The only thing objectively "good" or "bad" about crates is the rarity of the skin you got; otherwise it's just preference. Also I suggest asking any further non-bomb-related questions in #❓questions. Can be a little hit or miss sometimes but generally more people will see it

I share the frustration to an extent, as I've shared in #1019649786799996980 in the past. Even now, I'm still not sure it's something you should be able to buy, as it "feels" wrong to get an advantage like that. That being said, they did spend money on it, so what?
On the upside, Wynn recently increased the number of people that can be in a world (not sure at what expense to performance; based on something Salted posted around the launch of Rekindled, the custom models are very server intensive), so that helps everyone catch bombs regardless of rank.

That said I remember there was something on the store survey they did recently about making ranks purchasable with shares. I think that idea might help you... though it could also have the side effect of making shares more expensive for other purposes, including profession bombs

If based purely on random chance, you have a 1-in-numberofworlds chance every time someone uses a bomb.
Sometimes if I feel like it, I'll look for a world that has bombs I want, and post the status of any worlds I visit in the process. I haven't felt like it in a while because I don't feel like chasing bombs for myself, among other reasons.

All that said, I truly appreciate those of you that post in here with any amount of regularity. I have a few of you on a list of people I would try to invite if I ever plan a bomb/bomb party in advance.
