There are other voting methods that take into account multiple voting rounds, and what sort of majority should qualify a candidate as an election winner. That's the "republic" part of the US's democratic republic style government. I've also felt that in many scenarios direct democracy would be more prudent for a government "by the people", as elected officials have been shown to consider a lot of things that are unrelated or opposed to the well-being of their constituents.

I'm not one for conspiracies around vote tallying in the US, but I will think the idea through. So a direct vote is happening around a single new policy. Some wealthy/powerful people who feel they would suffer losses due to this policy decide to do underhanded things to prevent it being passed. Let's say they go and bribe election officials (these are individuals appointed to manage vote tallying in US elections) and say "I will give you $100k if you miscount the votes so this policy does not pass" and that they bribe the officials successfully. How would this be different then the lobbying that is currently seen where these wealthy/powerful people persuade Representatives in elected office to vote certain ways? Even if it became an issue, auditing a vote is a lot easier than auditing the decision-making process of the Representative who voted against the new policy for rooting out corruption.

From my experience with working in election campaigns, non-profits or being the receiving end of non-profit companies

Generally when the budget is split between many parties inside the party and there are only a few enforcers for all of them - it becomes much easier to fabricate the way budget is spent/it becomes much easier to throw another person under the bus(if more people are involved in a specific project)

Maybe I misunderstood. Wouldn't shifting blame be less possible if responsibilities become delineated? Ex: it's not possible to say the other teller stole cash from your teller drawer if you are supposed to keep it locked, keep your key on you, and not let anyone access your drawer outside of a drawer audit where you are present.

Other than that, you are considering a genuine issue around enforcement of the results of a vote. In my theoretical government, I imagined that legislators still existed by they were elected based on their writing skills and only write the laws that the public then votes on.

However, the US is currently on the brink of a constitutional crisis of this nature. Federal Judges have issued court orders against Donald Trump's administration telling them to stop doing things that are not in the purview of power of the Executive Branch of the Federal Government. Donald Trump did follow those court orders in his first term, but is presently not following them. If someone does not follow a court order, they can face sanctions that include fines and jail time except in the President's case they are part of the Executive Branch of the US federal government and that branch is technically responsible for seeing that court sanctions are enforced.

So, when it comes to enforcers, you make sure enforcing is the only thing they do and nothing else.

Since enforcer of the action can't physically just fulfill the action by themselves - there will always be need to cooperate with their underlings, appoint people for certain tasks that are included in the "fulfilling process", the latter dilute their responsibilities as well since it's an organization, then there's enforcers of enforcers with the same story.
The more people involved in the task - the easier it is to shake off your own guilt if you are in power.

In the US we have a gym class where kids get introduced to different types of sports. I was more spitballing, but my gym classes definitely didn't teach cooperation skills beyond shutting up and yeeting the ball appropriately when you have it. If there was a good way to incorporate cooperation skills into primary education, I think it would be invaluable.

Enforcers dont need to cooperate with a person that isnt doing what they're supposed to do - just consider the police. If you have an enforcement position, they're just responsible for making sure that someone goes to jail if other powers have determined that the person should go to jail (as an example). You did consider corruption within enforcers - and that is also a problem w/ police in the US - so you do need a robust mechanism for handling enforcers who do inappropriate things. At the very least, there would need to be a way to remove them from an enforcement position in a manner directly tied to a vote by the associated population. Leaving it up to more concentrated/efficient systems as to whether a police officer keeps their job, and suddenly people only maybe lose their jobs after they've killed someone as opposed to avoiding that situation to their utmost ability knowing they can and will lose their career if they handle something in way that the public doesn't trust.

Hm. Not sure what that has to do with passing legislation. Direct democracy in a theoretical society doesn't need to be an all-encompassing scenario. You can still have elected positions and government employees and bureaucracies. Not everything has to be deliberated by the community each time in place of existing laws and regulations. For much of those questions, my answer would be "judges" or "prisons". Most countries have courts following a legal principal of due process over whether an arrested person goes to jail for a sentence or is released. As for how to get judges and wardens, that answer is: the usual way, elected or hired. Are all these guys perfect humans who never do wrong? No. But that delves into the specifics of how to weed out corrupt elected judiciaries, and how to weed out corrupt government penal officers, as opposed to what was talked about which is legislation and corruption around legislation. If you can't expect prison wardens to still keep criminals in jail whether they agree with their politics or no, then your society has fundamentally failed in ways that leaves considering how to enact laws redundant.
