and no elaboration
wait are the purple void crystal reltaed to Wynnex crystals I forgot
they look the fucking same
oh wait I forgot wynnex and gavelian meteor are completely different I THINK??
I geniunely forgot because like
they probably different but at the same time they felt the same to me for some reason
WynnExcavation Site E
Somehow Amadel returns and destroys the entire fleet of Wynn army war vehicles but then he dies from his own Crystal magic using the power of friendship or whatever
the story ever
Itās ok because then Amadel learns the meaning of friends and repents for his mistakes by apologizing (and everyone has a dance party at the end)
(Ignore all the people he killed tho)
nah it's frumaexcavation site a
where the remnants of the wynnex company fled to fruma and setup there
They all gonna get fucking executed
ew anti-intellectualism
disgusting
idts
amadel dont give no shit bout fruma
plus like only connection of fruma and wynnex is sohso
and fruma is isolated
amadel is dead
ngl for my headcanon, ||I always feel like Fruma would involve a battle which would be akin to All Roads to Peace with the Fruman queen offering to battle, although this could eventually be either later in the quest, or if the teaser is right - as soon as you are near the gate. Of course for the former, this would involve a splinter group as mentioned in Relos' secret library, which I also pictured Tasim being able to reunite with the player, which could give A Journey Beyond vibes, but the 'captain' of the group would sneak in, and try to overthrow the monarch as its likely corrupted, but I could be wrong. On the other hand, the battle would involve the queen being impressed by the soldier's skill, and would pardon them for whatever they did to end up with Tasim and Aledar to Wynn, but the thing is - what the heck did the soldier do?||
Spoilered because this is a bit of a predictable headcanon
Well that imply the group that would become corkian are splitter group
HONESTLY
I dont think you would want to get pardon by a facist LOL
but idk maybe fruman queen is not who we thought to be
but as of rn IDK with information we have ehhhhhh
I rather not get pardon by facist
Iirc it was like: gavel excavation studied meteors, and things in gavel as well as funded the science guy in the sky island, then fired members and became Wynnex to find the crystals and stopped funding that guy
Wait thatās actually interesting are there more lore pieces to support that? :o
That something alright
So like void crystal are different from Wynn crystals somehow
God when they said it was product of its time
It really is product of its time
Good thing I vaporize crystal stuff from Wynnex
Btw who made this from a while back I still canāt understand it lol
Purple
also like
When was this in the game xd
Iām trying my best to make sense of it- itās connecting how the crystals etc moved around the world and who connected to what but Iām kinda confused
Also like noting how wynnex got 4 crystals⦠one for each elementā¦. But not the air one, does this mean that like- Amadel wouldāve been 1000x stronger if he had obtained the air crystal? (Which we also like.. donāt see(?))
Maybe itās invisible, like air and what have you
At least iirc the T4+
That fan made boss
You need to ask purple themselves to understand jt
You wonāt understand by just image alone
T1-3 is invis, but that also like helps prove that the air crystal would be visible
As more condensed air magic is visible seen from higher tier powders
I donāt think they meant to be element
So a crystal of all air powder would be visible
I mean.. it would make sense
It would
But it not
For some reason
Also it would be just really weird if olms just somehow escape Dern by using āearthā crystal cause like
tbh I think it is but wynnex just needs to be updated to make it clear
wtf is the connection
If Wynnex get remake
I highly doubt crystals will stay
Becuase as it mention
They are product of their time rather than sometime with actual meaning
But who know
by using the 5 crystals of each element bc some godly power that embodies light and darkness and can be harnessed to create or destroy š
this is why rainbow builds r op fr
I donāt think they ever mention other crystal
It just the green one
Specifically
For some reason
I donāt think olms ever mention the other
Farcor stole itā¦
Well at that point we might as well said sea skipper somehow habe something to do with this
Anyway
Yeah just idk
Does not really give Wynnex thst much consideration
Planned to do Wynnex rrwrite at some point long after rol
tbh I really like the current wynnex idk why
Sure
It fits my love for lore perfectly somehow
Farcor ate it and thatās why heās an air dragon
mysterious not many answers but at the same time gives like 1000000 questions but gives you a deeper insight that thereās more to the world
sarcasm orrr
I gotta plan to finish up rol rewrites somehow
God
Talking with editor would be difficult but I will find a way
can't wait for LI rework
so they add amadel
LI could be a good boss rush
but since 40% of the bosses are unknown for half of the player base
well nothing too confirming, but Time Valley has a lot of time-warping buildings and artifacts. Thing is, in the lake under the Sanctuary bridge are blue "rocks" (most likely blue crystals) which i assume the Olm mined at some point to make their time warping machines
wait the olm made time warping machines??
am i dumb
i never remember that
also what about the purple teleporting rocks?
not time machines per say. Im referring to the time shovel from that one quest. It uses time warping to make excavation work instant
hm
purple rocks/crystals can be found throughout the void, during the 1000 meters under quest we use them to teleport from floating island to floating island
unfortunately not, thus why this is only a head canon. It doesnt explain the mysterioys teleporter between nemract and time valley, which uses a blue crystal despite being a teleporter
lol
update on wartorn document
yo
im js curious but is the corruption in the alumj desert or is it just trapped to only the wynn plains
I pretty sure it somewhat reach desert consider there undead there
but it not that much
but there osme patch of corruption in the mesa
HONESTLY I just think mummy is production of corruption because literally like
that the only thing we know of in wynn that bring back the dead
yuh
but how abt in troms tho?
there is no corruption spike so it's not that infested
Troms
there is WE about corruption there
?
but yeah jungle as a whole is outdated
but the information we have
WOrld event
but the information we have, the jungle SHOULD be infested wit hcorruption
the bane of the great bridge?
yeah and also like
yea but like
theoretically
the whole slykaar lore stuff about corruption reach Troms
aside from the pigmen ravines
and even recently with Skien and Tisuan lore
there SHOULD be corruption in jungles
i agree
its confusing
although like
theres not much way for corrupteds to go to troms aside from the pigmen ravines
corruption is gone in nesaak
after theorick did shit
HOnetsly yeah IDK after the freezing there like
no way a new corruption force manage to get into troms
so what is there in the jungle should be leftover force
so corruption in the jungle is probably just stranded corrupteds
I think it make more sense if jungle got updated, the only thing that left is stranded undead and devils
im pretty sure that we dont see a lot of corruption in the troms jungle cuz like
the stranded corruption left in troms got weaker and weaker
Is the Nameless Anomaly the big black skeleton, or the gem inside?
