If the stats were equaled out who knows
context matter because usually what Rymek luke up against usually is like
coyotes
other bandits
and yeah
he is like
They did
it only small patches
He might just be a big fish in a small pond
like the roster here
is range from outdated lore
random ass person
or whatever the fuck that is
Who's the random ass person?
someone like Rymek Luke
like in comparison to all these roster
he pretty mcuh random ass person
like
to be perfectly fair
the recruit is also a randomly ass person-
OH THATS A GOOD POINT LOL
3
LOWKEY FORGOT ABOUT DERNIC CREATURE
gods
but also like not really random
Also prison of souls and skein just
I wonder what would've happened if he decided to just like
out of the question because most of them just oudated
start travelling like the player did
He is definitely working with limited equipment in Rymek
If he got the chance to go to corkus or gavel
probably going somewhere
Gods knows what his guns can do
definitely he would be rich somewhere as gun smith
Lowkey Rymek Luke in another timeline:
Mysterious Stranger from Fallout
his gun are created by him attempting to reverse engineer corkian technology
Oh good point
and corkian dont liek people meddle with their tech
I
so corkian been pressuring detlas to tell Almuj to deal with the criminals
his colors do kinda remind me of a corkian
that could work too
cause my hc is that in rymek
there are corkian smugglers
that selling corkian tech in there
he could be a corkian smuggler runaway from home and gain reputation of his own in the mesa
Well thing is that his weapon is fairly unique compared to everyone else
From the flavor text of his gun:
The weapon of the fearsome lone bandit, Rymek Luke, it is unique in that it is designed to fire small metal rounds instead of more traditional projectiles.
tbh I dont even think that should be what unique about Bulleye
what unique about bulleye should be the fact that it capable of firing in quick suecession
without the need to reload
that a big deal
I think that's more him to be fair
I have a paladin run in the works similar to my acrobat run I recently did
but this paladin is on a holy crusade and I'm making sure to hit every boss altar on-level
this guy was fun to deal with actually, human innovation and drive for destruction met holy protection
rather than the gun itself
guns back then(which likely exist in Wynn province)
arem ostly musket
which take long time to reload
As someone else suggest before
i love that
it likely the reason guns are not widely used in Wynn
Guns are really only confirmed to be used in some parts of Corkus and Fruma
mostly because take too long to reload to be useful against horde of undead
That's a really good point, never would've thought of it
bandits have blunderbluss in sandy scandel
Still tho
and wecan amke educated guess that wynn people likely do use guns because they have access to gunpowder
majority of Wynn province just oudated in writing wise
definitely not as strong as tasim or aledar was
that same quest has them steal high-end weapons just for the heist
it may have been from the vaults
but maybe around level 80-90?
and the writers back then probably written under assumption that medival time has no gun
which they did LOL
LMAO
Thing is they are trying to modernize
that be true
anti-gun knight armor was a thing lol
double layer metal plating like an armored car is made
I think those would make sense and give wynn more zombie apocalyptic feel
But the problem is they are limited with their technology
also yeah
Gavel shoudl help
also I think Wynn capable of advance tech on their own
From the detlas shipments, they're more interested in Llevigar's quartz shipments
the war been going on for 1000 years
Which is more magical-electricity
Gavel feels like it's still very much behind technologically even compared to Wynn
and with Bob persence, they likely develop something new along the way
Wynn compared to the other provinces is honestly more on the decline
except for the golem factory and quartron that is
oh yeah on topic of that wait
Yeah?
IDdid some exploration on how Wynn rewrite could be like if they expand on more how villager impact their technology
not just villager actually, outside world interaction
after 900 AP wynn technology take a massive jump
magic being research and improve upon to become a weapon
woah whered you get that om
quartz weaponry was part of my wartorn project
until CT write to reference to that
hmm
Quartz gear
It's more magic-electricity based
but not quite electromagic right?
that
rather difficult to say
but it defintiely not electricity
the thing about quartz is that it store magic
just magic itself
quartz does seem to work differently from electromagic
seems more like generic magic pew pew laser energy
yeah
It’s mentioned in like one quest only and an old secret discovery
it
it literally difficult to say
cause the way quartz written in game is very poorly
like EXTREMELY poorly and confusing
Seems like it’s more akin to a battery?
but overall what you need to know is quartz absorb magic and store it inside
also
Llevigar is effectively a nuclear bomb
essentailly act as battery
I mean
we dont know how the absorption work
I mean theoretically yes
But the thing is that its SO MASSIVE
That was the Heart of Lievgar quest
this is fucking insane that the city still stand
it should have been explode in 1 year top LOL
That whatever magical power it stores up will take centuries for it to actually detonate
gert of llevigar
that the thing
the fact that they never establish it
it just
in my joke wynn 2 lore I had every possible catastrophe happen at once
one of them was Llevigar going off like a nuclear bomb and making a mini-shattering in western Gavel
it just another example why writing during gavel time just
so fucking bad
quartz lore is so confusing and contradicting to one another
case example
I wish we ended up getting the Quartz mine raid
Could’ve expanded a bit more on it
you detonate a quartz
on quartz floor
do you see the problem
that shit is like "blow up this gunpowder" While the floor is made of gunpowder
i mean it could be more stable depending on the type?
