in the beginning before anything, before even time itself, there was light(Orphion) and dark(Dern) and War(The result of the two conflicting)

these for whatever reason are constantly at war with one another, this war between light and dern takes place in the plane of influence

wait i should explain planes

we the character, as well as the world of wynncraft and it’s provinces exist in the plane of reality, the concrete plane, the physical plane

call it what you want

the plane of influence is a plane that’s parallel with ours, it’s where the more conceptual things exist like light and dark

but it directly influences our world

the great elf’s of the past

got a dream from Orphion that showed the original Guardian of the forest chopped down. this was a warning from Orphion, but they thought it was a request

upon chopping down the great tree, an event known as The Equinox occurred, in which Light’s Secret (the portal to the light realm (located in the plane of influence)) and at the same time the portal in wynn was enabled (roots of corruption) (it’s also assumed that the portal to Dern was too) this caused the powers of light and Dern, and it’s war to have greater influence on our plane

the Silent Expanse was formerly part of the Wynn province, but was warped and changed by the influence of Dern (dark)

the Forest of Light was also affected by the light

and

the Corruption, which is from war

ok so

War (we presume) doesn’t exist on its own

it rather exists sprouting from the conflict between Light and Dern

the root of corruption is the influence of war

Each one as Madeline mentioned prior, is a construct fully made out of their respective type/energy.

With both of them gone however, I would just imagine yah. Life itself could either possibly collapse or otherwise just slowly wither away.

Sometimes I do question on that note, if Cataclysm is item lore is taken to it's conclusion.

Effectively we stole in the Royal Trials quest the very solution to the war of the realms is problem. Effectively un-doing what the Elves did with cutting the old spirit of the forest.

Though this is likely without a doubt incorrect.

alr yea looking at the dialogue above, theres another dialogue set on the wiki for if you talked to the traveler and he told you that what happened wasnt aster's fault
