then dullahan is sick for another 200 years and then he's in the castle for another 200 years lol
like bruh
i mean him being stuck there for 200 maks more sense
could be 50/50 for me
mostly just his ability to control spirits makes me sceptic on it
such a horrible person
idk why but it made me laugh
i think it's because there's all these important events and then it's just bakal killing a random farmer
no survivors means no survivors I guess
so far as we know, in the timeline this is the first appearance of Bakal. Imagine, he is created by the Corruption portal opening, does nothing for 162 years, kills one random farmer, and disappears for another 100 or so years
for 300 years I think
Destruction of Akias is his next event and it's 400 something AP I think?
347 AP
So 162 > 347
24 hrs is just unreasonable either the Corruption is especially incompetent for a zombie apocalypse or some of the towns have been besieged without food and with constant losses from fighting for >80 times the length of WW2
is there anything not in the wiki timeline thats confirmed about the lore other than from the fruma arg
I don’t think so
Question that I never quite understood:
If Darkness’s pure influence creates abstract chaos as seen in the Silent Expanse, then why does the Darkness in Gavel simply just… decay the Forest of Light?
Is it because the Parasite is simply killing the light through Orphion? Or is the Parasite the source of Decay, while the Parasite itself is born of Darkness?
the decay is not darkness, rather, the absence of light
-# which in real life is darkness but that logic doesnt apply here
Gotcha
so the Envoys that showed up in Detlas
they are the first official contact from Fruma since that one time Ragni got sent a diplomat or something right?
is fruma under the impression Wynn has a single ruler like Fruma does? Are they aware of the pretty decentralized nature that is Wynn?
i mean yeah of course they are just a weird thing to say in Detlas, one of the few places in Wynn without a monarchy
probably referring to the Ragni King
they are most likely well-aware of Wynn's political situation
still, Detlas is THE trading city, in a central location, and gets the most traffic out of any town or city in Wynn
so Detlas still makes the most sense for this kind of message
why is there an extra "that" in this
"that" specifying the logic of "here" instead of just referring to logic in general
with "here" being the Wynncraft universe
I like to think that light and dark are more like substances
fill a place with light or dark
drain the light and it doesnt leave dark but instead a vacuum influence like the void I guess
although this still leaves room for dark creatures to invade despite not being warped by darkness
Wynncraft has it's own logic at times
so I think it is still correct
new npc in detlas
Oh sick
When did they show up?
tommorow
when the announcement was made about the trailer I think. only in newer servers, there wasn't a full reset
what a slacker
wait a minute. does detlas have a mayor? something else?
now that you mention it maybe?
ragni: king
alekin: mayor
detlas: ❓
nemract: ❓
tempo town: mayor
selchar: ❓
elkurn: ❓
almuj: mayor
rymek: mayor
nesaak: mayor
troms: king
llevigar: ❓
olux: mayor
gelibord: ❓
lexdale: mayor
cinfras: unspecified democracy
aldorei: six gerontocratic elders
thanos: king
the hive: mistress
thesead: mayor
eltom: mayor
corkus city: democratic council
avos york city: chief
rodoroc: king
maex: chieftain
kandon-beda: general
ahmsord: ❓
lutho: delusions
fruma: queen
detlas = Admiral Aegis ?
that… would make sense
admiral is
Admiral is
i wasnt able to find actual confirmation that the military/barracks manage detlas (not that i looked very hard)
but aegis makes the most sense
since its a trade city , its a council of Aegis, aledar and tasim
fruma envoys arrived in detlas this morning, mentioning that they were here to speak with our king
probably the king of ragni
but then people wondered who was the leader of detlas, since those people… are in detlas, and not ragni
"those people"
fr*mans
wynncraft racism lore
Honestly
I just gonna throw my own thought into the ring
and saying that
since Fruma is literally a tyrant ciivlization
that also isolationist
it likely that simply only recongize as Ragni king being king of Wynn or "your king" because they only consider him in the equation
and other cities that use different govern system is not under their consideration
so in their perspective, Ragni king ruled Wynn province
Is it possible that the king of Ragni is also ruler of Detlas? Historically a king would have had lords who ruled their own lands but who swore fealty to the king.
yep, someone had the same idea
That is also a very logical point
Ragni king only refer as king of Ragni
not Detlas or WYnn
just RAGNI
i like this narrative better
becuase it give Fruma more condensing tone toward Wynn
so it clear that Fruma is not really an allies to Wynn
more of using Wynn as a tool or meat shield against corruption
So, the king of Ragni does not have authority over the other cities, but he and the other cities do have a very strong alliance against the corruption, obviously.
That is a very good read, honestly.
Makes sense that that's where they banish their "problem people"
🇦🇺
TBH consider how wynn is
I would even say king only being figure head
while millitary leaders make important decision
consider how we later learn that Troms do have general with general Eveni
it likely Ragni also have the same
there is something about the creation of the silent expanse that i don't understand
in the secret of aldorei, we're told that the portal to the realm of war and the portal to dern opened as a chain reaction to the opening of the portal to the realm of light
but at least 800 years before that, the area that is now the silent expanse was corrupted by darkness because of creatures that came out of the portal of dern
how was dern's portal open before the opening of the light realm's gate?
if it had happened at the same time, it would have made sense. but the crystals that were found by miners after the olm hid them there were found 800BP
good uqestion
dont know
also the crystal thing is a filler
it just there for the sake of being there
Plothole in the wynncraft story?! 🙀
doesn't matter. it's still part of the story
yeah extactly I cant really tell you its purpose when the people who put it there does not really has purpose to it
it just product of its time
it's not necessarily about the crystals though, it's about dern
the nDIK lmao they dont really explain this part of the lore
i think they should fix this tbh, if they changed the "800BP" to "0AP" it would be fine
yeah I think a CT did mention the date to be a bit of a bonker
it is what it is
even being relatively recent expansion
writing quality during SE time still
a lot to be desire
CT? bonker?
