I actually hate travel scrolls as the main transportation method in Wynncraft.

IMO the "links" method makes most sense from a lore standpoint (ie, Seaskipper linking together ports across the Ocean or the Juggler linking Cinfras with eastern Gavellian towns). I wish we would have a similar system linking west Gavel with maybe Bucie? and Detlas with Almuj, then Almuj with Rymek

The main problem is that you can use scrolls almost everywhere, not just in towns

Lore wise its great (having a mage tp you instead of just reading a scroll) but it would be better if it is just an addition and not a replacement of scrolls

Hypixel Skyblock feels like a bunch of systems a lobbies, specifically because of /teleport, this would ruin Wynn. Wynn has an actual world with lore and quests, it feels alive, having a /teleport would make it bad. I am fine with a tp merchant that takes you to Major Cities, reminds me of Morrowind

Wynn is more focused on immersion and feeling apart of the world, /tp would detract from that massively

i don’t like scrolls of the moment but damn we do not need /fast travel mechanic we already have other forms of fast travel this just makes wynn less fun.

exploring or travelling is part of wynn’s main source of like entertainment take loot caves take weird niche areas take boss altars i guess. adding a command which lets you fast travel from anywhere kinda just removes the fun..?

skyblock i guess works around it because there’s not a much of exploring to do, but wynns world is vast and detailed so adding this mechanic kinda puts that all to waste

teleport scrolls work by consuming sp and taking emeralds to buy it’s only for the lazy couple rich people. but this just kinda amplifies the problem

^ if you want super easy/effortless fast travel, go play hsb, you type in a command and teleport.

also sure scrolls take up bank space but it doesnt take up that much space. you can also just use a horse, they're generally fast enough to get between places that are somewhat close to each other.

though i will say, i dislike how travel scrolls require 1 soul point but thats more of me just disliking the soul point system

you don't have to plan ahead with a scroll, you dont have to pay emeralds, and you dont have to use up enderchest space