Something like how Fertilizer is explosive
but the air around us ISN'T explosive
I love when my house is made out of brick-shaped grenades plastered and sealed with C4
despite it being composed of the same stuff
Maybe it’s whether the quartz is purified or not?
Like shitty gunpowder doesn’t explode well
I guess it COULD be a quality thing but like that's never shown
decide to fuckin build his lab out of quartz
like there gotta be something in the fucking water man
there definitely something in the water
its quartz
quartz is in the water
geniunely brain rotting
whateven worse is that
in actuality though
we establish that everything in wynncraft is magical in some degree
if you go to Lake Gylia, there IS something canonically in the water lol
fing meteor radiation particles
IMPLY THAT
Quartz being largely misunderstood isn't necessarily a bad thing
Even underground, quartz should have absorb all earth elements and shit to beign with 😭
Even if it’s just a bomb
We have a lot of tech irl that doesn't reallly make sense once you really think about it
Like again
yes it's bad thing because what we understood is contradicting and ridiculous
Fertilizer
Fertilizer is a highly explosive agent that can blow up if ignited the wrongw ay
it just your lack of knowledge o nit
but quartz lore is just
contradicting in everyway
but its also composed of stuff that's usually inert and requires other kinds of tech to actually get it in a state we want it
man youre really pent up about quartz
yes
But fair enough
because I write
But that’s just because of its composition, nitrogen is just dangerous in general
Eh, so long as its in the air and bonded correctly its MOSTLY fine lol
mostly
I do like ur art
Most of the time
which i scrap
because I fucking hate it
I have to restart from the ground up by trying to understand wynncraft magic system
the problem is
understanding wynncraft magic system make quartz make even less sense
Maybe make the quartz either related to meteors or ROL for its magical potential?
no because I am like
it's fine
it's fine for its to be natural part of the world
ROL looks like it has a lot of quartz
no it just happe nto sue quartz block
because quartz block is white
not everything has to link to ROL
directly
quartz can just be natural mineral/element in the world
i mean honestly it could just be from the old dudes of ahms
I think the best explanation then would be the processed/refined quartz can store magic
something like a left-over remnant
Wait also Trashie
yeah?
yeah
HOLY SHIT YOURE A GOAT
DUDE IVE BEEN LOOKING FOR PEOPLE TO DO WYNNCRAFT FANART FOR A LONG TIME
YOURE TE ONLY ONE I CAN FIND
PEAKKK
Okay i gotta do work but like-
Gods youre really cool :D
yeah I unfortunately have unhealthy obessession
with wynncraft
out of all things
I also make magic system
like I write entire magic system two time
I probably gonna write third soon
and write summary of wynncraft lore
like
shit tough sometime becuase most of these is just me tryign to make sense of wynncraft world
I probably have to write about wynncraft material to also explain quartz and introduce new concept
Is there a place where we can view all the art and wartorm project as a collection?
sliver being important metal in wynn province would be cool
oh yeah on my tumblr
I got a tag called wartorn project
most of my stuff are there
Dope
oh yeah
that could maybe be a good reason for continuing to hold Tromsi Jungle?
it would have silver in it
also just generally reason to why wynn province can hold off fire casting skeleton lmao
like my homebrew is that
sliver is a material able to repel magic
so basically to understand it
you also need to understand my take on how wynncraft magic work
so essentially wynncraft magic mainly elemental magic are invisible force that control their respective element
so a fire ball
is just concenetratin of fire magic that control the fire into a ball shape
so if this fireball hit sliver, the sliver will get hit by fire but the magic would dissipate
it not 100% anti magic but it definitely negate it to some extend
orrr they just do the boring thing and make it somehow harm the corruption more than normal material by being a "purer" material than what can normally be obtained or something
yeah that boring so I dont do that
A Thing of Purity
I just make sliver like
a parry button
so it not like
you are not going to wear fucking sliver armor into battle like
that would be pointless
like sure fireball would dissipate from you upon contact
but you will get burnt
so get sliver sword and parry the fireball
oh yeah
offtopic but
your archetype characters do any of them have canon deaths/other ends?
