The biggest issue with the clone is that he's just lowkey got one braincell
sometimes he'll just go chasing an ad instead of the boss and you can't really stop him

Not exactly, sure the interface with the server would be the same but ultimately I would be looking into creating a completely different rendering system based on the data that minecraft provides. Not to mention I will be writing it in a faster language. I will begin with the protocol layer ofc which will be the most important. C++ will provide much wider support and performance compared to Java, I will keep it public and eventually open source and its goal is ultimetly to enable people to create much better clients in the future. The driving factor for me will be my passion for game engines and renderers.
