Let's face it, being able to craft high level items is good for utility purposes like xp bonus or loot bonus/quality, but ya just can't make a build as good as it could be with a mythic or two EVEN with that one crafted item thats supposed to bring your build together. And if you can, you're running to the blacksmith every 15 minutes to repair your items. It's a slap in the face to every profession obsessed person I know including myself. The whole idea behind being able to craft stuff was to put in the effort to farm and build these items that could be as good as mythic items instead of relying on RNG to get a mythic, and I was super excited when crafting came out for this reason. I was underwhelmed, and disappointed. Even with all the changed we've been presented, it still seems underwhelming.

I've been thinking about a solution, and I think the best thing I've come up with so far is a consumable that either does something to amplify the positive id's of a crafted item, or add an id based on the tier of the consumable. So say if you wanted to give your crafted item a massive mythic level boost, you seek out... let's call it a 'mythic catalyst'. I haven't exactly worked out the specifics yet but Destiny 2 has a very similar feature for it's exotic weapons. You do a mission and unlock the catalyst, and it buffs an existing mechanic for the gun. That's basically what Im getting at here. We could base it off of a reward for hitting a certain milestone or something like a certain gathering level or a TNA drop (since those are also disappointing and underwhelming, IM LOOKING AT YOU CHARM OF THE VOID)