Probably big black skeleton itself
I still stand by the fact that TNA likely an olm
Any TNA lore?
I just got back into Wynncraft recently and honestly I forgot how good the story is, I'm only level 40 rn but the recent quests I've been doing have nice dialogue and cool story! Not to mention all the fun fights some have and little activities!
very fun indeed (imo)
Iām of the opinionāand hopeāthat the black skeleton itself was once an Olm, but the crystal within it has warped and changed it to better suit whatever itās doing
Iād really like the crystal to be a more involved aspect of its design, where the skeleton gets beaten and broken off of its body, forcing the crystal to morph and change the skeleton to suit its disadvantaged state
Like you blow off its hands, but thatās fine, because the skull eats the crystal, and the ribs become fingers, and it starts crawling like some kind of horrible spider
noice! yeah many of the quests have great flavor to them
in your headcanon, what in basic terms is wynncraft's world origin story? and how would that explain certain questlines/locations?
Am I to assume that Realmic influence isnāt just like, on Earth
We know Wynncraftās outer space is massive, probably nearly the same scale as oursā
So like
Is there a reason why the two portals are comparatively, astronomically close to each other
Honestly, I donāt think so
This has been my own kind of head cannon, but I always imagined that there were hundreds of destroyed worlds, all basically accumulating at the realm of war. Every time a battle is completed and a world is overtaken/destroyed, they go to a new world and throw down as close to each other as strategically possible, taking one half of the world/province or whatever.
Iāve got a small theory, attached to this idea, where orphion themself took a defensive approach to their eternal battle, having closed off his own realm from any sort of opening from Dern, but the world itself also just somehow closed over them both, conveniently benefitting in Orphionās approach.
Dern, having no way of interacting with Orphion, took their time and bided for a moment to inflict their influence in the most strategically intelligent way they could think of, taking a stealthier approach, and aligning themself with those desperate enough (Baākal)
Tna is Greg Heffley when he snaps
is there lore on who runs the trade markets
since they are all the same entiries in each city with the same items
It mostly for gameplay purpose just like blacksmith and item identifier
But overall trade markets literally just market irl
Each city gotta have a market
Ope even buy supplies form one
lore will need to be created in fruma.
What
blacksmiths and item identifiers dont need to have lore because theyre solo businesses
but the trade markets are interconnected
I am confuse what you meant
It just market
For gameplay purpose
Because if they try to make lore of thst then it gonna get complicated and very confusing
With implication that every city ever exist share this one inter dimensional market
Which get very weird when you involve currency, economy, and stuff
And also make logistic very questionable
I literally donāt see what you mean by it being interconnected lore wise
Or that it has to be
Or it offer anything to the setting/lore by being implement closely to its in game function
Also stuff like corkus would never work if they are nation free from influence like that if gavel
If they share this inter dimensional market along with them
And also fruma because they meant to keepe everyone outside out
So like idk what you meant
Damn okay I guess I will never know
trade market is just one of those things u have to not think about. It has no basis on the lore, but if it did it would break the economical and logistical systems of the world
just consider it... a metaphysical construct only we the player are aware of due to our sheer power or something
or our collective delusion i guess
Itās just a market vendor that takes from multiple, notable trade hubs. The fact it sells as much as it does is purely a gameplay thing, but the in lore concept is that shipments from around the world fly into these set hubs and distribute the goods from there
Thatās why there arenāt trade markets in every single town, because most towns and cities arent hubs for commercial traffic
This literally what I meant it nearly impossible to have thing like this work in lore
And also letās be real shit in decay area neglected as fuck
Galevius?
Itās Gale but vius
.
(Idk I was trying to remember an NPC named that while reading the post as well)
Wynncraft dev be making up herobrine character
because srly who the hell is galevius
well go find them then
Wonder what Clock Mystery lore would be
Almost forgot about that project
I want to combine bosses from the old and new one into one big conceptual boss rush thatāll be cool
Do we have images of the new Clock Mystery
I canāt remember

Courag - ~5000 BP
Unknown:
Bremminglar
Iboju Village
Elkurn
Avos Settlement
Centerworld
Jofash Docks
Do we have an estimation of what year the Olms existed
Or like the earliest known year
Memorial Npc
what is taloka
whatās courag
why did lutho get gloomy and such i forgor
whatās center world
why do we know cinfras exactly before 483
It's dogun city
that being rebuild post DND
courage is dogun capital that been repurpose into festival site that you been in DND 1
lutho is gloomy because
honestly do I have to even fucking say because I feel like you could just make guess yourself like literally if you just play the game
also what you mean by 483
like the uprising?
well we ogt like llevigar library archivist
we got the archieve in discoveyr
so yeah that how we know stuff
any lore significance of the outer void?
it's void
maybe that mythic paper?
oh that about how ahsmord colossus rebuilding itself
huh
which oe
what dialogue
this is the mean
oh these are Ragni balls. If u talk to that one child npc in Ahmsord he says that Ragni balls are out of fashion and all the kids are kicking theirs into the void, hence this is how the Gatherer gets them
as for this, the only statue i can think of is the Ahms colossus because it is obviously too heavy to move, but its still here and not lost to the void
is the canyon colossus a different one?
theyre essentially the same entity, just copies of one another
or does it count as ahms
ah
I have a foggy memory of the ragni ball from ragni being pushed to ahmsord as an easteregg
is that a thing?
yeah, i think that line from the wanderer partially references that
why did dern start controlling lutho and such
is dern a furry like orphion
we dont know
yall think there will be more expansion after fruma
nah bro they gonna completely stop the game after fruma happens
a shame
i think the next one will be dern
atleast after a hunters calling
thats bacisally the doorway to dern
i think
maybe more expansion on the different worlds like void/light realms
What do we know about Dern so far?
there a consolidated info place for lore of the world?
