Currently unlocking most of the guild tomes has literally nothing to do with the tome itself and some are either annoying or forces you into content that takes way too long and is pointless doing it on multiple classes (300 total level) and some minor ones which are extremly annoying to do on multiple classes (tol completion) and some content some might not even want to join into (10 guild wars)
The best way to fix this would be to add challenges that has something to do with the tome slot itself (🤯) (somthing like kill 20000 mobs instead of total level 300, move unique dungeon wins to dungeon xp tomes, move total level to gathering slots, etc)
This would give the challenges some meaning instead of it being random tasks slapped on with no meaning behind it and would make it less /kill inducing on doing it multiple times on different classes.
