it's very much more likely that what happened is that there is a bug where if you use too many oranges at once, the game just has an aneurysm and acts as if you have none, but then again, that wouldn't explain why for almost 40 challenges, I only had blue, purple, orange and rainbow beacons offered to me religiously, without reds, greens or aquas showing up at all

since the other beacons eventually showed up after like 40 challenges, my guess is that stacking too many oranges caused that bug, and it only fixed itself once the oranges ran out