Raphosa planned to fucking die in Patriot storyline that i have
Fallen dying kinda
his entire thing
but yeah other than raphosa
I kidna dont have any plan for other archetype to die
unless we talking about Forgery AU
but forgery AU pretty much just everyone fucking die AU
idk my fallen headcanon was they he was feral, hero chose him and made him lucent again, he manages to get through whatever Fruma throws at him and Hero finally leaves him, and he scrapes together what little he has left mentally to charge into the corruption portal and start doomslayer'n it for all eternity, creating a long term stop that greatly slows the rate at which things emerge from the portal
I see
that cool take on the fallen
that definitely could work as doom guy type shit
but for me I kinda really want to make a point that
corruption is not some power booster for your OC
not you specifically
but like I see my OC as art piece that tackle different concept and idea
and expand them
so Fallen specifically is a showcase how corruption, well corrupt people
A once noble knight that literally kind hearted and want nothing more to protect his people
now corrupted into a feral monster that only wear husk of an armor and continue to terrorize the kingdom he once swore an oath to
Corruption dont just make people angry, they make mockery of what they were
all their positive turn into negative
what once was courage and strong will now turn into an undying and unrelenting aggression
what once was masterful swordmanship now turn into a brutal combat that slaughter anyone the husk come across
Corruption just suck overall for those who got corrupted and those who see loved one got corrupted
because what was reanimated is simply a husk of them that not only amplify their flaws but also turn their positive into weapon against the people
that why my take of corruption have indivudal with strong will have higher chance to become a "warlord"
I had it so that the influence would get worse with time, but Hero halted it temporarily and let Fallen be a hero despite his condition even if it was fleeting
and then when his time came, he intentionally directed his destructive instincts in the right direction so that even after having faded he still protects
same idea has Fallens be an order of corruption-afflicted soldiers sent on suicide missions so that they can have one last hoorah before they fall too far, fighting with brutality and reckless abandon
and this Fallen is the only one to have ever somehow walked away from that alive and not totally have lost it yet
I see
yeah that definitely cool take on fallen archetype
I do think other people take fallen as like this
struggle to find to keep their self intact to be intresting
I often suggest those people to explore how people in wynn shun corruption
and how their OC would itneract with the world around them now the taint of corruption is on them
I often have go through many iteration with how corruption work to allow such thing to exist
becuase whole point of my wartorn project is not only to expand and give clear info how certain work
but als oallow OC creation to exist
it basically a guideline
I always see wartorn project as a guideline and not rule set,
breaking the norm definitely a good way to create a unique character
tbh that remind me
I recommend #your_work
Trashie is good but there's a more wynncraft fan art to see
one of my archetype rework idea is to turn Falle into archetypethat need to manage their corruption in check
and only unleash it in the right time
as oppose to "fuck it we ball"
only issue with that is that Fallen is meant to be uber-aggressive
the corruption increases aggression and the archetype is meant to reflect that, and run with it by expanding it into its current high risk high reward playstyle
yeah it is
that why I said Archetype rework
by rework I mean remake EVERYTHING from the ground up
including thematic and gameplay
it just my take on archetype
never meant to replace the current archetype system
cool cool
random thing also that i just noticed
But probably other people already noticed
There are butterflies inside the road to dern
yeppp
I think there are thematic overlap with Fruma and Dern
oh okay
so likely they associate with one and another
also Fruma queen just like
have eyes motif all over her so like
"guess this animal"
No no like
like girl please
how moths have eye-like structures on their wings
you are not hiding it
oh thats a good point
Though honest question
One is dark, like dern beast
but the other is orange, like ophiron
I wonder whos influencing who
my guess is that
since how much number 2 ahs been empahsis in Fruma marketting
and number 2 is known for being number of duality
it likely that Fruma expansion
will introduce us to the concept of Dark and LIght harmonize together
okay if you going to excuse my insane rambling
So basically... an alternate version of Realm of War
because like this going to be mad talk
yeah?
return of twilight lol
totally will happen
okay so baiscally
BASICALLY
with how we know Dark and Light capable of giving life
basically shifting reality into their own image and rules
and how their byproduct also capable of reanimation thus giving life but not quite
I have a theory
that counterpart of corruption
this counterpart that exist from dark and light harmonize each other
is existence itself
Consider what we see about corruption
is that it hate existence
it filled with hatred
maybe this hatred come from the fact that corruption in itself is a failed, flawed force
that hate existence itself because it's something that it will never be
wait let me get ss of my rambling
essentially maybe Fruman queen trying to play god and working with Dern Beast in order to meddle with force that link to the existence itself
Think she's failing or succeeding?
we know that colossi has some link to Light and Dark because they gone haywire at the moment of the portal open
we dont know that for sure
but consider Soosu golem
espically the dirt one
kinda closely resemble of TCC in a way that the yare created from natural materials
yet capable of movement
Oh that's a good point
maybe they succeed in some degree
maybe they fail in others
there's always a price to pay when it comes to working with either of the beasts honestly
Lari knows first hand
I THINK MY MOST SUSPICIOUS DETIAL ABOUT THE TRAILER IS LIKE
THIS THING
This thing in wartorn palace
spilling out its guts?
because it's eerily similar to devils
reddish color and horn
liek this thing obvious not human
and yeah
it spilling its guts out
I wonder what it's spitting out
y'know
it would be huge if some of the enemies were skinless devils in armor
Fruma might did find a way to weaponize corruption
I would not say half o the palace is corrupted
but maybe they manage to weaponize corruption in someway
the weird part is we didn't see any corruption spikes
and unleash it onto the player as last resort
I can imagine like
fruma capture devils from wynn
transport htem to fruma somehow
and maybe experiment on them
that likely case
cause I dont think devils themselves need spike for survival
skin them alive and fuse them with metal Urelix style
yeah probably, cuz i think we know corruption isnt in fruma naturally right
lowkey why has no one tried it
that we know of its in wynn
and corruption is not something you can easily meddle with
so likely just Fruma experiment in corruption
i Mean
they have inquistor everywhere in the world
or maybe they try to experiemnt with light and dark
accidentally created a devil
experiment them up and lock them away
Fruma queen definitely playing god
now that i think about it
is there anywhere else that there is undead?
aside from dead island which is itself
do you count the oudated area?
