whats sad is that half of the barriers placed are pointless cuz you can still cheese stuff
i should try lootrunning on a clas other than warrior to see these changes in effect
so they just block the map for no reason at all
but all my builds are meme builds and cant do shit :(
the most anoying part is that i cant afk on the unbelievably boring reject grove and garden of whatever slay mob challenges while all the waves finish spawning (i can still afk at the garden cuz as i said they didnt even place barriers properly lmao)
which one is reject grove?
also dont the slay mob ones spawn waves faster if u kill all the mobs?

green booger area is pure aids for mage now istg
the space is already tiny
there is practicaly no space to kite him
and the terrain is so shit
and if the skinny tall shotgun ai enemy spawns then its just hella annoying cuz u have to fight at one slanted side of the tiny arena
well kiting him isnt an issue cuz he doesnt move much but the other mobs...

so far reject groce, book deffend challenge, statue defense at olmic, molten architechture defense, the garden of respite (i think thats the name) are all as easily cheesable as before even with all the barriers
the only ones i cant find a cheese for are the slay mobs at olmic, defense near loot symposium and the green booger boss
so hey 3 out of 8 are fixed (unless there is still a cheese that i havent found yet)
I might test around tonight and maybe record stuff just to highlight the problem

the verify your equipment UI still looks terrible though, the issue with that one was NOT the colors
the issues with that one are the animated start button, bad font, and metallic looking design
also the start button being blue was probably better

the start button looks like a slot machine with the moving arrows
the arrows just don’t fit into the concept at all
i like the gold instead of orange cuz it fits ingame gold very well

Also does anyone actually like the slow ass 5 second timer when starting a run. It feels like such a waste of time to me
it adds 5 seconds to a minimum 15 minute run
barely a waste of time
it would feel weird if there was no timer
though one thing that could maybe be changed is showing the beacons during the timer

that way you could decide during the timer and go immediately to the beacon you want

I think most people will still want to see all the floating items though, you’re probably alone in just wanting it to act like a raid chest

Also personally I hate the floating items. The spot mythics show up is so anti climatic to me. You have this whole arc of times and miss the perfect opportunity to be able to “highlight” if you get a mythic or not. Instead you just look for a tiny purple partial off the the right the feels extreme anti climatic. Imo
it feels better than when it’s in the chest and looks exactly like the other items
(unless you have wynntils and then it’s mythic background)
if they make the items mythic boxes (which I think they should do) it would look much better on the arc AND in the chest

Real. Lootrunning was the first time I’ve touched shaman again since 2.0 and now it feels useless again
I hate that I have to go back to warrior/mage for lrc cuz that's exactly what made my wrists hurt so much so I think I just won't do it as much anymore
oh and with the new stupid queue system it's just nah bruh, I don't want to play again :(

But jitterclicking STILL gets the queue system triggered, so I'm rightful when I say it's annoying as hell

Tbh I still don’t really understand what people mean why the q system. Sometime I click my mouse and it locks me out of my macros for 5-6 seconds and sometimes as I’m spamming macros for different spells ie I wanna bash -> war scream -> uppercut. One of the spells or inputs will just be eaten and deleted and ruin the spell cycling I’m trying to do. I wish that side of accessibility to macros was nice cause trying to cycle 3 different spells is an extreme skill issue for me honestly

i do kinda miss the times when mage physically couldnt spam meteor

1 spell cost Pure went hard in 1.20, and yeah you could do it as fast as you wanted but needed to wait for the meteor crashed

as if heavy spell/burst spell is also unable to do that
imagine trying to balance snipers the fps way in a shmup game
to not make the game nigh unplayable you'd have to totally rebalance damage and cost items to compensate anyways

you'd probably have to rebalance some (most) boss fights and mobs too to deal with the fact that using movement spells on demand isn't really a thing anymore
the fact of the matter is that wynncraft is and has been balanced around cooldownless spells for a very long time and it will require incredibly drastic changes to make it balanced in this new spell cooldown environment

