I love world building, and magic systems especially, with a note on magical physics.
I can't expect maxwells mana equations, but any homage to real science done in a humble way is something i highly appreciate in stories.
I'm a big fan of the Novel of the anime mushoku tensei for this reason.

Further i finished the webnovel, It does get better, though there are a few moments in the university arc where it still peaks.
And if you also feel fed up from lower quality anime. then mushoku tensei is worth a 2nd watch.
Just skip the parts when it's too much.

He's a disgusting and selfish human being that would rather touch himself than go to his own parents' funeral, but he's simultaneously a selfless person who sacrificed himself to save the life of a girl he doesn't even know. You don't need to personally identify with his exact flaws that lead him to feel that way.

We literally do this all the time with every character in media. I don't need to personally have a family member die in order to identify with the sheer depression that is from losing a loved one in an earthquake, or a shooting, etc etc etc.

I will say it again, the anime itself tackles a genuinely heavy topic that most people wouldn't even touch with a ten foot pole. It does it well, but that doesn't change the fact that the core nature of it makes people uncomfortable. Meanwhile, our main character interact with hesitation as he has earth-centric knowledge of how slavery is fundamentally evil as a concept.
The anime is complex in the sense that it explores these topics from a very nuanced position. Even if he did want to dismantle the system, what, he's supposed to take on an entire kingdom by himself? Or put a huge assassination target on his back that the kingdom very explicitly would not protect him from?

But I think it's safe to assume that Youtube detects when the ads are removed and, when that happens, launches a bunch of countermeasures in an attempt to put them back, and that slows down the rendering and such, much like how a body catches a cold and the immune system kicks in...

Perhaps, when a video loads, it will try to load the ads as well and, if unable to load them after a few seconds, it will launch a error code, catch it and then... process it?

I may not know why it happens, but now I'm fully invested in what's going on in the background.