No way right
english is not my first language so i am not always up to date with slang like "bonker", which could mean a variety of things. i've also only been playing wynn for a little while and don't know all of the developers. you come across as hostile
CT as in Content Team
bonker as in like
it pretty odd
Wynncraft timeline is not really the best
that why I try to omit it in my lore summary that still in the work rn
Bonker’s Bad Fur Day
but yeah, i think if the invasion of the silent expanse is changed to 0AP and the discovery of the crystals in wynn to a little further into the future, the plothole would resolve itself
The Time Valley SD has one of the Olm come back to life for a second to mention how they’ve ruined this part of the world, and they’ve got no choice but to go to “The Expanse”. Something about this wording is making me think that, like Gavel and Light, SE was influenced by Darkness before the portal opened.
Yeah
So it like
Idk man maybe we will get more info about it
But of rn it just a weird thing in the story thst we don’t know about
But consider the Light Forest exist before the portal
It likely that the other realm always have access to the plane of physicality before the portal opening
My theory is that
Before the openning
There is not really a way for Dern and light to access one and another unless they face head on each other which result in realm of war
So they can’t really extactly reach one and another
However
They able to access to the plane of physicality at anytime
And spread their influence there
And what happen when the portal open is that
It prettr much force the gate of each realm to open
Which then allow either side to use the plane of physicality as proxy to directly entire their opposing realm
So the Equinox must happen in order for Dern to use plane of physicality as proxy to enter Light
So the portal openning is not necessary an event where both plane of physicality and influence can interact with one and another
It more of an event that force all the realm to open up even without the will of respective beast
Hence why realm of war was open up and let corruption out
Because it was force open by the event of Equinox
So maybe whatever happen before portal was Dern doing the prep work
To ensure the Equinox would benefit it the most
This seemed to be what AS part 2 was alluding to, but this raises the question on the Olm’s connection to Dern, and how much of the Olmic city was there, and how much of SE was like what we know it now as
that seems to be canon, but it doesn't line up with the opening of the light portal and the war portal
oh wait hold on, i misread
that could be the case, considering the light forest and orphion's connection to the elves existed before the portal was forced open... but then what is that thing about olm being taken into the realm of dern about?
Porbably play a part in Dern beast plan in the war
I have a theory is that whenever Dern beast did with the olms it capture
TNA likely the result of that
TNA has many evidence suggest it might has olmic origin
And what TNA did as it indirectly helping Dern through relocating the portal with its ability
It likely that TNA is the prep work in order for Dern beast to gain an advantage in the early by simply make its portal entrance harder to access compared to to the Light
i feel like both readings could work here if the actual invasion of dernites proper happened at AP0
but the olm did know of the dern beast before, since they also knew about the light
Hashing entire invasion of Dern happening at 0 AP mean a lot of stuff need to be shift and push to thst time
it's possible that they originated from wynn and spread out from time valley prior to the subjugation of SE, but that the expanse itself wasn't exactly a location the olm felt comfortable with, so very few moved there before the messing with the runes made time valley be so awful to live in
after that, they moved to the SE some time before the opening of the portal, and THEN dern invaded
the eye being placed at EO happened centuries AP
I don’t remember when the eye placed by Bak’al actually
the only thing that would need to change is the discovery by humans, but the date for that is only mentioned in one secret discovery, and it's not the one in wynn
Ehh I feel like moving the timeline to 0 AP would
Also result in the need of shifting thing
Like more than one would expected
i'm not so sure... because i did go through all olm/SE related secrets and cutscenes
Also it would kinda imply
The ancient city was build during the time human settle in the jungle
If the olms did takebbin 0AP
things like the time valley settlement and olmic settlement elsewhere will remain the same!
What about ancient city
it's just that the total ruination of the SE would happen at 0AP
they didn't give an exact time as to when the ancient city was built, right? it was only after the invasion by dern
Yeah but the fact that you said after invasion by Dern
Imply that the ancient city likely build after 0 AP
Which then mean the olms exist alongside Troms kingdom in Dernel Jungle
Along with the iboju tribes
but olms did live alongside humans after AP, no? bob's mom is olmic
Yeah but those are individual
Not a whole ass civilization
Bob’s mom supposed to a reman inning survivor
And the fact she is not utterly insane imply she is not part of the batch that was taken by Dern
there were a few remnants of the olmic civilisation in the jungle, not all of them
But the ancient city imply that it was made by those who survive Dern
So like
Does that mean there entire olmic civilization exist alongside Troms somehow and this is never mentioned?
At least individually, the olms can be pass off as odd human
But an entire civilization of them building a grand city?
And this never exist in any record?
troms existed before AP too
meaning that in either scenario, tromsians were living alongside the olm anyway
i don't, because there isn't one
Well that admirable outlook at least
the part where the few olm lived was very densely forested and dangerous to traverse and the olm were paranoid. the tromsians in the early days AP might have known, but considering all those olmic people perished, tromsians by 1000AP wouldn't have known anything
there's also the fact that tromsian local government is a tad corrupt considering they are in cahoots with wynnex. it is not farfetched to say that any records of the olm existing may have been sealed away from the public
I was wondering since a few years, what is this thing near Ternaves? There's even an exit in the garden but I couldn't find an entrance. A remnant of the past?
Just something the builder built and probably has no time to expand on
Little info we known about that place
That pretty much it
Ic
why is skiaens castle a dungeon?
unimplemented idea
Skien and the outfated lore
should have content eventully..
yeah
clock dungeon needs to return... Its delayed past fruma it seems...
OH COME ON!!!1
I don’t think we need any new dungeon
Unless we remove forgery
Like ofc we need fruma to habe dungeon but
clock dungeon is a removed dungeon that was promised to return in 1.20
I still want it back...