really weird
I still like to think tat dark and light might have something to do with existence itself
cause god IDK corrutpion hating existence
it weird how like
dark and light able to transform lifes to work in their own rule and way
while corruption straight up just kill it
it almost like corruption just failed creation of something
the creatures that it "created" are barely consider as alive
flesh melting of their skin and tearing each other apart
Corruption does the same thing though but in a more unstable way
,like heck consider how hulk die around nesaak
I would not even wonder that their metabolism is only thing that keep them moving that long
no they only reanimate
never bring life
reanimation is not giving life
it more like puppeteering
objects that it reaimate barely even consider alive
it not like panic zealot
where it gain its own soul? or becoming its own creature
It changes life to be like it
I'm not saying it creates but it doesn't only affect the dead
whta you mean
Corrupted village
ehhhh the thing is that
what we reemmber form what Orikal said
tbh that also oudated quest but I rather not use that as a crunch
so how I see it that
Corruption spike simply influence people when they are alive
this influence often result in aggresion and paranoid
which them keep incrasing as long as the indivudal stay in proximity of corruption
and hence you can see once you complete the quest
the effect of corruption cease, the people are back to normal
implying that the effect is reverstible
HOWEVER
I think the point where one could consider "corrupted"
would be after reanimation process
it likely these paranoid and aggression that corruption influenced people to be
is a method to get people to fight each other or make mistake that result in the end of their life
thus starting reanimation process
there is notably one person who is corrupted who doesnt seem to have fully died though althoguh theres something more going on with bak'al so not a great example
Bak'al and Theorick are different due to their circumstance compare to everyone else
both of these went into portal
and come back
they seemingly do not die
but turn insane by what beyond the portal and seems to shown to have effect similar to being expose to the spike but it almost like
it stuck with them constantly no matter what
by them I meant theorick
cause that the only one we see in full detail
I THINK in theory
if THeorick did not freeze himself back then
he probably becoming like Bak'al
I think Bak'al would be special case
where he never undergo reanimation process
because he stil alive
IDK it just
little info we have
bak'al is a special cause also because it seems like he is working for dern beast as well
but what is there hint for somethign special if you do go into portal
it probaly is
but like
theorick do get into portal and display similar sympton in a way?
maybe Bak'al able to overcome his voice?
unliek Theorick
or maybe he did not and that why he is massive asshole
who know
it would totally make sense tho that Bak'al is a fucking asshole because of constant voice inside his head
but I like my guy to be geniune asshole
Bak'al when he see defenseless farmer who has family of 4
Bak'al defintiely showing up in Fruma expansion
yeah its specifically a continuation of RoL and SE storylines
if the player character wasnt a blank slate I would wonder if AHC was relevant
Bak'al is cool
fruma lore dump: we're going back in time to the first thanksgiving, to get turkeys OFF the menu.
Is there any stuff online that goes over the story of wynncraft so far? I am playing a new character rn, and having voices of wynn on helps me follow the story, but I will probably get lost at some point. Want to be able to go through Fruma all caught up
I writing lore summary rn
But like that gonna take a while
Gonna work on making a the lore so far stream eventually
Okay haha, no worries. I just did the ability reset quest, and remembered that Fruma like erases peoples memory and stuff and sends them to Wynn... but thats about all the lore I got
I am gonna keep going with voices of wynn, and paying attention to main story quests, hopefully that gets me enough to appreciate the story of Fruma
As someone who cant remember things that arent audio, VoW helps a lot
As someone who's hearing impaired and reads really fast anyways, I never really felt the need for VoW
to each their own
its really only the main story quests that are gonna relate back to fruma, however what is a main story quests vs sidequest isnt always obvious
Although DaD and breaking point are not related to it
VoW is just nice because voice acting being mostly decent works
facts 🙏
I'm one of the main writers for VoW
VoW plus new dialouge will prolly be peak
Fr
especially since the images will give some pointers as well
"how does the character say this?" just look at the picture and see their expression!
Yep
That’s right: we’re going back in time to the first thanksgiving to get TURKEYS. OFF. The MENU.
wtf is getting put in place of turkeys
Pizza.
Corrupted apples
Did you know? There is actually a huge selection of mammals to pull from for a holiday dinner. For example: Duck, Pig, Cow , Lamb, Goat, Elk, Moose, etc
Bear
Really
Bear hard to hunt, and full of difficult to kill parasites
Gun and bleach
You can’t eat those
yes really
like actually being literal
I cannot hear the sound of most birds chirping
Why does the SE have butterflies? Aren't they a Fruma specific thing
I pretty sure butterflies can exist else where
But we having butterflies definitely thematic connection
But we don’t know yet
There are butterflies all over the world since rekindled world I think fruma was just that specific golden one
it's the golden butterflies that were specific to Fruma
That does sorta raise the question of why there are dark butterflies, though
SE doesn’t exactly seem to cater to that kind of life, besides cockroaches and such
buttereyes
I see no problem with it
yo if I was interested in voicin a character for VoW where can I sign up?
