The pet system is imo one of the most underutilised systems in Wynncraft. I feel this system can benefit from a complete or even semi rework. My suggestions would be:
-Remove a majority of the pet limitations for non-donators besides cosmetics and perhaps a few simple perks.
-Reduce the overal max level, increase the experience gain necessary to level pets and spread the levels required to unlock perks thinner. This would make leveling pets feel more rewarding.
-Potentially invent a system that allows players to customize their pet's skill set for more diverse pet related gameplay (i.e. reducing pet base damage in exchange for them applying a "mark" which slightly increases player damage)
-Pet gear, such as collars that increase pet stats and allows them to more deeply progress alongside you. (Could be bad due to item bloat)
-Have every player recieve a free basic pet at a certain level, comparable to how players recieve a free horse at level 13.
-Allow players to optionally transfer perks/levels to different pets to allow for pet skins to still function without punishing the player. This could potentially be a donator perk.
These are only a few ideas I whipped up in an hour of thinking. I feel the pet system could really shine and add a fresh new aspect to Wynncraft without overcomplicating the overall experience.