It was a quasi secret dungeon.
do you have the clock set?
clock mystery was finding 8 clocks then you had to clear a quasi dungeon with several bosses to get a unique set
Tbh gavel would be cool if it also has dungoen
Therr untapped potential Therr
But understandable to why forgery was more in favor
If only gavel release by region and not at once
has 2... Mortal mountain that became tcc and the clock mystery
yeah there's just a giant 30 lvl gap between original dungeons
yeah... clock mystery would fit well
Imagine rogue orc dungeon to expand the orc
Inagime naga dungeon
Skyraider dungeon
There such so many thing I can think of
yeah..
I even have a rough concept of additional dungeon quest
One of them being you work with an orc to take down a rogue orc that been causing chaos for both side of tbe war
And you would learn more about the orc culture which introduction of rotten tusk
you don't have to like it or agree with me, but i fail to see an issue with placing one specific event near 0AP. a thousand years is a long time, and it is entirely possible for the olm to have gone extinct in that time even before the iboju village existed (early 800s) and the sodeta guild took up residence in dernel (between 879 and 925AP)
fairly sure clock dungeon is level 70-75 lore wise..
so would fit between FF and GG
the iboju warrior in "lost in the jungle" says that their best warriors couldn't get far into the dernel jungle, making it very easy for a small group of people to hide there
well post fruma expect more dungeon and raids I think without new regions...
Quest reworks etc.
Oh yeah that quest sure exist
Tbh I thinking about rework my take on forgery
I don’t really like corrupted dungeon stuff like
Concept wise it fine it just
same
Well I was told my ideas for dungeons dont fit...
Since what they want is dungeons to be short content..
shorter solo raids is what they said.
For my dungeon rework idea, I just have corrupted dungeon as a harder dungeon option with forgery as its own thing
same...
A harder option you can accese at the entrence...
Tbh I just prefer more with recontextualizing the native as olm descendent
But oh well it is what it is
Working on this lore summary
Hoenstly I don’t think I will mention TNA and stuff
Can’t even figure out where I put corkus but I will decide somehow
i think we are generally on the same wavelength regarding the sequence of events
that would actually be pretty fascinating tbh
I have many idea to rework parts of wynncraft lore
god i hate this discovery
olm being in 0 ap would be incredibly messy
we do have explanations internally for some of the portal funkiness
i'd love to know tbh, because this is going to bother me forever
fuma
i actually genuinely don't see the issue. like i said, time valley and the other olm stuff would still be BP, only the dernic invasion and the subsequent migration to the dernel jungle would happen in 0AP
still messy. it adds a strange gap to the olm timeline if you have it go that way
how so? what am i missing?
I think it should be a dungeon
it's super neglected in content so far
and most of content on it is level 75 anyways
(Reincanation, ???)
why not bring the entire thing up to level 75
and add a dungeon quest and dungeon centering on the Selchar Navy wanting you to help with a FoN operation against Skien's Island
that way if you ignore one specific very hated dungeon
and move Clock Dungeon up 10 levels
you have a dungeon every 10 levels
is there any one place that has like a full breakdown of the lore n stuff
for someone who is completely out of the loop
There are videos online but they can be outdated and incorrect
Honestly just go to the wiki and click all the links of stuff you don’t know
Like read and article and then read all the linked articles or something
Can I use the jungle natives descended from the olm thing in a fic I'm writing? Not beat for beat what you're doing, lore just lines up way cooler if they're olm descendant
actually, thinking about it, a slightly different approach would be to change the wording in "the final moments" secret discovery to make it more ambiguous. "Shortly after the portal broke into this hidden land" implies that the portal opened (without also causing the light and war realm portals to open up as the inverse does), when it would make more sense to portray it like passive influence ala the light forest. "Forcing the Olm to his domain" also suggests that the portal was open, unless it is not literal and instead meant to suggest that the SE started resembling the realm of dern
that way you keep everything before 0AP without having to change much of the in game content, and without creating that big a discrepancy
the portal didn't open at that time, but dernic influence started to gradually alter the silent expanse, only increasing more after actually opening proper in 0AP
It not really my original idea
It was inspired by someone else
ah so bob's mom isn't the only one
Got it got it
It difficult to say due to lack of info but it being before portal oepnning could be important to the event
It hard to judge rn if it’s really good idea to drastically change the timeline like that
But sure if that is your way of interpret the event
There being huge gaps in the olm’s lore feels fitting, tbh. I would expect there to be much more, actually, considering their mess in time valley, and the fact they were under the eye/dern’s control for so long. What time would they have to record anything, or save any of it, if all they were trying to do was not die—or escape.
yeah
it also just
add to the feel of ancient civilization
like this bygone civilization that literally like
Like, the biggest periods of historical loss were always times under the heaviest of scrutiny, usually related to oppressive tyrants, religious zealotry, or decadence (Ottomans are a really good example, and fairly recent, if compared to Wynn)
just gone
It’s the fact the Olm are practically entirely wiped out, and all that’s left of them are puppeteer’d corpses/husks is really impactful, and offers far more narrative cohesion—and dread—to their inclusion. It would also give a lot of potential to Garoth, as he seems to be one of, if not the only, lucid Olm left. He remains the sole book keeper of their race, and purposefully locked himself away from the war, and subsequent annihilation of his people. It would explain his incessant desire to maintain the sanctum, no matter how much damage it would cause others around him
This is beside the point, but the backstory of the Olm seems super fitting to another ??? style quest
garoth....
my bad garoth. i wish i had time to give you the story content you deserve
For what it’s worth, the very notion of him being obsessed with the sanctum, it being suspended in time, and the fact that the Olm are extinct adds a lot to the potential understanding for his reasoning. I hope to see his sympathetic villain side come out in the dungeon, or the quest, more, and show just how desperate he is to keep the last bit of his home intact.
a big part of garoth's whole deal which isnt represented in game is... regretting not leaving with the rest of the olm. at least then, even if he'd have died, he wouldn't have been alone. he's trapped himself in a bubble from which he can never truly escape
He’s a truly tragic character, and thinking about him even for a moment gives me such a heavy pit in my chest
i gotta mention garoths whole thing being brought up like this reminds a lot of porky from mother
i wonder if that had any influence on his character development
not at all. ive never played any of the mother games
My great grandmother used to tell my mother, and subsequently me, stories of how she ran away from home, furious with her mother and father for arranging a marriage with her, only to have essentially escaped just in time, before N-azi occupation overran her village and sent every one of her family members to different camps.