I dont think there muchbeyond the void
since tnothing is its whole point
Dern is just realm of Dark
ROL we alread get into
so fater dern we likely gettin gwhole new storyline
There is.
tf is this supposed to mean (ik theres one on the emerald trail) but like.... its not closed? theres a guy right there
I think there used to not be one there
That guy has been there for literal years now and the sign hasn't been changed
I have no idea why the sign is still there
I'm very lacking on my wynn lore nowadays, are humans native to Wynn or just villagers
yea ik but like⦠was the Wynn team too lazy to remove the sign or is there lore here
prob forgotten, not lazy
Neither are ānativeā to my knowledge, humans emigrated from Fruma and Villagers came from Gavel
yea probs shoulda chosen my words better xd
There might be native humans I forgor
Tho it would be kinda hard to miss when they put the guy there
But Villagers are not native
I'm kinda wondering how old Iboju Village Tribe is
Looked at them and they have human skins
I donāt remember if those are actual pure humans or Olm descendants
Humans r just from fruma right?
I mean Olm lore came out way after Iboju lore
If they are human those would be the only Wynn natives
besides like the tribes in the desert etc
Also Iboju isnāt the only jungle tribe
Yeah the Wynn Plains humans are all Fruma
Thereās also Entimas
I just said Iboju since most people would get what i meant
that identifiers has been there for years despite the sign, we should probably just remove the sign
they have ancient ruins, so definitely old, but I wonder how old
Humans are native to wynn
At least 1000 years since they predate the portal
u should refurbish the sign and add a bit of lore where the two identifiers could be arguing or smtn idk
Or at least like
āRalphās Identification Stationā
A lil more personality idk
So I learned this doing Festival spirits but thereās an enemy called the Item Unidentifier
The Olm? Didnāt they have time warped tools to finish building instantly or smtn (the shovel that Asher found)
????
Its in the rare potato stash island
No I just mean that Iboju Village is like ~2014 wynn while Olm are not lol
Thereās like 2 spawn points there
Thatās it *unidentifies your mythic*
obv can change the lore just wondering what the original story was
Where the spirit is? I did that one last year but I donāt remember an unidentifier
Ah xd
in the potato stash
Yes
They replaced the Potato Imps with them ig
ancient nemract potato stache got removed :(
Whatās odd is I canāt find it on wiki
Did we ever actually get lore on why identifiers have potato stashes
they like potatoes
probably some inside joke
Potatoes are actually the catalyst for identification magic trust
Tbh this is my head cannon
I just wish they did smtn with it
That or its like MiB 3
I
Where a side effect of identification magic is a craving for potatoes
I dont think theywould do something with item identification liking potato
Rather than it being a gag? Idk itās cool but I just love lore and detail
I dont think that would line up with the magic system they going for
but like then again who keep track at this point
Quartz and potatoes are the ultimate power source
Itās stronger than all the wynnex crystals combined and can create new elements and realms at will
quartz somehow being the worse magic absorbing material than petricite is from runeterra
They finally figured it out
No wau
what is the most obscure and unimportant lore yall know?
Old man martyn
like
does he even exist
do anyone remember him exist
yeah saving that random dude from a time loop after he touched a shovel ???
He appear in tempo town too
he meant to be friend wit hbob
which sound like a big deal
but like
some random fucking guy is also BOb's friend
so IDK man
also another one I just htink of
Eih
like EIh is type of part of the lore that less you knwo probably the better
becuase like oh yeah memory paranoid could literally just be haha player high on drug quest and it would be fine
but with the fact that Eih is actually messenger of Light
it brought so many question in a way that it make hte lore worse than better
like is this another hte Light self sabotaging itself? Like
there literally messenger of the light running around
does it ever talk to Lari?
like what the point of it
it literally would do fine btw without this info but oh well
I guess the lore too also love sabotaging itself
Is it cause potatoes have eyes and can see through unidentified items?
is he secretly olm in disguise
no becauee we see olm disguise before
and they look nothing like that
also olms literally have record of them just living in human population without the need of extreme disguise
so it would be entirely pointless to disguise himself
and even then he refer olms as if they are not his own people
imagine saying "the humans" as human being
so you're saying he's a misolmthrope
which is acceptable I guess he is mad at the other olm for breaking everything
I mean sure if you take it that way
but so far there not much evidence of saying he is an olm
all that we know about him is that he is the caretaker of the valley
he know Bob at some point
that pretty much it
he has absurdly powerful magic, maybe he knew Bob's mother, he hates all other Olm because they destroyed their civilization, he disguises so well because the Mysterious Merchant doesn't AT ALL and gets called the Mysterious Merchant as a result
Did he has absurd powerful magic
all I remember is that he mantain time valley
but we were not clear about his power, he more like watcher
also him knowing Bob's mom is a bit of a fetch because we haven o evidence of this
while I do see the hint of "hate" in "nevermind the mess that the olm were so-"
but as for now we dont see other evidence of him actually hate olms as a whole
and what the purpose of disguise if olms does not need disguise to blend in with humans
Bob's mom does just fine and nobody question her
she just eappear to be outsider and that it
WHile I can see that mantainning the valley require immsensely mastery over magic consider shit going in there
it just the fact there is no actual feat going on to draw information from
Skibidi toilet
No
Why is it that apparently the Corruption went for Nemract immediately but only raided Old Detlas (which would have been smack-dab in the path, no?) 3/4 of a century afterwards
well first, we dont know exactly when Nemract fell. It probably wasnt immediately after the portal opened, maybe a few decades at most. Corruption also can be coordinated, as seen by Bakal, meaning it goes after strategic interests. Ancient Nemract was a big and wealthy city, while Detlas was just a small farming village. Bakal probably prioritized destroying Nemract as it was the strongest city in the immediate vicinity, only then focusing on Detlas and the other settlements once the immediate threat was dealt with
It's like in the way and has zero protection tho
And even the tiniest village can be fortified to the point of being a strategic interest
Detlas especially as a crossroads
Wouldn't they rather just massacre Detlas in a rush and be at the gates of Nemract within a day, then use it as a central position to launch attacks on Almuj, Nesaak, and Ragni
At the very least it might make a nice artillery park or something
It fell by Charon
Because
Reasons
Wynncraft timeline is fucking odd anyway so we should not regard it too much
But Charon is known for certain to cause the fall of ancient Nemract
Consider Wynn at those time are essentially more agricultural
It highly possible the army at that time may not be strong enough to defend the city from undead and even then lack of understanding due to how early it is to the war lead to the city downfall
I always thought Charon is a powerful undead guy who uses the dead of Nemract to build his army but wasn't actually the commanding officer who took it, maybe a subordinate but either CoW or Bakal was the general in charge
Cow never mention to lead any army and I donāt think Bakāal active around thst timr and also
Corruption force are not all under Bakāal
Charon is his own thing
Separate entirely from Bakāal
Corruption force are essentially chaotic mess so there is no singular leader leading them all
if Charon was the one in charge of early raids in the region, it would make sense he target a city instead of a settlement - more corpses for his army and all
Bakāal just have his own army and thst it
I mean: Nemract is supposed to be super early on, and Charon is undead, not from the portal
So how could he be a general in charge so early on if he was only just undeaded
CoW led the first army out of the Portal no?
