I just gonna classify them as primodial spirits that are generally hostile and live by feeding on living being souls

They capable of forming pact with mortals beings as well where often ended with the demon consume the mortal’s soul at the end of their life

There also powerful variant of demons called arch demons
And there currently only 5 of them exist in their respective element
As of right now they are poorly study and understand by the general civilization
As encountering one is rare

There's also the question of what the magicblurname location is. We can guess Fruma or Dern. Dern would make more sense if that part of the lore is undeveloped as it would mean that CT don't have to update RoL on Fruma release, but it could also be Fruma.

time fragments, as i know them, are not currency. They are essentially bits and pieces of technology (sort of like microchips to us) that have the ability to give temporal powers to ordinary things. The observatory in SE for example has time fragments on the telescope. Id imagine the time valley shovel has some time fragments embedded in it somewhere
