it for me
Consistently, several times, without fail
The player needs to constantly do caves alongside leveling up to upgrade their armor
I have directly proven that this works
Really well, actually
If I had free time I could level up another new class right now and document the results more extensively
But this is just me describing my recent experiences, caves are a physical manifestation of a lifesaver when it comes to obtaining gear for the average new player
To be honest I’m actually convinced that caves are part of the regular gameplay loop because I have no idea how people survive without them
Sorry, that was a loaded assumption
They don’t.
If I see one more player here asking for help for a boss while using a level 15 weapon in midgame I’m going to lose it
