I think in order to make the game fair for everyone there should be a feature in game where a guild's headquarter can only be attacked once the guild is under a certain amount of territories and a minimum amount of res in the HQ.
I think that the current meta of guild wars is extremely inaccurate and unrealistic as you should not be able to take an HQ without having already drained the guild of its resources.
In my opinion the game should only allow attacks on the outer boundaries and slowly make their way in to make the warring time longer and more fun.
In order to prevent wars which are too long to adversely affect the players I think we could introduce a 'pity' system which triggers without warning either within 5 minutes or never to also add a bit of spice and randomness to the warring scene and save guilds which afk for emerald seeking in order to not make them lose many emeralds.