She tried to come back home, after being abused for so long, only to see a destroyed home, and only parts of a story to reveal what exactly had happened to them
It’s a weirdly personal connection, a story like that can have, despite how totally far it is from the original source—for me
It’s what I’d love to see more from Garoth. His deep regret, blanketed by resentment and anger for himself, all directed at the player. He knows he is hurting others, and himself, but to break away from the world he has now would be to lose everything he left them for
the original idea for why youre going in there is that the time bubble is kind of destabilizing the surrounding area
It’s what I assumed, given the troubles
i'm not 100% certain if i'll keep that, or if i'll come up with something better
I can totally see the sanctum’s weight of suspending a piece of itself in time and space slowly pulling apart the valley.
I wonder if Bob ever aware of Garoth existence
Probably not, tbh
maybe they coul dbe friend IDK
In universe, it seems the sanctum is pretty closed off
question who wrote lari's dialogue for the quests? (whoever they are they should have all there text removed its D- quality)
👎
ok let's not
as much as fun it could be bashing on Lari writing
ROL as a whole made under time crush and it's ambitious quest all thing consider
that's so cool
I dont think the dialogue writing on Lari specifcally is bad
you will soon 🔥
5 storyline green quests for garoth
want me to tear it apart?
fair
No lari's writing is just bad
her personality is delisiounal.
okay man if you wanna go that way sure
Also its inconsistant.
like I said ROL as a whole made under a lot of undesire circumstance
fair enough...
just without 4 players requirement
Either way it needs a full rework, and lari's actions dont match her words, nor is her personality consistant across the quest chain
it's ambitious quest that written under time crutch, writers inexperience and not having enough skill to write the story of such scale
I like how AHC is done slightly mysteriously
the CT do intend to remake it at some point
yeah
the key word is at some point
You still have to think where to go but you don't have to go to every cranny and house on the map
but that already been discuss to death
My biggest gripe rereading the entire questline is lari's dialogue... (the lore is fine) the ideas are fine... the execution of her specifically is terrible
I really like what the talking mushroom and the ARG offered for a single player experience similar to ???
tbh if Garoth getting his own quest
I want it to give conclusion to old man matryn somehow
I think old man matyrn as a whole just a weird mystery
We all LOVE talking mushroom
I would even say he probably example to how to do mystery wrong
fair enough
the thing about old man matryn is that
literally there nothing to discuss or theorize about his existence
Old man martyrn
He’s a mystery purely because we literally know nothing about him
yup
like literally the fact nobody discuss about him at all
is very telling of how bad of a mystery he is
mystery should spawn various of intereptation
but Marytn has fucking none
except that one dude you helped and that's it
becausen obody care
And there’s nothing in the game, besides a few bits of dialogue, that give him any sort of goal or connection to the world. As of now, he was Bob’s friend who watches time valley, and that’s it
he is a mystery for the sake of mystery and never leave a bread crumb for player to being engage
tbh beinb bob's friend is nothing
because i bet everyone who met Bob is Bob's friend
he is liek that one popular guy at school
Trashie how did you manage to misspell Martyn three times in a row
Literally the truth, too. Bob’s friend was any person who met him, and is still alive today
🔥
All three of them with different spellings
because i type fast and I could not care less about him
THE INCIDENT
Talking Mushroom came here once and encountered… The Creature.
the mushroom met john gluk
he is what killed the creature that left the giant skull
old man matryn is need to be overhaul in someway it just IDK man such a goddamn weird mystery
it boring kind of mystery
the worst kind of mystery
true
what about removed and more exploration on olm lore
Dead Island, anyone?
Dead Island just old writing stuff
I honestly just feel like it could use entire overhaul
Ik it’s basically a fan fic atp, but what if we applied it to now
my favorite place with the dern beasts minions
have a vast open ocean and all enemies you can think of
is zombie
Lv. 75 Dern Beasts fr
are you geniunely serious
Hey, sometimes they had endermen
if DeadiIsland got remake
I hope that it literally has nothing in it
like just overgrowth tree
Ocean needs a full rework
I hope dead island gets fucking nuked off the face of the map, tbh
yeah and the only interesting one we get is fircking lonely islet
it should be just an islad you come across
no maro deserves that far more
Replace it with a potential ocean raid
Maro deserves a rework, not a removal
I did transform Dead Island in my WynnEx Rewrite
That is what maro peaks deserves
maro peaks...
