Bob has elemental defenses, and they are raw dmg cuts. When you have spells with lots of hits and low multipliers, like 4 angels, some mobs will take 0 dmg

and since elemental defense is a raw subtraction from all damage sources, your arrow spam projectiles (playing bolt or trapper) kills your dps

had an idea for my server where there would be an assassin subclass (archetype) that slows down time to backstab mobs.

Ability: Time Manipulation

no you just have to have whatever the game wants for the specific boss

also I'm probably underleveled since most of the mobs give "underdog bonus" but the xp gains are still ass

I assume this boss is gonna fold to the same ability since it's also weak to ground

I don't think he has counter heroics at least

I believe I used a few knight (or whatever its called) skills and nothing happened

but like, trying to finesse past all the hp/mp/bp stealing while not dying and still keeping damage on the board when he counters your only decent attacker, just does not work

I think I was maybe fighting for 30 minutes and he was at half hp and I just closed the game

you can have 3 guys that absorb or reflect the party wide spell the boss throws at you

but as long as the 4th guy isnt immune, he will still keep using it

but as soon as the last guy is null or higher, almighty spam for you

megaten is really good but the game design tends to devolve towards the end

once you can just make everyone immune to everything

it stops being a game of "counter the boss" and becomes "counter the boss but not so much that you trigger anti cheese"
