I don’t think you understand how high mileage can complicate corvettes

Mainly rear end issues

It’s recommended to drop the entire rear end and rebuild the torque tube clutch and all bushings and seals at around 65-70k

And that is a big job

And when that doesn’t get done

Because it’s tedious and you don’t have to do it to keep driving

It’s not good

I’m looking at doing mine next winter I think

I’d rather have 100k highway miles than 20k track miles yeah

Yeah they are all really reliable if you respect the cars limits

The thing that causes wear on the drivetrain is shifting faster than the engine can

With the stock flywheel the revs don’t drop fast, so when you shift at redline and slam it into 1-2 or 2-3 then drop the clutch and punch it at redline your tires are goin 50mph but your drivetrain is saying oh btw go 70 now

That is not good for it

But I like to race

So I do anyway

That’s user error not mechanical error so you can’t really blame the car

When I break something I’ll go in with a ls7 clutch and a lighter flywheel and solve the problem