where is that
Renamed it to Tavernmaw and it’s now a really important hotspot for Renkka lore (and like, quests relating to the funny kraken man in question)
I get what you mean, having a completely dead island that’s nothing more than a mystery, but I think a lot of the empty islands around Wynn could be better used for that. Dead Island really feels like it should just be entirely removed, and make room for other islands instead
Fragmented across this discord server
I don’t have a compiled doc for it
Best I have is the passalong chart though but even that one’s unfinished
like I feel ocean could have been fun region that is mix and mash different region together
like a vast relatively newly open ocean
It’s really funny how dead island’s inclusions/quest felt outdated even during its conception
Basically Dead Island becomes straight-up a Lovecraftian island
and all people want to get a piece and explore it
like lore wise
ocean is open realtively new in wynncraft
like 100 years ago
I think it was my least favorite quest, and area, in the game
imagine all kind of thing going on there
my guess is after fruma we'll get "rekindled" ocean along with new music
What do you guys think of Aenara lmao
I've lurked here for a few years but too shy
Funny you say that
troubled tribesmen right
Also an important character in my rewrite lmao
that quest needs to not exist
Yar
I forgot that existed
tbh a lot of my WynnEx rewrite is me looking at obscure Wynncraft content and going “you are now promoted to plot relevance”
Aenara is hilariously bad, both as a character, and as a boss
“Please do not resist”
If Renkka is the recurring antagonist of the ocean then I made Aenara the main antagonist of the Jungle
The bane of ct
In my rewrite he’s a plant-arachnid behemoth horribly mutated by the Earth Crystal
Aenara is a bug, though. Like, a lame asf bug
jungle does struggle with a lack of overarching stuff going on
He basically rules the entire jungle
Troubled tribesmen is like thst one joke you said in high school and forever regret about it
I keep hearing from people that jungle needs help yeah
everything feels very one-off
jungle does struggle. the end
in passing probably
People hating on Troubled Tribesman has taught me that wow I actually cannot tell when something is meant to be offensive
That or I just forgot what happens in the quest
He no longer blue
neat
they talk some ancient language and the guy puts a cool spell on you and you can talk now
I’m not supposed to think that way
I just looked up the dialogue what the heck
so i'm not alone
All I remember is the Aenara-Entamis conflict because I actually did see potential in that plotline
Actually what is worse
Troubled tribesmen existence or Worid existence
I really dont remember this
(And I did, WynnEx rewrite has them as major players now)
Even made a model back then
(It’s trash though I’ll use Wynncraft’s 2.1 system next time)
That and I want to make him more plant-y
Like he’s half plant
'trash' but 10x better than whats in the game
hard to say
i think theres a way to spin worid to be fine
i dont know what specifically it is but i believe it can be done
The solution is to make him a killable mob
(He drops all the money he has ever stolen and we get to keep it)
It’s the fact that Worid is a half human half villager looking dude in the jungle that’s just giving it all sorts of yowzas
You just answered your own question
I think if that was better conveyed it'd make it less awkward
Worid should be a goblin or some shit lmao
half human half villagers are weird overall
why is the guy in eltom quest black
yeah wait do we even see other hybrids
I thought one of the Mayor’s had darker skin
Hey you wanna hear something really, really funny
Eltom mayor is white as now
and the girl is just a villager model
you're not the father
Sur
thesead mayor cheated
the question is, on who?
Maybe it’s a consistent dormant gene that gets unlocked when a hybrid is made between the two, idk lol
if she can't meet eoric so often...
WHAT
and ardulf is probably not her child
Oh no
There’s potential for this lmao
oh god
TLDR; Ardulf is quite literally Worid but whatever CT took the skin stretched the eyes
Like, it’s the same head texture
he's worid but surprised
Worid being a half breed banished to the jungle needs to scam enough money to get back to Gavel, then exact his revenge on Elton lmao
lool
peak storytelling
Just added a hood onto it
also does this mean Ardulf isn't a villager human halfbreed
no this means that worid is
Blackface
Wynncraft is such a weird fantasy
Cause the idea of mix spieces just not really shown as normal or something. Worth talk about
And when it talk about
It just
“Mixed race couple? Cringe!” Proceed to play guitar
I thought Worid was another human-villager hybrid for a while
then others brought up blackface and I just hated him even more than I already did lol
dude is already a scumbag
yeah it's really weird because you'd think that it'd be a common thing at this point
lock me in a room with Worid, Lari, and Tasim
I shoot Worid repeatedly as despite faults, the other 2 at least try to help with things sometimes
?
how would it be common
my name may as well be AM when it comes to Worid
human and villager relations
anyways ted talk over gn wynncord
gn
...are kinda garbage
gn
both sides are pretty racist
Nothing really suggest that tho
It even weirder cause
The implication he care that much about money despite it has would be no use of him due to him in tribal society
Kinda come off as villager greediness is from their gene rather than their condition enviotment
Which then it
at the very least, many villagers explicitly say things to the effect of "all humans are violent brutes"
You know where I am gojng
but I'm not violent 🥺
I think the entire jungle need heavy rework to make it feel like jt got a story
you killed a guy's cows when he asked you to deal with them tbf
I still in the idea of punishment Troms storyline where player being sent to work in Troms as punishment for gojng awol
Only to reveal to be a test by the admiral
and killed that one chicken on rooster island
I feel like that could make the jungle story feel unique give more variety to wynncraft story
And also it would transition really well for player to leaving the military
Like player need to leave the military
That joke being kept makes zero sense, since it’s supposed to be a nod at how they didn’t have the tech to make leading the cows back to the dude actually work. They could totally do that, now, but decided that it’d be funnier to just make us uncharacteristically stupid
in any case it seems doubtful that villager-human relations would be common
all things considered
they could probably deal with it in an eventual gavel update
Yeah, the binding of gavel afterbirth
we should cancel fruma and rework gavel again
That’s a great idea, Gavel needs an update real quick
yes please
another space on my bingo card checked off
There’s this one piece of relatively obscure Gavel content that was removed awhile back but hasn’t been added back
You probably haven’t heard of it it’s called-
(which means one left before bingo on F)
Like I’ve said before
We kill anything with a healthbar on sight
(It’s the law)
so many people skip the Nightmare bossfight
it's sad
But only sometimes, and we’re clearly capable of understanding the difference, if there isn’t any possible misunderstanding, like with Nohno
ok well we killed cluckles in self defense
he attacked us
also for the fun of it but that's irrelevant
We killed cluckles because Nohno implied it to be “dangerous” and that it “needed to be taken care of”
I think RR2 is about Picard
cause like
think about it
Picard can easily just restore people's memories
with his orb
thats a pretty big nuisance if you ask me
so your saying this
the player is punished for going awol
sent to the jungle
and apparently it was a test
what?
