but in 07 all automatics were changed to use the newer 4 shaft 5 speed rather than the 3 shaft

In 2010, Volkswagen do Brasil released a limited edition of the Volkswagen Gol (not Golf, totally separate model)

This limited edition comes with an also limited edition Tagima strat-style guitar in the back because Tagima helped design this model

Tagima is the biggest music instrument manufacturer in South America founded by a Japanese immigrant

And the Volkswagen Gol was made as a replacement for the already immensely popular Volkswagen Beetle

It's basically a smaller, less luxurious version of the already not-so-luxurious Golf in the rest of the world

The Golf is primarily a small car meant to cater to the affordable hatchback market, so it wouldn't make sense for a Golf to be sold with golden trimmed leather seats

The golf is considered an adaptable and universal car, it has its hot hatchback with the R and GTI, it’s practicality with the sport wagon and all track and luxury is subjective

It can meet or best a lot of cars in luxurious terms

Sure but that wasn't the original plan for the conception of the Golf

They never meant it to be a luxurious car, the luxurious aspects would later come to the Golf along its production and evolution

I was primarily talking about the South American exclusive model, which is already based on the Golf that everyone had

And since it was created when the Golf itself is still in its relative infancy, the Golf didn't have as much luxury back then