and Bakal the second
No it just a thing
It did not mention to lead anything
Bakāal is second person stepping into portal
Not the second one to lead army
Isnāt CoW like, explicitly mindless
Yes
How does it lead an army
Undead command structure seemingly only just one capable mind and the less being mindless undead
So I donāt thjnk it take that much time to gather a horde
But yeah
Early in in corruption ear
Charon should habe thst much army
So it just
Wynncraft timeline being questionable kind of thing
It kinda hard to take Wynncraft timeline seriously when it fuck up a lot of thing
So I say take jt with grain of salt
whole of Charon character lore should be reworked, i dont think its been looked at since the 2010s at least
Ct are planning to Ywah
While Charon lore need to be reworked from the ground up
He essentially tbe most misuse character ever
It can summon Corrupter Spawn no?
Corrupter spawn is
Idfk man thrust shit is old
It just bug
Back then corruption is weird
back then corruption was just the nether
Like back then corruption is random bullshit the writer came up with and then put it in a quest
And never mention again
Like for god sake just look at lava spring quest like
Like wtf happen to corruption being this mega fauna thing
Yknow what could be nice
Ok but I donāt see how thatās relevant to what I just said
He can summon corrupt spawn but what about it
not a real army per se but a horde
(Ok to be fair we did see CoW summon a small army in its cave)
presumably he could spawn more than bugs but the Twains fucked him over
Is not that like
Army of people who gone to the cave to test themselves
I donāt remember
Nah those 6 are in CoWās arena
We can see their bodies around the room
Are they supposed to be equals or smth
No but like
What are you on about
I think in the long past it terrorized Wynn with a horde of actual creatures but now that the Twains sealed it in it's gotten weak
I mean to be fair it was one of the most difficult bosses back when it was added
New stuff just made the name less worthy
Enduring its stay , it does barely anything in the timeline
cow entirely timeline presence is non existence
And then get shove in some cave and thst it
Thst it entire contribution to the lore
Bro was fraud back then but nobody give a shit because barely anyone contribute in the timeline
What might be interesting I think ? They could add like a quest or smth where you use Time Valley shit to fight in some of the major battles
Like idk
First some protect thing for defense of Nemract
then a survive thing for escaping Akias
Then some slay thing for Nivla Offensive (maybe a counterattack by Ragni Army)
Then finally battle with Bakal himself, you're in place of Bob?
That way solidify the Corruption War lore and also polish some bits
Annie fold the shit out of CoW and make take its lunch
O befause thst would be pointless
Temple of time prevent you from unfocusing tbe timeline
So like
Unless you just want spectacle
You doing all that is pointless
Also I thjnk it fine if some battle left unshown
I mean you do mess around with the timeline so Temple of Time might be bad at it's job
then again it's Martyn's fault
It make sense for some history to be forever lost and known by no one
It not you never mess with timeline
I mean
There time trouble I guess
All those events are shown in Secret Discoveries what.
ok so lock it behind Wynn Plains Monument
you have to already know those secrets to do it then
Tbh always up for lost history than the lore to tell us everything
Open more interpretation thst way
Also they will mess it up somehow /j
It would be nice to get some clarity on a few topics though.
I donāt thjnk we need clarity of how corruption war during early year went beside some vague description
I mean not just early war, Those events span at least 70s AP to 886 AP
like I said we dont need to know those
description is all we need
beside it give lost history vibe
that always cool
anyone else think the new Eye fight is kinda borning and stupid compared to the earlier one
like
new one removed so many attacks and things that kept the old eye engaging and kept u on the tip of ur toes
new one is just
eh
I felt that, too, but itās more the fact that the old fight was set up to be more cinematic, with noticeable pauses in between phases, and the music developing between said phases. It still technically does all this, but you wonāt ever really notice it
I think in the same way that real life history is not completely accurate and depending on what interpretations of history you focus on, thereās a level of misunderstanding/vagueness you can play with and still hold the illusion of an engaging story
I would love more if early part of corruption war was told by some kind of scholar writing and stuff
like more of guess estimate on what going on
rather than literally show you
wynn province could make for interesting setting on the horror of war
what people overlok is that
wynncraft is not just all horror on late game
I think horror of war in Wynn province is pretty overlook aspect
it pretty fucking bad when some player out there geniunely think living in Wynn is fine
when you have to live in medival world(which btw life expectancy in those era is like half of our current lifespan)
force to conscript in most cities
I think people miss a lot on the implication of Wynn province
but that mostly because the game does not really show you
yeah. some kind of overarching lore that has clear implications for what living in Wynn is like and a build off it
I like that
Literally most of stuff in wynn is outdated writing
but realistically you would see pile of bodies being burn and stuff
I geniunely surpirse that it been 1000 years and people still allow to bury the dead LOL
that should be illegal
like literally straight up illegal
yeah cuz of the undead problem? itās all about the vibes
youāve got to justify the sheer number of enemy mobs on the planet somehow
I think wynn province is few place where the mobs shown in the game are not purely for gameplay
that just how it is
roaming undead everywhere
shit like goliath can put stop to a caravan and stuff
it been udnermine a lot since players got heavy plot armor
but being average people in Wynn would fucking suck
also imagine conscript into being a soldier and have a chance of your buddy being reanimated during battle
that is like
IDK how people could not fathom how suck that is as experience
yeah. FFXIV made a great story arc out of removing the playerās plot armor and being engaged in certain unwinnavle encounters. It set the tone for the world building that enriched the story so much
I think wynn province got done extremely dirty for being early game
cause I think corruption could lead to intresting story
like imagine if one of our companion NPC become corrupted and now we force to fight them
IDK there a lot of way you can do
just too bad wynncraft cant do that cause of how it progression work
yeah the problems lie part in how existing content/progression is handled, doesnāt make sense practically to change things around too much if itās only lore
but high key