There are butterfly's in NoL for example
their discord
can u dm me the link
done
You will voice: Troll. Of Troll Tower
If they let me I'd be down to voice anything
That one dogun in the ultimate SD for CotL
What's sd
Secwet Discovawy
Mmm I wanna voice a more crazy character
One of the many cooky hobbits in the ultimate weapon
Secwet :3
gregor is funny
But not chaotic
I can change my voices to like 5 or 6 different tones I wanna use my voice modulation range
showcase
So does the king of wynn know that the soldiers they are getting are mind-wiped from Fruma? Or is he just like, hell yeah free soldiers, and doesn't question it
The question whatever wynn people ever acknowledge Fruman recruits losing their memory kinda mostly unexplore in wynncraft sadly
so we dont really know if they really know or just do not really care
but from what we can guess
it likely that there some suspicious or at least mystery to why these new recruits does not seems to remember their home or their life back in Fruma
which certainly would spark some questions
So it is probably that they don't want to question it and stop losing recruits, so they just go with the flow?
but with no way of knowing, it likely these questions would slowly phase away and just left as "it is what it is" after spans of 100 years
probabl yyeah
it not like they cant do anything about it
Gotcha, that was mainly my only question after the wynn story line at the beginning
I am excited to actually pay attention to RoL this time around
is there a lore reason why we can beat the parasite's little ass in the nol raid before we've removed the darkness influence from our soul in the journey beyond questline? it kinda felt like the whole hidden darkness element was smth made up just for that moment, but I'm wondering if there's actually lore ramifications
light/dark elements are to be decanonized
AJB needs to be redone really
its because ajbs dark element thing is terrible bullshit made up solely for the quest progression and we are going to remove it
same response, different tone lol
oh lol, well that could have genuinely lead to some hype moments. imagine the aura if the dern beast sends a darkness creature on some civilization and we're the only one who can fight back
me when fallen already uses forces that are part-dark, or when shadestepper is thought to draw some power from the dark, or when LB uses so much light constantly that it realistically should've just purified itself well before that point by shear accident
it actually surprised me a while back to learn archetypes also weren't canon
I was genuinely looking forward to the corrupted explanation
i want to make all ability stuff canon in some way
making the archetypes not canon is a little crazy to me
they affect so much of the game
this
its difficult though when the lore team has little contact with the AT
I thought we were past the wynn era of just making stuff up on the spot
a lot of them have lore tie-ins already too
the problem is now having to reason how stuff like fallen even is possible right xd
AJB was what, 6 years ago now?
in my ideal wynncraft, every gameplay mechanic - spells, abilities, potions - everything, is tied to lore in some way and has a diegetic existence
either the lore gets a rewrite (expansion?) or the archetypes get their names changed
i have some ideas for some stuff already just need to put it ingame
this should be the way
stronger will = more powerful corrupted apparently
so having shear will in theory doesn't even work
next best thing I can think of is HK Colosseum of Fools style where fighters take a little bit of it in willingly like a stimulant
and just have high moderation
Well people do know, the Lievgar archivist mentions how it’s common for Fruma recruits to look for info on it
I’m sure at least the leaders of Ragni have noticed and choose to not acknowledge it
oh the stronger will thing is something canon?
last I checked it is
hmm with fallen the problem is that you can just kinda uncorrupt yourself
stuff changes though and it def feels like older lore
maybe if it was darkness instead of corruption?
idk my headcanon was that the Fallen was an order that recruited soldiers who were just beginning to fall to the corruption, and send them on suicide missions as a last hoorah
anything past that whatever usually
that sounds cool but I feel like the healing is a big part of fallen
so these soldiers are able to come back from the brink of death on a whim
the way i view classes is like. each of them is a different like, Art. a different way of wielding magic to cast spells. and beneath each art are various niches and techniques, of which only 3 are available to the player, but theres a lot more possibility out there on top of those
Bob learned 4 different arts
this is the impression I feel like we all get
slykaar for example was a shaman, and as explained in his quest, shamans use life force for magic
this is perfectly represented in the actual shaman class, specially with acolyte
so I just think it's crazy none of this stuff is canon as of rn
the archetypes themselves would have to go into more specific lore. some are fine but then there are ones like Fallen which demand an explanation
i kind of wish salted just went for his original idea with fallen where its called berserker and the rage state is triggered by getting drunk (as shown on the Making of the Ability Tree thread from a couple years back) but i guess the aesthetics of corruption were just cooler
don't get me wrong, fallen using literal corruption as a weapon is the edgiest coolest thing ever I wouldn't want it any other way
it's just... cool
so in a way I'm glad it's not bound by logistics and lore
but on the other hand it sucks that we don't have any explanation for it, so I'm conflicted
i guess if i were to try explaining fallen it would be like.. the rage state is more a corruption of your mind than of your body. think of what happened to the corrupted villagers, or the player turning against their allies in the nether pvp mode back in the day. its not so much a physical corruption but you are using chaos magic to inflict that on your mind. and you also use chaos magic to assist with other spells. its like youre wielding a controlled form of corruption
dont take that as canon thats just my idea
I think I see the vision
another example of corruption of the mind is when theorick speaks in red bold text after entering the portal
though he is physically corrupted there too
in my head with fallen you don't get any more "corrupted" than what you were at the start. the meter going up just means your bloodlust is increasing, you're losing focus and your mind slipping, but at the same time that rage fuels your strength
it brings out the worst in you pretty much
what about the corrupted village?
I haven't done that in a while
I believe the villagers were uncorrupted, but the presence of the corruption nearby made them more aggressive
they were not physically corrupted but the force of corruption basically acted on their minds and made them aggressive yeah
skiens island might be another example of this kind of non physical and more mentally acting corruption
My idea for fallen is that corruption has a hold of you and is trying to infect you. The fallen character is in a state of constant fighting with said corruption, and Bakal's Grasp is the character letting the corruption take hold just a little bit more than usual. But they cannot let it fully take hold of them lest they become fully corrupted
I think what the most confusing part of corrupted village
is that the villagers seemingly just not aware of the spike
I though by like
the year 1000 AP people would at least know what the spike does consider Root of Corruption has many of them
feel like some connection should be there already
explain what happens at 100% corrupted then
Uh probably then you ded and zombie
I'd say that 100% would be that the fallen is at the brink of the event horizon in that case, reaching their limit mentally I mean. But this is not meant to be 100% imperically correct, it's jsut a headcanon
I want to send something so bad here but I probably cant
the lore team watching the AT team make the archetypes
so.