i need to know more
I guess never is happening fruma is coming
fruma gonna get the gd 2.2 treatment
does fruma know of this, i wonder? fruman government did know about the decay, the expanse, and the corruption, so... but then again, picard is relatively small compared to all those events
theres something eerily similar about the ending scene of the "sixth sovereign trailer" and the some of the new promotional material, which is funny if nothing else
-also do apologize if its been posted already, i dont follow this server religiously 🙏
yeah that been a mystery
maybe could be a rebel???
the fact they riding a golem might be hitn they are cursed
and that just like
typical rebel spray paint
Ok listen I may be insane, but what if that’s a golem made out of someone’s grave, the way the golem is designed just gives me that vibe, I’m not- sure why. Alternatively it could be some sort of earth bending but either way I get the vibe of somebody creating it all on their own.
It just made a lot of thing
like so far it look like tree root
foliage
earth
and machinery??
it comes across as some shamanistic bullshit where theyve raised a golem from the earth
though i wonder if its a rebel / non-aligned / or if the "eyes" are there to denote that they are under some sort of hypnosis (which the Frumans do seem to know a thing or two about manipulating heads :D)
It either eye because they are hypnosised
or they are this crazy doctor character
but I feel like consider Fruma
hypnosied is not out of the question
it would make sense why the hypnosis eyes/glasses are depicted in the torture room as pointed out here if it was some hypnosis stuff
could also be that the person on top of the golem can hypnotize you
that would make for a fun raid mechanic :-D
I was watching crasher, who's Raia? Does she have any lore?
No she just a mob in proff island
Just happen to have someone commission art of her
So are the trailer each for different members of the Fruma court or smth?
Sovereigns
Yeah I forgot the title for a sec
I wonder how the Fruma constructs work
Because they aren’t electro magic
Wait can humans be made into golems
If villagers can..
Also why is that
flashbacks to an iron heart 1-2
Royal Report IV said that Electromagic may be of interest to Fruma
Implying they don’t have it or it’s not really used
Wouldn't it make sense that the scientist girl is experimenting with it
That’s possible I suppose
To me it looks a bit more like magic than what little we’ve seen of electromagic
Like animating objects/constructs va machinery
The electro magic we’ve seen has a lot more particles iirc
Hmm
Speaking of electromagic why do we think it’s of interest to Fruma? The current theories I’ve seen have the leaders of Fruma having access to magic and anyone outside of their circle are “cursed” to try and remove destabilizing factors to their rule, but electromagic can be learned by anyone right?
Wouldn’t the introduction of electromagic at all be counterproductive for them? Because it’s likely eventually the someone in the populace would figure out how it works
it seems that only a single one of the Sovereigns is actually interested in it
So it’s just interest in terms of experimentation then?
And not potential implementation?
which coincidentally is the one teased in today's short trailer thing
Yeah that’s why I was asking
if I had to guess
although Recover the Past references a factory
Imagine a quest line where some sort of resistance group thinks the Sovereigns are making robotic war machines using electromagic and send us to stop them, and when we finally get the technomancer Sovereign they’re like “I just think they’re neat.”
WHO ARE THESE PEOPLE???
me
we get there and the soveriegn takes off a mask to reveal theyre just Maxie
doubtful
ik ik its a joke, tho if it did happen i would scream lol
seeing that this is the major world update
it's more likely they'd add a lesbian couple
than reuse a gay couple
im still slightly salty we dont get to attend his wedding
Still curious as to what the King of Ragni knows about Fruma, being a direct neighbor to them.
Despite Fruma's quietness, it's still likely that Ragni can at least know SOME details about them. At least enough for them to accept recruits from Fruma.
Wait maxies spouse is a man??? I always thought they were a woman.
yes
man is peak
Huh that's nice
You know they wrote a gay couple well why the only way you can tell is by their gender
what
do you think rickeo could've fought against bak'al & his army or was it really just a random corrupted push
dont forget the underrated gay couple in maex
i always assumed bak'al was involved with an army on the corrupted bridge that finally took rickeo out
(now did dwendle survive or die)
yeah
not only was he seemingly stronger than theorick who was already insanely strong, it says he used all of his energy to stop them
has anyone come out with a nice lore summary? I never got super deep into the lore but w/ fruma coming out I’d be interested in learning more about it
sick. looking forward to that
does the “magic” make sense in the game
lime im doing another full pt again
and it seems a lot of jank
what oyu mean
theres a kind of magic that the twains used, then theres one thats used by the jungle on foy then theres a type of magic in gavel then theres electromagic
then theres the magic in SE
then theres magic in fruma
It just seems like “oh uh magic exists for this area👍”
from what we know, the magic the Twains used is the same knd of magic the Frumans nobilty use. We also know that Electromagic might have its origins in Fruma too, but we will see if thats the case. Jungle is messy and lore is ancient so just ignore that bit. Gavel magic is much more potent because the sentient species there are more exposed to Orphion and the Light than the humans are, making spells and such over there a lot more powerful. As for SE, all of that is Dark magic, which was probably created or was a byproduct of the Dern Beast
theres a timeline page on the wiki but its super long and has a ton of unimportant info
the twain use leemental magic
they just good at it
the jungle also use elemental magic but they just use shamanism
jst
assume everythign is elemental
like those are most common type of magic use by normal people in the world
jungle doesnt even have secret discovieries its never getting updated 😭
SE having magic is like up to your view if dark, light, and corruption has magic or not
also reading just timeline have you missing out on the fundemental of the world
such as how the world work or what each area meant to be
true
how can it be a timeline if it doesnt discuss the Fruman-Olmic hyperwar??
like
magic stuff wise
just
ASSUME
everything is elemental magic to some degree
because those are the most common type of magic in wynncraft that normal civilization to use
there is soul magic, cosmic, magic and stuff
but those are like very rare and only few use it
there is no SE magic, there is no twain magic, there is no jungle magic, or whatever
it just simply how people use magic
it like firearm
they all guns but each country manufracture and use them differently
SE magic?
