about Finding Meaning, I found these statements
I was initially suspecting the author was under some kind of influence due to becoming complacent and no longer wanting to eliminate the colossus, specially since clight kills him and says "this is for your own good"
it would seem the author really simply grew complacent
seeking to eliminate the threat of the colossus became just having thesead be a safe haven for him, even though the colossus took everything away from him

- the author immediately take's the colossus's side right after, it's questionable if the gasses were already taking effect by now

It was cool to have to destroy the seal on Sand-Swept Tomb, or burn away the webs in front of Infested Pit
And really made the dungeons feel like a big event that was actually relevant to the story