why do people think on the order of multiple seconds when talking about cooldowns
a 0.5s cooldown is still a bad idea; it takes the fun out of the game
you would have to make a combo system or like reinvent how people play spell builds to make that work
i have no idea why people are trying to reinvent the wheel just because of arcanist in recent times being able to abuse macros
unless every class gets nerfed proportionally we end up with massive discrepancies like aura vs literally every other spell
it's also just. incredibly hard to reinvent wynncraft and rebalance everything
also they killed heavy spell so it seems wynn doesn't like the idea of spells of high damaging, infrequent spells although heavy spell was never particularly alive

it all boils down to the fact that spell cost ids are rollable and no matter what you set it to it's gonna be either 1. too busted if you get a good roll 2. completely unusable unless you get a good roll

Spamming melee with light bender should NOT reset the orb attack, and instead should make it a continuous flow of orbs after orb after orb. Makes you lose DPS on any wand faster than "slow" unless you want to literally kill your orbs one by one
It's really upsetting that you can find a wand with "super fast attack speed" but then it's completely incompatible with the archetype so you have an obligation to abandon your main attack DPS.

i went to do the exemplar challenge and since i had a lot of curses got 1 taped as i steped on it and died
1 second after being teleported to the lootrun camp i get teleported back to the exemplar and the challenge starts as if nothing happened

Imo lootruns basically turning into one shot everything or get one shot is such a bad design honestly. I think fundamentally the scaling and the boons and the curses just don’t work well as a system

If you get lucky and stack boons early but you also want curses early so you can use them to get the good boons.
For long runs I tend to pick 8 curses for max boons and then stop

i feel like its a combined problem of you relying on agi for ehp and lag (+ multihit)
Idk it’s more of the fact “one shot” mechanics are just bad. Then scaling every single mob to have the potential to basically instantly kill you just sucks. I have a clip of my getting murdered in like 3 frames by some random mobs when I was just running from camp to camp and I have like 800k-1 mil ehp at the time
Like why does dmg tick instantly but health regen is only every 4 seconds. When enemies can instantly kill you before your health regen even can kick in is crazy to me. It made me 300k eh regen just mean nothing. And I was playing a tank build
That’s why I say scaling just fucking sucks, like yes I kill camps insanely fast but if wynncraft doesn’t want me to “cheese” then there’s a huge chance I’m just gonna get one shot because of the ridiculous scaling that happens when you also have some curses

well mythics definitely need a nerf seeing as mythics are basically guaranteed with like 2k effective pulls (180 pull 10 rr run), and some people have gotten 3 mythics in one roll
If the problem is multiple mythics in one roll, then cap Mythics at 1.

But if the general problem is that Mythics are too common, would you prefer the Mythic rates to be so low in LRs, that the only thing people are gonna RR for is LE, so that they can, again, purchase the Mythics and cause a huge demand for Mythics that we possibly can't catch up with?
Granted take this with a grain of salt as this is putting it simply, speculation. There's a bit of a problem, although as someone who rarely was able to get mythics due to job and other things, it's quite nice to receive one after doing a few hours worth of LRing.

It’s not about the amount. I had around 45 mythics found when 2.0.3 came out, and when doing old lootrunning before that, even in the 40s, I still got excited when finding mythics because they were ACTUALLY rare.
If they instead worked in making it more fun and reducing mythic rates then people would still lootrun even with lower rates

they are specificaly for red beacons, if you use green while a red is runing then timer wont reset

Reason why I say any of this is cause one run I was able to get 30 minutes on the clock, which is just super nice. But then the next time I got a challenge that gave me regular time, it went straight down to 15 minutes

Honestly I haven’t seen anyone talk about this and it kinda scares me. I’ve been collecting mythics so fast recently I’m wondering how I’ll feel once I’ve collected them all( I don’t see that taking longer than 3ish months) I feel like I’ll immediately lose all interest playing the game. I’m not sure how to deal with this besides 2 bandaid solutions, release a crap ton more mythics like 2x or 3x the amount of current mythics and have item team just constantly pushing out new ones. Or nerf the shit out of mythic rates. Idk I’m just worried about how I’ll feel a month from now if there aren’t any changes
