From then on, it was mainly the alliance trying to stay on the map until 1.20 launch. There was reason to live now, and really, for a lot of people it was their last opportunity to enjoy the old system, and even wars in general. One last go at it.

I loved that alliance so much we left and rejoined it 5 times

I also very much enjoyed The Emperium of Wynn. It was during a time where Hax owned the entire map and wars were broken. The only mega alliances then were community. It was honestly so cool seeing all guilds just being part of a larger community

The only Artemis guilds that pushed map claims once 1.20 dropped was ERN, ILQ, LXA and Fox. ILQ and LXA weren't even planning to hold claims, they just jumped on the ERN opportunity and ended up managing claims at the end of the day.

It is seriously that bad tho. Only them and Fox were really poking at the system, and even then if Artemis had a chance for more activity, it wasn't going to be for another week because of the whole "break" agreement, but at that point it was just 🤷

The scheme of things changed. Artemis wasn't going anywhere post-1.20 despite having kicked 3 allies, and it held strong until 1.20. The goal for most of Artemis was just to finish off an era of guilds with Artemis's victory and having survived until 1.20. After 1.20 hit, the motivation was lost. Many guilds went on breaks, didn't even attempt claiming their lands in the new system.

It was only Fox and Goose on the map, so by then Goose had already had the map after the wipe got wiped. Three Artemis guilds just miraculously ended up taking half of Gavel. Quite frankly though, Coalition was much more dedicated and willing than Artemis. Goose has been fighting for this for a long time, whereas Artemis players were just not interested in putting in the effort for basically no reward. For Goose, the reward was purging Artemis.
