So if you wanna get right into fruma, make sure you've got that done

Some of the more valuable gear will be upgradeable or replaceable with some ascension sorta thing, but it's not known which ones will be, and it might be a gradual thing, so I guess I wouldn't make any huge investments into gear or weapons if you anticpate going for stuff around the new level cap 😛

Shaman is complicated

Shaman is very good at holding one spot with their spells, so they’re decent at many boss fights with smaller arenas, and kick ASS at World Events and gathering prof resources

The issue is since their abilities are oftentimes tied up in that totem their gameplay can be very complicated to execute at a high level, especially while avoiding the jaws of death, made even harder by having the lowest base durability in the game with 60% resistance as a baseline (meaning all incoming damage is multiplied by 1.4x)

Latergame you get access to abilities to reliably control and maneuver yourself and your totem, and the muscle memory to use them, and that’s when you start picking up steam
