man i say this as genuinely as possible you guys really should balance wars around HARDER terrs not vlows because stuff like 10m 90% 30k 4.7x is hard as all shit
i know your reply is going to be something like "well drain your opponent and attack all their other terrs before attempting the HQ!" but that just isnt feasible when they actually put a decent attempt of fighting back
even if you manage to take their HQ/claim they are going to come at you again anyway along with the allies they have, retake their claim and be fed res, essentially nullifying all your work
you dont even profit from taking another guild's claim. you do not move even an inch on the SR leaderboard because the rates are just so awful when you dont own the claim 24/7
like holding FFAs give more SR than attacking nonstop for an entire season, and attacking easily takes 10000x more effort than sitting on an FFA, farm SR until you get wiped, then spawn on the FFA again. it shows the state of the game when complying with the map-holding alliance gives you better rewards than actually trying to fight the status quo
have you seen the last season SR lb? i assume it was either you or salted who made it considering i think you two are the only devs to even want to look in the direction of guilds. the NUMBER 20TH RANKING GUILD IS A TWO MAN GUILD WHO ONLY DO FFA ALL DAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!
HQs are hard man genuinely. a 0conn 0ext 4x11 HQ still has like 5m 90% 12k 4.7x and you need an actual team to even think about beating this. obviously you dont have the people to test something like this but like spectate an HQ snipe or even watch a video god damn!!!! it feels like youre dismissing wars as like this really easy content because you never talk about attempting anything higher than a medium
i think the fire creep fix is justified. but what's the replacement dps for it. like. you want EVERYONE to go back to tstack that barely reaches 1m dps? take the earlier HQ stats for example. a 5m 90% tower with 2 dpses (1m dps) takes 25 seconds!! thats if the tower doesnt even have conns or externals which it most definitely will have. a more reasonable example would be something like 10m HP 90% DR, which takes 50 seconds... yeah good luck having all 5 members survive for 50 seconds
if anything, now you gotta re-nerf tower hp. or tower damage reduction, or tower dps idk. wars are definitely much harder than pre-2.0 and i think taking away fire creep ruined the balance
also on the topic of fire creep, the only ones really using it were TNL, Mag, and fuy, and it just so happens those 3 are pretty much the only attacker guilds who could consistently take HQs and hold claims for a few hours. i think nerfing attackers at the game's current state is just not a very good idea, attackers are struggling enough as it is
remove sr,, maybe remove em seekings too. shit holds together the current map alliance guilds like a glue because everyone is scared of losing their claim and free rewards. the staleness of the map is killing the game (again) cause god damn bro 13 defenders vs a couple attackers is hella unbalanced. in pre-1.20 there were a lot of guilds on both sides and both alliances and pretty much equal warpower, which is something unthinkable now...

the healing has been routinely nerfed (mage heal heavy nerfs, shaman healing nerfed after release) so everything became much harder afterwards in terms of survivability
that's why people are so upset about dps being nerfed now
no healing is already shit enough but now no high dps means no attacking
at that point why even bother warring because you get nowhere and end up in the same place you started a few hours ago
like it made sense to fix fire creep since it was a bug, but it just shows that literally everything of any sort of worth is melee and that type of warring is stale as eternity

okay so my general idea is: each room has a pre-determined size you can build in, and anything inside of this space can be edited by chiefs
you start with a core entrance area to your guild's housing with locked doors in 3 directions from the entrance
the more guild housing points you accumulate, you can purchase more room
and it'd be like different room styles have different costs
e.g. if you want a long straight corridor, it costs like 10 for example
if you want like a grand hall, it costs 25