iād be fine with a bit of a āfreshā story arc that retconned the shiz out of the story to make something deeper
and previous quests be damned like we can fix dialogue later
the problem lies the fact that the way quest progress it just impossible to create good story in wynn province
because it just going to be one of those early area LOl
still WISH they utilize corruption in the story more
I mean. Maybe you Quantum Leap into someone elses life
what
For the issue of plot armor
there is always the āfresh persoective/multiverse/lost memoryā write off if thatās what you mean
isekai lore on your player char lmao
ok
anyway I geniunly wish corruption get more use in story
IDK maybe charon storyline if he has one
maybe Troms
IDk you could do like
facts they blew their load too early
actually troms should be more about slykaar
yeah
I think
Theorick could potentialy use the idea
they protray him as a husk of his former self
I think making Theorick speak kinda ruin the vibe
I think lead up to Theorick fight in the dungeon should be like Gywn from Dark soul

like you fighting a husk of a man
i agree. it wouldāve been cool to just see him be more mysterious during the present
I think what we should get from Theorick
should be words of mouth from the town people of Nesaak
athat what fate of the fallen should be about rather than you going into temple of time
building up expectation from player belief about THeorick and just make it fall apart when you get to meet husk of Theorick by the end of the dungeon
I think people overlook the horror of corruption where it literally reanimate your body into tools of destruction
it like what happne to those children in Weapons movie
Ok yeah that's kinda just top 1 underplayed thing in this
a dark souls esque vibe could fit wynncraft very well. Keep it dark and with unwritten answers yet truthful hidden implications
Hmm
it difficult because like
Wynn province meant to be more recovering and there are hope for people to overcome corruption by the player come
so it not like dark soul where "everything is shit"
I do say that by the time player come, Wynn province just way better than it was
which probalby explain why player manage to make it out alive
have you ever considered how just totally fucked up Corrupted Galleon's Graveyard is
You have to kill the reanimated corpses of the people you just helped? Pretty sure at least half of the Wynncraft Player Base would go insane if they actually had to do that in real life
Actually wait I haven't considered that before
Damn maybe Lari was right I should think before machine gunning down everything in sight
eh who cares
definitely a balance to be made here for sure
that reminds me another cool quest mechanic Iād like to see for lore is having more future quest scenarios based off previous quest decisions
monumenta has that
but like wynncraft just WAYYYY too late to have stuff like that
yeah like itād just be cool u know? say before unlocking NotG you are given the choice to stop Lari from killing the grootslang after we are both consumed by killing it yourself, or let her play the cleansing out
which ends up dictating what gear you can buy from the dungeon merchant or something idk
and then thereās a callback in fruma somehow to that decision that was made
I mean it would be really nice if quests changed the map or smth?
yeah that collection of small consequences based off player decisions that helps shape the variety/depth you can gain from multiple play throughs
classic RPG type story development stuff
Plus, now the devs can get more money now that you will play the whole game all over again even more!
not too rewarding/punishing, just different. like āOh yeah I could get that better leveling gear for my playstyle if I chose option A in this quest but since I chose option B I get a different oneā
but still can buy the first gear off trade market
I mean. You have those choices like: Shameful greaves, or greaves of honor?
Or something from the squid village, or the amulet from the nesaak fisherman
it's already around the game
but then down the road theyāre like āoh yeah you chose shameful greaves instead of greaves of honor so hereās why they all hate/love you ā¦ā and youāre like āoh yeah i remember picking that questline, now look at the consequences years laterā
I think itād be cool to enrich that more
I mean the thing is how will most of the characters ever learn of your decision? Only a few would really know
Like if you go for Shameful Greaves. Only the guy who makes the Golems and the guy who you talked to earlier will know, and for that matter, the guy who you talked to earlier will probably get Golem'd to shut him up
If you go for Greaves of Honor. Maybe people will know, but the general perception of you is that you are a hero already, so the result either way is just the same I think?
I really like the war stuff in Wynn so much that I draw concept art of Wynncraft being this recovering apocalypse
well thatās when you have the opportunity to reintroduce old NPCs and it just shapes your dialogue, similar to an undertale playthrough if youāre familiar. You do enough negative actions and word gets around about how big of a piece of doodoo you are, which just changes how other NPCs interact with you if anything else
so one character could have done all the āhonorable actionsā and in the same quest NPCs have a different tone to your character
thatās hot
Oh yeah one question I have. Was the Corrupted Warfront set up as an initial line of defense against the portal, which was shredded during the War and only after the Corrupted were pushed back, or was it built after the Corrupted were pushed back to Keep them away from Detlas
you mean the broken wall near Detlas
the broken wall near Detlas yesm
TBH that probably more oudated build cause
realistically that sghould be repair or under repair
and not abanoned
because Detlas millitary is right there
Yeah that seems so weird like Elkurn is rightly worried but Detlas doesn't care but both are right in the danger zone
Skibidi toilet
It couldāve been broken recently, in all honesty
There are other parts of the wall that look maintained
Maybe some quests by that wall could help it
What NPC is stalker supposed to be?
krolton
Krolton... from what quest?
beyond the grave
it's the creature that kills you
Oh
That makes sense
how did it take me this long to realize rewrite man is trashie
took me until yesterday
By the way, does anyone think that we might've taken a bad choice by following Amerigo's orders in The Mercenary? What if there was a choice to well, team up with Takan and perhaps expose Amerigo in a similar fashion to well - whatever we would do in Purple and Blue or An Iron Heart Pt 2
well that would shift the story a lot that it probably why they never give us a choice toc hoose
also Takan was bad choice no matter what anyway
Amerigo is a bad admiral YES
but Takan goal also also generalization
which include admiral Aegis
so like
yeah the guy gotta go
Agreed
also his brother liteally like
also support the bandit so
yeah no he kinda need to die
Wait, Aegis is Amerigo's brother?
or who is Amerigo's brother?