Bob is a part of the Twain house?
no?
by the time he arrive
the group already disband LOL
the group literally disband before he even born
yeah ofc that like their last name
but group as a whole is disband and pretty mcuh long dead
ye
their house is pretty muc habanoned
soit literally like no Bob is never part of the twain
ye
i wish we could hug Mael
we could bring treats to Mael's
general location
Do you think Mael was always good at archery
Or was it just something he picked up after the others left
We don’t know
Because he didn’t have a bow or anything from what we’ve seen in Twain content outside of the library, so did all the Twains have a secondary weapon of some sort?
Theorick had a staff at least, maybe the others had a spear or dagger
I don’t think mage are limited to wand in the universe
Theorick was really calling Mael useless when he was apparently the best archer of all time
I mean Mael entire thing is that he commune with the dead
Which is a skill that Theorick personally see useless because in comparison of his power over ice
And otjer sibling power over elements
Mael communicating with the dead probably view as useless during the time
Even if he can do archery
The Twain are probably well known for their magic
Do Theorick likely only judge Mael for his proficient magic
theorick both saw it as useless but achknowledged making his job harder was a bad idea
Anyone have a detailed description of the Corkian Electromagic?
Hey guys, im curious, what quests are relevant to the lore & really worth reading again if on a 2nd playthrough, if y'all happen to have a list
General answer is all the dark green quests
Detailed? Not me, but I can give a general rundown if that helps.
From what we know Corkian electromagic is not unique to them, but they have a specific affinity for it, likely as they hail from the industrial district in fruma. It is also just a subset of general magic, this being themed around the thunder element. This also means it's isn't impossible for them to use other magics, but they don't come as naturally.
Electromagic is how they have managed to create, and power their robots and machines. We know it is used in creation, and to keep them going.
(If I got anything wrong, feel free to correct me!)
Thanks!
Is Aledar meant to be as strong or relative to Tasim in the trailer? Cuz im ngl Aledar looked pathetic in the AJB quests
Guys what if tasim knows aledars dead cuz of the bartender in detlas
AJB needs a rewrite fr
He got dialogue if we did ajf
I mean, the two of them canonically work together to achieve all the things the player does, so they have to be at least close by AJB
AJB just felt like I was carrying 3 silvers in bedwars im ngl
Don’t they split off quite early on?
Like is the implications of AJB that player character was just lucky they weren’t targeted by the denizens of SE and that it could’ve been any of the 4 to sacrifice one person
Or is the player character actually just that much more capable than all of them
Them fighting you together in the AHC timelines implies they party up again at some point, and I think they do anyway for one or two quests
That’s my understanding. Like the whole thing with AHC was that the player IS an extreme talent, but that they could have just been unlucky and died early
Mmm fair enough. Ig it’s a bit difficult showing extreme feats when you’re limited to block game
Yeah… Twain nuked a third of Wynn somewhere in the 50-60 range 🥵
Yeah that is true, but then you can farm him in his dungeon and he just doesnt seem all that powerful pffft
But yeah suspension of disbelief cuz videogame mechanics
One can only imagine where Orpheon, etc. scales narratively
I think Orpheon, Anni, Dernbeast, EO, and TNA are probably relative
Then below them would be Bakal, Bob, and maaaybe Lari
And player would probably be somewhere between the two
In many ways the player is similar to other characters in universe of lvl100
There is simply one distinction, which is that they seem to be too angry to die.
the player is only really bak'al level around the time they fight the eye
Kratos ahh
i think people forget lari is pretty strong when she's actually in a killing mode.
Then Tasim and the 3 others are probably what 2 steps below Bakal and lari?
yeah, but that might be lack of content
Yeah true
While the events of Beyond The Grave aren’t canon, the characters in them seem to be, if the fact that the “Death” in TOA is actively referred to as an impostor of the real deal
although tasim looking at fruma trailer could probably fight the player effectively
It could be established in fruma that Tasim is relative to player
From there we can extrapolate that the player does seemingly just… tank the cold hand of death. (Frequently, if my lootruns are anything to go by)
the player canonically does survive two near death encounters
Mm yeah player doing death defying stuff is pretty unique
(i refuse to count roads to peace)
roads to peace isn’t a near death encounter the villagers are just bigots ICANT
Lari does nearly kill the player in canon had the tree not got involved.
And the eye outright does nearly put the player at the point of death
Maybe cursed awakened tasim gives him enough boost to contend with Bakal
and i can't tell if it intentionally did that or unintentionally
Hypothetically, every “adventurer” character in the setting can, if the process of death portrayed in the mostly noncanon BTG exists in SOME fashion in the universe proper
When does the eye do that?
fantastic voyage
you take a side passage that might of got you past SE in to dern.. Eye notices that and punishes you and the other guy. And you teleport to detlas mine with like 1% of your health left
As long as their soul can reach the realm of the dead it can be reincarnated, so goes the quest…
that logic is still stupid
The only way to keep a particularly strong one down - of the Player’s strength or higher, would be to trap or bind the soul. Which is a worrying prospect, and is probably why the Gavellian government banned it.