Huh?
What does SE magic mean?
SE is silent expanse
mean nothing as I said
Ah
Do we get an explanation of how electromagic works, because if so I don’t remember? Is it technomancy? Harnessing ambient magic?
so far it's extension of thunder magic
likely simply concentrating thunder elmeneti nto electricity form
which then pretty much work like real life electricity
be gay do crimes type beat
if the corkians manage to find out about petroleum magic, Dern is doomed
What is the exact lore of timelost sanctum?
Its lost.. in time i think, not sure
An olm by the name of Garoth choose to stay behind in time valley in spite of the incident
I guess I would expand it to the power of the olm over time and time valley
So he build entire sanctum to hold time in place just so he can survive the incident
But now the sanctum just necessery from his survival or something
And that like very very rough summary
There more stuff but like you probably gotta ask Lexnt for that cause idk how to explain it
.... do we have any good reason for going in and killing him
Not uet
Someday
Was wondering if I could tie it into my idea of reworking the clock dungeon
I don’t think you could consider Garoth story in it’s own thing
Rather than intertwine with what clock mystery which mostly in gavel
you definitely should not
lol
ok
well if you like any of my ideas in my rework post in constructive feedback feel free to take or become inspired by them.
It’ll probably be something related to the Time Troubles quest, like Garoth Sanctum existing helped release that initial one on Tempo Town
I just hope Tempo Town gets more stuff to do, and maybe some tents or something for shelter
we don't like him
we do need that Time Valley/Pigman Ravine/Jungle overhaul update some point
give Timelost Sanctum an actual quest
yes
SICK
butbutbut if Timelost Sanctum quest we can't kill him for the fun of it we'll have had an actual reason to
He never said it needed to give us a reason
I have just finished A Journey Beyond and I am not okay. I know they were gonna sacrifice me instead but also....... :(
If Tasim gets murked in fruma we riot
that's the other guy you start with at the beginning right? 😭 i hadnt even considered that. fear
yeah, he's the warrior guy
holding Tasim in a full body hug and using myself as a shield. leave my mans alone
piercing crossbow
he doesn't consider you a friend btw
he tells you that you're friendless
sooooooo
i mean, the PC kinda is. we just kinda do whatever
God that quest needs a change eventually
Tasim shows up at Christmas as one of the invites
at least, he has for the past few years
no idea if that trend will just continue with new dialogue after Fruma, I guess it just depends on whether or not Tasim lives through Fruma
i am wondering if we will have the option to tell him
if you talk to him in Detlas during the Christmas festival, the game tells you that you do not feel the time is right to tell him or something
you can't even invite him if you haven't done AJB tmi
no, no AI generated image lore
Is it possible to sell cosmetics for emeralds? In the player market?
no
It probably will serve as one of the plot point
Deadass felt betrayed that two of my Day 1s were genuinely going to slime me out
It hurts too because the player has actually made bonds and connections throughout his journey and HE was ONE of them 🥲
lucio
The fact that Lucio was considered above the player too lmfao
Appalachian and Luthor corrupted Pale Ale
Didn’t we only meet Elphaba once
Yeah and we helped her entire squadron not get clipped. Least she could do is sack Lucio
Although it does kinda of make sense. I'm going to assume that they didn't really know what we were doing in gavel, and it was just kind of radio silence from us
They didn’t know we stopped the decay true but like solving the dogun-dwarf conflict, calming the colossus, solving the orc conflict, etc. should be pretty common knowledge.
Lucio must have blackmail on them or something
lucio is more powerful than the player because he can beat up polar bears
Real
ok but lucio died and the player didnt
so the player is more powerful
It should be, but it's the only explanation that makes sense to me
i got a friend into wynncraft recently and they had the same observation i did: that there is a hilarious number of “random npc knocks you out easily” quests when the player is fully armored, can survive hits from several eldritch beings and gods, and can shoot meteors and atom bombs and whatever the hell else
next update leaked ❗
I don't mean professions in tutorial we break a massive tree physically to get through a ravine
also that's fucking crazy
yea i just felt like sharing its a crazy class lol
oh god
theres also a guy who has a class with 0 mob kills thats level 74
well its like 0 mob kills and no carries from other ppl to powerlevel through group content
funny stuff
Pacifist route
funny people
i wonder if it's possible for your first kill to be aledar
not sure what mobs are serverside and whatnot
Actually wait don’t you have to kill stuff in quests
not all of em
just look at his profile
I mean
technically you can get through several by using other players for help or getting items on another class
i think he chose not to do that at all
just out of principle, idk
Then how does that player get through the quests without help from others
i think he cant do most of em, lol
i hope fruma enlightens us
theres a timeline where Lucio was the sacrifice bcause tasim was with aledar and we didnt show up im just sayin
I feel like Aledar said he has intention of sacrifice the fourth
so either it's us or Tasim
they didn't have a fourth in mind
they were actively looking for one at the time
you know it weird becuase like
Aledar send message to Tasim
and Tasim just come late
so I guess the expendition was in the hurry
I guess
us being accepted so quickly was kind of impromptu, but they still went with it because as Aledar described it, the player was the perfect choice
strong
no loved ones to leave behind
no real past life
tbh that kinda doo doo from Aledar part
cuaes we literally arrive in the same cart like
not even a year ago
like all of this take place in months
ok fine 2 sorta loved ones
exactly 2 friends in the entire world as far as he's concerned
and one is missing anyhow
the thing is
Does Aledar even hae loved one leave behind LOL
cause so far he been traveling so much
idk him and Tasim seem p close in the final quest we have rn
I think it was referencing how we seemingly didn't even have a readable past from Recover the Past
we're the third wheel
worst friend group ever
I guess but Aledar was not there
he was never there
like so far as we know
that do be an issue
ALedar did not even like
do anything that remarkable comparison to us
like PUBLICLY
man did not like the cut of our gib
we literally stop war
stop disaster
and other vairous of things
these are like
these are not secrect behind doors, this is in the open
I assume that once word got out that a random wizard living near Detlas could bring back fragments of your past if you helped him, there would've been a lot of stuff going on in Elkurn
and we know the orb is fixable from the Christmas festival events
the game just seems bad at acknowledging this in general
we see it sometimes in like in The Breaking Point and the start of The Thanos Depository and whatnot but not much elsewhere
yeah aledar speaking bullshit here
IDK I always prefer if rewrite happen
and the sacrifice was not intended
I think it just strange that aledarj ust know that
like the group just know that
Aledar knowing all of this too was kind of funny because who was the first person to figure that out
I don’t think events are canon
Ppl resurrecting for bb is totally canon!!
