A rating system for quests, you could rank a quest after completing it on atleast one class, the ranking would be simple and use a 1-5 star system ( if you like the system i think an ability to write a review would be pretty cool ). A review system could allow newbies to skip some old and outdated quests that would give them a bad impression about the game, like lost tower 💀, and make players skipping really good and important quests like the envoy part 1, and raid quests really rare.

me when i rate all RoL quests 1 star because i hate lari (noone gets access to NoL raid)
i think it would give a skewed perspective on quests
Then devs could just highlight raid quests and write on the description "RAID QUEST"
and?
So players would be intrested
the raid quest is RoL 5 not any of the other ones
Make it only rol 1 and 5, then players will do rol 1, see rol 2 and will get intrigued
see rol2 and get disgusted because of all the quest dialogue*
Me when wynn players destroy a legit feature ( they do not like some specific quests )
rat when newbies start to forgo quests entirely and farm mt wynn spiders
this is why starred mobs got the star removed
aah so thats why
Took long enough for you to give a reason
did anyone ever even ask for a reason?
I like this idea actually, but we'd need something lower than 1 for RoL 3
This should be looked at mor as maybe the leveling experience is so god awfully slow that people rather kill the same mob for an hour than follow the intended path
idk seems kinda silly
for really bad or outdated quests like lost tower and other early game stuff im pretty sure staff knows about it but just probably dont wanna dedicate time to it
for actual genuine feedback on quests you can always make something on the forums rather than some arbitrary numbers that will likely just confuse new players even more as to why every quest has a community given rating
I dont see how "community rating: four stars" could confuse someone
People like seeing number go up fast
ngl mob stars didnt and still dont change the fact that people speed level and use mt wynn
removing them was entirely pointless
this also applies to new players going 105 in scrapyard and being clueless about the game later 🤷
new players on their way to give 5/5 to ToA because it gives money and 0/5 to thousand meters under because it's long
well tbh thousand meters under is really dated looking
yeah it is
me when people read quest reviews before playing them
there are only that many quests in the game and you play them once per class, you're not rating restaurants on yelp
I think this suggestion has some merits, but definitely don't show it for first time players who will only be confused by skewed ratings from the most inconsistent audience you can ask for feedback from (the playerbase)
you can see the average rating after you've completed the quest once on a different class (so the mechanic doesn't appear AT ALL on your very first playthrough), and you can rate a quest after you've completed it on two classes
?????
When stars were removed it say why on any patch
i dont represent the entire ct and i wasnt on it when the stars did get removed
also its been stated a bunch before
It’s also because low level isn’t that fun to people since everything they see is “later”
Like everyone gets leveling is part of the game, it’s fine, it’s just slower than most would prefer
It shows that everytime there’s a 1% faster way most people who know it use it
Maybe try making an argument instead of using skull emoji
.
Dont add text review then just make it that after you complete a quest you could go to the quest book, right click the quest and pick 1-5 stars
Simple as that, not complicated not confusing, literally the simple concept ever
fair enough
idk I just think that it wouldn’t really add much from a review standpoint for whoever’s making the quests and that if it’s just for newer players I don’t really like the idea of some number dictating/influencing what quests people should and should not play
^
Oh wait is this publicly visible? I thought this was like rate it so CT have feedback
Players shouldn't see it imo, also most quests will be 1 or 5 stars probably
the post never specified so for the sake of argument I assumed that it was
and even then if it isn’t viewable by players I just don’t think it adds very much, although I guess it’s not actively harmful anymore
@fair palm is the rating public or private for CT to review
Against it then, if it's to help CT figure out feedback it's one thing but people will just downvote any not short quest
Also lost tower isn't even a particularly bad quest
It sucks
it just doesnt have much content
You go to a random tower, go down a small cave, kill an enemy, end of quest
Pretty simple quest, easy xp for new players
Yeah it's a fetch quest
although, I don’t think it’s too harmful, it’s just bad
