to answer your question with some more info, if you plan on casting a lot of spells and are always running out of mana you may want wisdom, however, wand proficiency is never not useful, and gives you a deceptively long attack range

also, even if the attack damage buff is minor, it increases the damage of all your spells

wisdom may be better for you now due to having less access to good mana regen due to low level gear, but after you get to the point when you can respec wand proficiency is generally better