do we think the door of time will open and this time walter white will be on the other side and we will have to cook
I hope that they add references to other events beyond the player solved by other soldiers like Elphaba and Aledar. We hear from Tasim during FOTB about stopping an old golem, but it would be nice to hear at least from citizen dialogue about what the others are up to.
Like not as major stuff as the player is dealing with though, because if that was the case then it could feel like the player is missing out on cool quests that don’t exist
Maybe some NPCs at the guild hall in Cinfras who give different dialogue based on how far you’ve progressed or something idk
I pretty sure they are aware now that they should ahve write more offscreen events to make the world feel more alive
so probably in the future
we will get more
Honestly I just want to hear about Linton’s antics
Like if some random guy in Lievgar says that Linton walked into a quartz research lab and everything exploded instantly
cosnider Linton place in the world
I can hardly see him in Gavel unless he really need to be there for a job
he so far ike
the most normal guy
also god I keep forgetting how stupid quartz lore is
I just want more Linton man
Maybe he somehow ended up getting hired by Wynn Excavation to help with tunnels or something idk
I mean I guess?
IDK why would Wynnex a gavelian company that probalby already have their own team of demolition
I’ve only known him for two quests but if it was Linton in AJF instead of Aledar, I’m definitely not fighting the Eye
would hire like a relatively recent demolitionist
that probably has awful track history
but pop off I guess
I hope Wynn Ex gets updated eventually in general
yeah someday
they said after fruma that wynnexcavation was on the table for a revamp I think
Like maybe including more characters the player actually knows? The whole ancient civilizations but seems like it should interest Junes at least a bit
Great
was the mention in the rekindled update announcement or something? cant quite remember
June so far feel only active in desert
so like aside form one quest
IDK
IDK the problem with like
trying to shove different character in
is that it gonna get messy real fast
I mean the first crystal is held in a desert temple
espically on a quest that have you traveling all over the place
Seems like that one should be related at least
which result in not many character can follow along the story
It really depend
on the execution
but definitely risky one
Maybe just regional NPCs then that we’ve already met?
yeah that the thing
is each part of Wynnex just have regional NPC making cameo
then like
the character list in the questline going to massive and hard to track
not saying that it impossible
but it definitely would be diffuclt for the writers to not overlaod the readers with characters
meybe they can cameo or something, like one character meets you for one quest, then another relevent one in another part of the quest, etc
No that’s fair
maybe even for like, one dialogue thingy
I just want Wynn Ex to be more involved in the world
also it just also really depend on what Wynnex going to be about
crystals are simply product of its time
like essentially
they are mcguffin to their very core
so I can see them being remake for something else
maybe they'll involve the crystals more in the greater world at large, maybe tie it into the meteors in ??? or some other things
I mean the end of the quest line is another teaser for the SE and Dern because of the Olm right? Maybe lean into that more
IDK I just
kinda tired of crystals???
In WYnncraft there just so many crystal-like stuff that it get really confusing
and it just
So maybe like Olm relics then?
feel very lazy and uncreative with how much crystals being use as mcguffin
olsm relic definitely like
olmic stuff defintiely feel underutilize in the setting
so maybe
If they get rid of the crystals wouldn’t they have to remake ??? to then?
also btw the funniest part is that despite so many use of crystal in this setting
none of them are good
Because isn’t Gavel Excavation the cause of the whole debacle with the brothers
they have
but gavelian meteor seemingly has nothing to do with crystals appear in Wynnex
and like
they both just happen to be crystal
I guess
IDK I literally could not pay attention to the crystals lore when it just
this
I thought the Crystals were just meteor shards from the ones that landed in the SE
That’s what’s implied in A Wynnic Excavation discovery right
which is funny because a CT mention that that discovery just added for the sake of it
it just meaningless
whichi s like weird to why it exist in the first place
not that I complain because the idea of powerful crystals that able to empower someone
just
have fuck ton of them lying around kinda weird
Yeah that’s why I think Olmec relics would be a better fit for Wynn Ex
We already know that type of stuff still is around from Time Valley
being olm relics also would give more focus on these things allowing olms to escape dern
it would make it feel more personal to olms
rather than
And the quest culminates with the Olm in the jungle already
a fucking crystals with random power
and also you can escape dern wit hit
becasue we kinda give up on thinking about what make them special beyond they are crack
Was the Olm stuff added after Wynn Ex was already made?
IDK about that
Or was that always part of it
I alweays have likre
remake idea in mind
where all these crystals are replace with fragment of olmic artifact
this is an old design
they are essentailly what allow olms to escape dern
but when they escape, it would bew heavily changed by Dernic presence there and become its own creature
the olms then decide to shatter it and sent each fragment scatter across space and time
