Anyway, theres two ways to go about this I think, depends on how you wanna characterise orphion.
One simple justification that still paints orph in a bad light just in a less plot-hole way is simply he had too much hubris and ego and was mostly ignorant, as for laris calls for help I dunno.

Another reason could be due to the portals opening at 0ap orphion might of had to fend off or solve issues in the light and dark realm plane. Maybe fight a war or something but maybe thats too major

Like darkness began to invade on his plane so he had to venture to the border of the realm(far away from light forest in the physical plane) to push the darkness back.

i think the solution for the 1000 year gap (for orphion) is to split it into pre-800 and post-800
pre-800, the parasite's basically burrowed and hiding. not a lot to do about that, just need to keep an eye on the area for when it re-emerges. for the rest of that time, lari can be doing other important stuff, whatever the light's specialest person gets up to

With what I talked about before with timespan I think it would really help. LIke have lari go help cities be built or guide people in the light religion or something. That could be a whole side thing of lari attempted to reinspire people to follow the light but it failed.