Nevermind, I guess maybe he did do wrong things for the right reasons and well - that's that
I mean Takan's brother
Alright
Yeah I suppose Takan's death would be justified but Amerigo wanting fame isn't illegal but a bit immoral
Got it
Anyway, I suppose I'm not sure about what Fruma could have in store, especially with the possibility of meeting Tasim somewhere, although my headcanon would involve an NPC in Corkus or somewhere, who'd be a bit of a double agent who is able to get into Fruma and well - take the player in as they were found to be doing something wrong, but I dunno
Besides, we don't know what we did to get exiled to Wynn
Maybe we were framed? Tasim did become an accomplice to Aledar by accident, which kinda ruined the two's relationship
Although I'm feeling that Tasim might eventually meet his fate one way or another, but maybe he could avenge Aledar
I can assure you
whatever in corkus and Fruma connection
was long ago 200+ years ago
literally like just go to Wynn
wynn and Fruma have more connection with one and another
unless like
there some hint of rebels teaching that still live in the root of Corkus
I highly dbout Fruma will be that intrested in Corkus
consider those rebels are all dead and forgot about their home
also god fucking god I sure hope player characters wont have concrete backstory when Fruma got release
Oh yeah why is the royal gate for fruma so close to corkus
They have to add Tasim in the Fruma Update so we learn what Cursed means
Also what say we team up with Corkian revolutionaries who still consider themselves Fruman exiles, bust through that door with some explosives, and start a popular revolution against the Queen :D
Although now that I think about it, we do risk losing our naval and air support, running out of ammunition, and getting crushed by the Fruman army in 3 days, both getting all of us executed and causing a Ragni foreign relations crisis
That's so real
I though itw as clear that curesed mean
would they even be consider themlves as corkian revolutionaries
IDK I feel like this plot kindfa bit out there a bit consider we know nothing yet
this villager has 2 others of himself inside of himself, this has gotta have lore implications
my lore ideas are ALWAYS out there
Consider we need to intact the recruit program
It would be more complicated than just march down and kill the queen
Because we essentially have to restructure the fruma society to strip its dictatorship while not cause it collapse
He had a stroke leave him alone
fruma queen? š¤
Ragni Kingās wife
She passed before our arrival, and is a zombie within the emerald trail
Seriously? Where? Or is she some random level one weak zombie.
Is this true
90% sure itās not, but itās true to me
Might as well do that, tbh, itās a perfect concept
Nah it's the Queen of an unrecognized state that popped up in the middle of the Corruption War
worth jack shit basically
Search up "Zuyev Republic" to see what I mean
Whoa that's so disturbing-
its just a minecraft zombie
(If you don't want to, basically a partisan-state in Belarus during WWII)
The survivors of one city that was completely overrun made a hidden kingdom in the Nivla Woods to organize a way to save themselves from the Corruption attacks
It is? I know there's a few enemies referred to as cursed, but they look like they have different things wrong with them. I also haven't completed the story so I don't have all the info
The word cursed could mena different thing depending on the context
And cursed in fruma context is certainly clearly use to call people who capable of using magic like Tasim
Aledar literally call Tasim thst after witnessing Tasim magically heal him
Ohhhhh, I didn't put that together
It also known that fruma prevent magical knowledge to the civilian
So like
Yeah
It also literally fit the theme of facism of fruma nu then labeling something seemingly good thing as being magically innate as something awful
Demonizing it
I feel very dumb bc I knew that as well I just didn't put the pieces together šš
Yeah. I only started playing Wynn a little over a month ago, but I got very into it. Your depth of understanding of the lore inspires me
Damn okay
I think cursed is just a word for people who were blessed by the light or something and can use spells that are deemed a threat to the monarchy
What?
Dude people could just be magically innate like
That happen in the setting
Why even the light specifically
Like basically: you can learn magic, but I think itās something you could be born with too, and somehow it has to do with the light and since fruma is probably affiliated with the darkness to some extent having any sort of light in their walls is a threat to their power
I
Just my current head cannon b4 we get fruma
Okay thst fine I guess
I never said itās perfect
I can see that
Why else would magic be outlawed tho?
IMO bc itās powerful and since fruma seems to be a fascist monarchy having anything that could be a threat to their power theyād want banished, the light part it just thrown in bc lore effect and it could maybe make sense like how orphion got the light obelisk in the silent expanse, and somehow now got magic in fruma
Idk
I though we learn of this or at least imply in llevigarās library
?
Fruma could just outlaw magic to make monarchy appear more powerful and worthy of worship to the common people
I dont think the light is involve because that imply weird thing in the setting
Nothing wrong with too simple in fact it just make thing look weird because from what we know from wynncraft magic system
Light and dark is its own thing?
And elemental magic is just normal stuff
Like then you gotta explain how Orphion link to the general magic system of wynncraft
Just having ppl know magic would be outlawed bc it could be a threat to the monarchy
I mean.. that magic pillar of light in lutho(?)
Yeah and what about it?
Thatās magic lol
Yeah jt magic so as a lot thing in wynncraft
and orphion then could probably reach every part of the physical plane then if he could reach rtd
Grookwart literally said even bronze and spider silk can craft magical accessories
It just it radiate light influence
To counter balance se environment
Aledar even said thst he feel the same presence as when he was in gavel
It not normal magic
Just because it magical does not mean it relate to every single magic stuff in wynncraft
hm maybe
We got literally deferent category of magic
Ophnanim light orbs š¤
It not maybe itās just a fact that there different category magic in wynncraft thst seperate from each other
There is elemental magic
There is cosmic magic
There is influences like light, dark, and corruption
Btw what abt this ^
We learn thst the monarchy outlaw magic to make themselves look like god in the library
Thst been said
Yea
but I feel like there has to be some other reason too idk
Like
It makes sense
But idk
It currently the current info we have
Anything else you gotta have concrete evidence
I think Fruma is not necessarily influenced by darkness but just power
You don't need eldritch influence to be totalitarian
it definitely loop its way back to war of the realm yeah bt I dont think it will be that apperant
Honestly if you had the power of magic or something, maybe you can levitate something, or fly, or whatever,
are you telling me you wouldn't be tempted if you had the chance to go to Medieval Europe or something and let's say you can speak the language
to use your powers to pretend you were a higher being and establish a cult and a theocratic empire
facist banning "normal" thing as magic is defintiely on the line
it can be that simple but can also be expand into its own thing
magic actually oppresses us and will overtake everything! but magic is so weak and inferior to us we dont need it
This is true
All fruma enemies are actually melee
And they can one shot you
so just stay away
all the angels we see look to be female right?
any chance skyraiders have angel ancestry?
