basically it doesn't change manual farming whatsoever, but instead adds like a harvester (kinda like minions from HSB) that you can place around prof spots. they have like x block radius (probably like 10) and require fuel to run. fuel is gathered from either Coal nodes (there would be a few different variants of coal with different tradeoffs) or scrap(?) but it only lasts a certain amount of time and you can only put a certain amount of fuel in at once

they gather block mats (% chance) and xp (significantly reduced compared to manual farming)

the main thing (pointed out to me by a few people) is that i dont want it to feel like shit for people who have already grinded for hours doing profs to get to like 132, so the xp would be far far lower than manual grinding

#

it would work if you're offline but you need to go and (normally) need to go manually collect the mats and refuel it yourself

#

also there'd be like depletion of a node if a harvester is on it for too long, sorta like loot quality in caves except in inverse. the longer your harvester is there, the lower % chance of harvesting the node and lower xp you get

harvesters would have like upgrades / perks (idk what to call them yet) which would be obtained through lootruns, raids, forgery, etc.

the general wynn theme of unique rare legendary fabled mythic would be there. some of them would be simple +/- upgrades, some would be major id styled ones

i dont really have actual numbers yet so the idea is more general and can be stronger or weaker for xp but its mainly designed to allow you to slowly gain xp by keeping it maintained
