the workaround i used was just use the fullscreen keybind if i expect to swap to other windows i don't know if i can recreate the bug but it was an issue i had with the version i started playing on

ive found a solution to this

#

until the devs do an actual fix

#

use borderless gaming app

#

not the steam ver whcih is paid

#

use the legacy free one which works just as fine

#

set it to launch on startup and minimized to tray

#

then set rhythia to windowed

#

it wont have the top bar if you did it right, it should look Fullscreen

#

this makes it borderless windowed and lets you alt tab instantly with no issues

#

borderless windowed is the best window setting, it just reduces performance on the game a little since it renders other stuff outside the game

#

but fixes every visual issue

For rhythm games it introduces input latency (doubles it), and we're trying to bring in a better solution

maybe just have borderless mode there but warn the user of the increased input latency, for me the alt tab bug is really annoying since the game tries to bring back focus

Is the current full screen impl, full screen exclusive mode (FSE?) If so it’s been deprecated for almost a decade now- replaced by iFlip and iFlip Immediate.

I mean you could also write a thin interop to render with OpenGL but present with DX or Vulkan. think

Would cut down on both the input lag issue and alt tab issue.

Unsure of the exact improvements made with RL 6, but the changelog doesn’t reveal much.

Click in the game window again then tab out. It should work.