I hope we get actual cutscenes in-game but I feel like we’ll just get lari vs parasite again
I mean the new animations look fucking sick
You mean the trailer animation with tasim?
G-d, I hope they managed to make a tenth of that ingame.
To be fair, they did, it’s the Orpheon intro.
Just… more of it.
Like the fruma enemy animations look awesome but idk, tasim’s trailer fight might just be in block bench
I should learn how to use blockbench again.
Nah the new animations for spells and shit
All the stuff that’s currently being done with particles
Oh yeah, those are sick
yeah, the new atk vfx are super cool looking
*most of it
smoke bomb still uses particles to show its reach even though the bomb part itself has a new model, for example
Tbh lore summary is still difficult Becuase si am not sure which detail to leave out or not
I probably need to shift some section around
I think with a world this broad and in depth you'd have to section by region then time
like history of Ragni or something then history of Detlas
ugh that's also gonna be pretty long though
probably storylines then
those things are too small and little information to base on their own information
yeah
i only sepeate from era base now
also entire thign ben rewrite cause I have a new direction
one thing that shocked me when replaying the game is that that one quest where you go to the realm of death was... reworked
the gameplay changed to be a quizz show
yet the lore of dying and going to some death dimension is still there
so... this stuff is canon? it's not getting a rework?
deaths are canon??
can we consider it not canon on the sense nothing contradicts it, but logically it makes no damn sense
tf you mean people can be revived by killing the thing that killed them... what??
Up to one interpretation
what if they die to a natural disaster
so nobody actually dies?
they just go to the death realm?
Simply scale above nature level and kill the concept of a natural disaster
and can be revived as many times as they want??
remove that damn death quest from the game
instead we get an old man martyn quest
turns out every time we "died" he was rewinding us back
boom fixed the lore
and old man martyn is a chad
Sure
Removing one of the top 5 funniest quests is so no bueno
Even if its lore is ""somewhat"" headache inducing
just change the text to say death was feeling lonely and personally warped us there
Anyways a summary of all wynn lore sounds kind of horrifying outside of providing a shortened timeline of some kind
What are you definitely including?
I just consider it canon in the sense that it explains the respawn mechanic
Mainly because it provides a reason the player is able to fix everyone’s problems; they are simply too [blank] to die
I like to fill in that blank with “angry” but it’s your choice
what do the lore people think the 2nd sovereign is
it seems to point to the player being them
but that would have some logistics issues after we were deported from fruma
It's definitely not the player
Like 100%
The mirror has nothing to do with them
Technically it could be hinting at it being tasim, but I think this highly unlikely.
Just because i feel it's doesn't make sense/fit story wise
Tasim being soverign would be weird because soverign as a role meant to govern
so it literally would take time to become one and even then like
and even then the hint for the second soverign just feel more dern-related
Tasim was literally living in Espren before being sent to Wynn, I doubt he was ever a sovereign.
yeah
and even if he become one at the end of the story
the way that specific soverign being promoted is just weird
because they way they said it feel like
that soverign already exist
I personally am 100% happy whether second sovereign is or isn't the player
I'm a lil iffy on how Tasim would have been the second sovereign to begin with (though him getting into the ranks is possible)
Could possibly be that the second sovereign rebelled against the queen and hence was "lost"
Either thrown or turned into the mirror, or is the player after the memory wipe
I feel like Tasim definitely set up to be brainwash and turn against hte player
that could work
but the hidden message is like
VERY DERNIC
kinda scarily so
yeah before the trailer I was thinking what if player under the queen's order has to fight a rebelling tasim
but it being the other way around based on what we know and saw makes sense
also the icon being sramble yet we can see like
ton of purple shit
it clearly not human
like even more than Gikyo
We were personally being invited and based on the website's info, prolly stayed at the castle for a bit
but consider how the leaves in the wind is in auburn
and snippet of screenshot
it could very likely that somewhere along the way we wander out of Fruma's sight
Why does the queen invite ppl just for them to roam through her land, is she stupid
and probably met with the leaves
it likely part of a larger plan but we dont know anything yet
but we know fors ure that whatever this plan is
it contribute to fixing the issue of recruit program no longer suited to fix the corruption proble min WYnn
a tournament? 😮
like anything could happen with that set up
Well the site also says you're the invader and thats how she sees u
I think that refer to our defaction from Fruma
Hunger games 🔥
We were in the queen's good graces at first, but then the leaves showed up and pick us up
Every1 focus tasim 🤯
hunger games in minecraft? a tale as old as time...
Man that takes me back
Oh hear me out
so we are fruman recrutis invite into Fruma
along with Tasim
and other new characters that we never met
with similar background where they are fruman recruits
we got put into torunament
the leaves manage to rescue us in time along with Taism while the rest die in the tournament
onward we would then start from Auburn forest
being on the run
Mmm that's what I have in mind
Oh my god, if this ends with us killing Tasim too, then we're officially the worst quest partner ever.
Going 2:0 on our fellow fruman friends would surely be something.
When's the player crashout
After the recent trailer I would'nt put it past the content team to just give us some aura farming moments.