This raises a good question about the enemies weāll encounter throughout Fruma
Thereās that small subsection of fire mages outside of fruma, so there might be some brigands or hideaways here and there
How much of Fruma will even be hostile
either we aren't supposed to be there and the guards attack us on sight
or we are but something is driving the people insane
or it's a mythical beast situation like in gavel where a bajilion humanoid creatures want to eat you
Nah they're all ranged
The people can't use magic, but they can use what the royal house has made with magic
so now all the royal guards have machine crossbows
and they all want to kill you because you didn't stay in Wynn
or maybe because they really hate immigrants
honestly both are equally likely
they can't possibly have perfect records on who they kick out, but maybe the second part kicks in in those situations
Even better, maybe they've convinced the population that Wynnese are animals and so the town populations either tries to kill you or throws scraps of bread at you like you might throw scraps of bread at a pigeon
Why did I start that with even better?
Ok even better if you like combat and nothing else
Much worse otherwise
Angel are another thrown away spieces so idk lmao
For me I just completely remake them into spirit rather than living being
I heard something from a guy down in the Nemract Bar, some sailor from Jofash who said he was a historian of the Sky Islands
He claimed that the Skyraiders descended from a bandit group in the far east of Wynn that got advanced airship technology (for the time) but still never really had the land fighting prowess
And so when their base was attacked by a rival group the survivors just packed up and fled north over the sea
I claimed he had had too much Nemract Whiskey, like every single resident of Jofash
huh
where is this lore
probably untrustworthy
like honestly Jofash is a town of crazy people
The bread guy, the wide-eyed guy, the "clairvoyant" (scam merchant)
So he's probably just making something up
ok
are all mythic lores canon
Nah
I remember one example is Cataclysm but there's probably more
Cataclysm could be canon, if they wanted it to be
Current lore breaks modern canon rules but they can just make the weapon act similarly to TCC powers
Or TNA powers, either one
I mean, the incomprehensible summons meteors, and thatās just completely unexplained and absurd, so Cata making rifts and portals makes just as much sense
Incomprehensible?
Fabled outer void dagger
Oh
Nah Iām fine with Cata making rifts and portals
Itās more of the fact that the lore text vaguely implies that Cataclysm was the one that created the Nether Portal
I still want to keep Cataclysmās rift-ripping properties so it can just be altered to rip holes into the void instead
Thatād be a nice change, but Iām also okay with it being capable of opening rifts into other dimensions
What do other dimensions mean in this case
I guess the nether, RoL, and Road
Oh, sorry, Realm of War
I feel like it makes a lot more sense if Cataclysm serves as a pair of interdimensional scissors rather than an interdimensional teleport scroll
Like, it has the power to punch a hole through our plane of reality but it canāt like, act as a train that somehow directly opens a gate to a specific realm
Cata cutting into the fabric of reality and tearing paths both within and between dimensions would be really cool, though
Actually, Iām pretty sure thatās how vanish supposedly works, cutting into the fabric of reality and cloaking yourself in it
Is that even canon anymore
i dont see cataclysm's power as reality bending more like reality shredding
The ability just says that you slip into the shadows or smth
you're not opening a gate to anything you're just tearing through stuff at such a fundamental degree that it gets annihilated
I know this sounds funny given what weāre talking about but the ability to tear paths to places that are only accessible by a single hard-to-reach portal sounds really unbelievable
well first of all if you're tearing through the realm with cataclysm how do you even know you're tearing into something else and where
you could just be ripping space apart without connecting to any other space
and even if you did i think it would still require a shit ton of energy to keep such a portal open for even seconds which conveniently ROL provides by well, virtue of the light and ROW provides from the exothermic clash of both light and dark
Maybe Cata is sentient and acts like the TARDIS
Idk never watched a full episode of Doctor Who is that how it works
I saw one episode on accident and it was from the 50ās, and it was nonsense
Iāll watch the entirety of Doctor Who whenever I clear up my backlog of other things I need to watch/ play
But otherwise the stuff Iāve seen from the show have been pretty cool
i feel like most if not all fruma enemies will either be fauna or royal guards/millitary
That could be intresting but I think it more likely that we going to have more various stuff like war machines and other stuff
consider some finding shown that Fruma do use electricity
similar to Corkian
so we might went against imperial war machine which would be awesome
not canon but i wanted to show off my rework of Nesaak lore #your_work message
bro
the reason corkians have electricity is because they invented it
they literally had no idea what to do after leaving fruma, they just went to corkus and settle there
ok
I dont see what that has to do with my message
Corkus claim they invent electromagic yes
I think corkians' electromagic have its root all the way to Fruma would explain how corkians could invent advance technology in relatively short year with 200+ years when they settle on the island
the teaser we literally see light flickering
electricity
some also discover some corner of the map that was used in Fruma flashback
that it shown in Fruma there is strange machinery around the tree
so Fruma seems to be capable of making advance machinery
I'm sorry to break the conversation but... is your profile crippled Aledar-
my own theory on this is that most Wynn humans arent directly related to Fruma. They were born in Wynn, their parents and ancestors were born in Wynn, only a small minority relatively speaking actually originate from Fruma. From that small number, it seems most, if not all, were Frumans of lower classes who didnt know magic to begin with. And for those who did, Fruma most likely tried to erase their memory and knowledge of magic. Because the Corkian humans escaped instead of being released by the Fruman government (and maybe because they knew basic industrial magic from working in Fruma's factories), they were able to piece together magic quicker than Wynnic humans were
TLDR: Corkian humans may have avoided getting completely memory-wiped by Fruma, when Wynn humans did not
lore
Aren't all the humans in Wynn originally descended from Fruman explorers? Since Fruma is allegedly the homeland of the Humans no?
