if not basically a deck builder is a game where you get a deck of weak cards, and then you buy cards that go into your discard pile. when your deck runs out you shuffle your discard pile and it becomes your deck again

so thus those cards you bought are now in your deck

so clank is a deck builder

you buy cards

and then your deck becomes better

but what clank does is take the classic deck builder formula and adds a board

where you move around

and you try to steal an artifact either from a spaceship or a dungeon

and get out alive

and you are competing to see who gets the most points

you get points from some cards you buy, from the artifact, etc

so basically need to thread the wire between having a good deck with good cards + lots of points and surviving

because good cards also generate this thing called clank (wow who coulda guessed)

and boss attacks will randomly happen throughout the game, and the more clank you have generated the higher chance you die