We've been solo leveling after all.
eh i'd love for since we've just beaten the eye this is where the fights get serious and the player's not always having their badass moments
(i'm kinda sick of the player only having a couple moments where they get beaten to hell)
Tbh Aledar very much willingly sacrificed himself for us to go defeat the eye, the way you worded it sounds like the player wasn't trying to help at all.
II dont think Tasim going to die
but again depend on the narrative
but I highly dbout Tasim dying
we heavily lacking in character that we developed deep bond with and still survive
i'm gonna be honest, I don't know much about the lore post level 75, but what are the odds that the player is one of the sovereigns who intentionally had their memories wiped to infiltrate, and that's why in the recalling the past quest we had a strange blocker and the orb exploded?
i say that, because from the discussion forums, we don't really know who the 1st and 2nd sovereign are.
I would assume you mean in main quest/side quests? Yeah I believe only in All Roads to Peace, the Canary Calls, Misadventures on the Sea, and I guess Redbeard's booty??
the problem with this theory is that
you are putting soverign
your governor
Because he was dying anyway. Don't forget, ||we we're invited as the sacrifice to that quest. He even said, that we we're perfect for it since we had no relations and no loved ones.||
in a position where they literally could die and Fruma would have no way of helping them
i refuse to count the knock out quests because holy hell the player has the weakest head.
so it kinda feel like a dumb plan that only work by sheer luck LOL
even then what player even suppose to infilitrate
inquistor exist
In moments where the player does outright nearly die in a understandable way. there is two
so it kinda redundant for the player to be this infiliterator
Fantastic voyage where the eye nearly kills the player. And then Lari does nearly kill the player in that fight
Yeah it's really funny lol, we canonically have brain damage.
sso it not like we have bad record here lOL
i've killed hundred's of orc's and four nearly kill me
one player can hypothetically solo orphion if the rest die
four orcs > orphion
well, the parasite and orphion
player getting badly beaten bound to happen to allow story to happen
it is what it is
but yeah, TCC you do go in a group. Garaheth you got eaten. The eye is strong. The parasite is strong but it's honestly not that big of a threat directly?
if player can march down to centerworld fortress and kill everyone
all road to peace would not happen at all LOL
like the parasite's strong but i'd say it's weaker than a lot of fights you have
well yeah if the player were allowed to kill any npc then wynn would have much less of a story
player being in group is not canon tho
that is true, but the sovereigns seem to all be pretty strong and the 2nd seems to have a connection to spies/spying, so they may have decided it best to infiltrate themselves or have sent off the 1st to infiltrate in hopes of moving up?
no it is.
The raids it is the player with a group.. Of arguably mercenaries
you could make the argument the player's the only survivor
I feel like "you have to get other people to help you" for raid and dungeon is gameplay dialogue
rather than being in lore
it like Ragni king saying wynncraft map website
to be fair soloin orphion even in a not killing him way is a bit too far
Wasn't denying that, ||but Aledar seemed to have not wanted us to be the sacrifice (he also wasn't the one picking), but was admiring how we would be a good one.||
and getting other people into ROL and do NOL
plus the whole respec thing from recalling the past seems to be flavored as recalling "past" skills to change build, which could be explained by being a sovereign who was exceptionally skilled, and is relearning/remembering past skills as we progress.
no because then it makes it sound like the player is god level or close to it
yeah but that the thing
soverigns suppose to manage and govern
if them out in the field normally then it kinda ruin the point
of being soverign
a player soloing the orphion is a lot less realistic than the player hiring a few mercenaries to help out
unless it THAT important
and even then
memory wipe your soverign and send them into this "undercover" mission
does not sound like a smart plan???
when again
inquistors exist
that shit is like sending a general to fight couple of thieves while giving them a brain damage
Wouldn’t make much sense since every raid implies you need others of your similar power
like I said I feel like that more of gameplay dialogue
similar to Ragni king telling you wynncraft website
like at best
also fruma reports imply that all the recruits are progressing normally too so the player isn’t a notable exception from others
TCC have Ineos and Rhay back you up
Nah that’s different cmon now
ah, but if the 2nd is related to infiltration and spying, they are likely an undercover/behind the scenes type of person who people may not know the true identity of. it would be possible for them to put a mouthpiece in place who runs things for them while they're away or undercover meaning they could infiltrate while the "2nd sovereign" never left.
lari doesn’t go “you must /partyfinder and get others to help”
Are the raids genuinely cannon? How do we explain that we killed TNA like 40 Times?
Though I'd love that. Lari would be the best for a nice passive agressive fourth wall break.
I'd wanna see how the other sovereigns feel about second
But how do we explain that others join us in the Realm of Light? Aren't we supposed to be the new chosen that has the ability to enter?
maybe you just get less hostile light creatures to join. Doesn't help a lot of raid rooms require multiple people to even do
My meme answer is the player just non verbally harassing powerful people to go to the portal, but lowkey I didn’t consider recruiting non humans as well
Lari did suggest to the player to get help from others to save Orphion
Wait I reread the text, yeah that's a good question-
it's defintely not the player soloing though
At best just other light entities help us
cause IDK how it would work if it just
some random ass mercs just accept the job like
yeah sure man I will fucking fight giant stone robot
"Hey wanna fight the entity of light? We have treasure."
At best in TCC, Inoes, Rhay, and other elders help us