So they colonized Wynn as Fruma's breadbasket until wartime
yeah, all humans in Wynn are either directly from Fruma, or are the descendants of those from Fruma. Presumably, Fruma has been memory-wiping humans traveling to Wynn for literal millennia, because even though humans have been present in Wynn for at least 2400 years, there is still very little outside knowledge on Fruma
I doubt it. I think that 2400 years ago, the people who migrated eastwards to colonize Wynn were probably pretty poor as you said and were looking for opportunity
2400 years is a long enough time to lose knowledge of history, especially when education is just not really a thing
I think in the far past there was no memory wiping, but the farmers never recorded much because they assumed the Frumans (who they still saw themselves as) would record it in their history books
Then over time they split, and only once wartime hit did A) Wynn residents start recording history with vigour
and B) Fruma send memory-wiped criminals over
the difference is we know those who are from Wynn are farmers
lower class
which mean they would not know how electricity work and therefore unable to replicate it when they cross to Wynn province
but for Corkus we know that they are rebel group
they likely have all sort of resources and knowledge with technology
another possible idea is that Fruma discover electricity AFTEr those farmers left
as the farmers left fruma 1000+ years ago
enough time for some technological advance to happen after they left
and corkian ohly come to the island 250 years ago
this counter arguement is poorly though because this feel like you use the logic of if a spieces use this technology then that mean every single one of them know how it work
I dont even think most people here even know how to create machine or other kind of complex electronics
despite we all litearlly are human
wtf is this...
Or: After the first Fruman explorers in Wynn set up the province, the new leaders followed the Fruman principles of preventing access to magic as they still considered themselves Fruman, then as they split their leaders followed the Fruman model of holding all the magic power to themselves (which pissed off Hashr, apparently), then only recently has magic been explored in Wynn because knowledge of magic was suppressed for >1500 years in Wynn and who knows how many in Fruma
In contrast, the Corkians are separatist and go for magic knowledge immediately now that they can, and so got magic power in under 250 years
what you mean by fruman explorer?
the Frumans who first migrated to Wynn, presumably to colonize it to feed the established cities of Fruma?
Those are not explorer
they escaping from Fruma
But yes
the desert kingdom do have eerily similarity with Fruma
(I assumed Wynn was originally colonized in the fashion of American westward migration and not refugees like Corkus)
but they are
they escaping the monarchy of Fruma
the corkians likely have one of the cursed among them
when they first establish in the island
and since we know that magic is something teachable even to those who lack magical innate
it likely that in safety of the island, they likely able to pass down magical knowledge which become general knowledge for Corkian
Though group of cursed also more likely consider they would have more reason to rebel
Maybe later on Frumans fled to Wynn but like surely the monarchy would have wanted to send people over so that Fruma could be completely urbanized while Wynn could be a breadbasket. There goes my opinion of the Fruman monarchy as somewhat smart
:(
we dont know the full story yet
Actually probably for the better they'd pull a Holodomor
again this is tiny bit of history that was 1000+ years ago
and the only source we have is llevigar
which are outsider
Ragni might be Fruma attempt to further its reach into Wynn province
consider how close it is
What do you think if Fruma had a breadbasket colony would they do a Stalin
I am not well verse in real world history
Basically Ukraine was the main grain producing area of the Soviet Union, and Stalin's first Five Year Plan basically forced everyone to give all their grain to Russia and so 5 million Ukrainians starved to death (also partially weaponized to prevent Ukrainian independence sentiments)
I see
ukraineās flag is literally a wheat field
if Light Forest is what happens when the Realm of Light invades the Overworld, and the Silent Expanse is that for Dern⦠what the hell does Dern look like? Because if we go based on Light Forestās similarity to the Realm of Light, Dern could very well look nothing like the Silent Expanse
I like to think it kinda resembles a darker blueshift archipelago
That, or itās pitch black and youāll rely on spot lights to travel through it
If you want a more accurate visual of a Light-infected region then use the Light Forest in the Taproot flashback instead
That one was before the parasite emerged so thereās more infection
The Dogun script is the abugida writing system used by the Doguns and the Canyon Colossus. It is significantly more complex than the more common Ancient Wynnic and High Gavellian scripts used elsewhere in Wynncraft, and currently has no corresponding in-game transcriber.

ARMORY / OF THE CREATION OF SUCH WEAPONRY AND CONSTRUCTS WHICH MAY BE UTILIZED IN OUR PERPETUAL ONGOING CONFLICT WITH FORCES BEYOND OUR CONTROL",
Man, what a hella script to just be housing a random t3 chest
dogunscript my beloved
read my script...
Find my scripts
that looks cool
Just wanted to ask a random question, is there any lore connection or significance between the Twain family and Twain's Arc (the sharpshooter ability)?
Or do they share similar names by coincidence
Best guess I have is because Mael Twain taught Bob archery
None just Mael using bow and that it
Really funny that only Twain reference in archetype is not even in mage class
Whoa when was this added this is sick
Unique fantasy language construction goes hard
On the topic of Bob's training, where does the shaman fit in the whole thing since the other 4 classes lore wise was done by Bob's teachings or something correct?
nope
it jsut not there at all
Bob never taught shaman
tbh it would be redudant anyway because shaman is just another form of magic casting
i mean. Yes, but it's just mael, not the rest of the twains
alot of sharp's kit is ghostly themed
TBH Dont think it come off in gameplay wise lOL
wish it feel more like that in game but oh well
Well, is there any lore explanation on the shaman class?
The only thing we have is slykaar in troms
it would be cool if it expanded on it
theres also order of the grook quest which tells us that all shamans get power from killing something to gain power (most shamans use grass or bugssince they can kill alot and not affect much acolyte being the exception since you are using your own life)
well It just
somethign you can do
Shamanism is just mtehod of using magic by outsourcing something else rather than your mana
which tbh lead to the fact this source literally can be ANYTHING ELSE that does not have to do with shaman
but beside that
but yeah beside that class and archetype are not really that care about lroe that much anyway
In fallen delievery we also learn that this method of magic pretty just outsourcing your magic
tbh order of the grook explain it kinda bad so like
We kinad see Dullahan doing this as well to heal Lari
Only theory I have is that it's a recently discovered magic skill after Bob's time.
it really not because Slykaar exist long before Bob even born
awful dialogue aside
this is what shamanism is
also here one from fallen delievery
I think a better theory to explain why bob didnt study shamanism (other than it not being in the game) is if bob is like the player then he has no need to pull from other life in order to get magic (mana) I also think that shamanism might have a sort of feeling of ilk shared by the characters as we had slykaar with his child sacrifices and dullahan's theoretical shamanism might have led to the villagers believing him to be the source of decay.
I really hope that shamanism is explored a little bit more in fruma since its so limited and I think that each archtype seems to indicate a sort of seperate cult or religion similar to the different warrior archtypes
