AION 2 Worth your time?

I think this is a very fair and accurate review. I haven't paid more than the 1st subscription for the game and I mostly focus on cosmetics at the end of the day so I dont feel pressure to grind or be in the leaderboards. But even so I am not unaffected by the grind as I do need to push my stats for purpose of unlocking and collecting things I want.

If I want to look into crafting, currently the cost is just silly, leather sells for 11k kinah per piece, simply because the drop rate is abysmal and you know how much RNG you need to get through to have a decent piece of armor... So you decide you will get drops from dungeons, ofc you will; at 3% drop rate, good luck if you ever see a single part of your armor.

And in many cases you can just outright skip the dungeon and not care for the gear it drops because you want to save your Odyle for others, but what if I want to collect it as a skin? So am enjoying the 3% drop rate and then another 10% to get the item as a skin? Am looking at 0.3% rate to get a skin basically, and do that 7 times as that is the full set (with more rng to even get the right piece of armor after the initial 3%).
If that wasn't enough, what are even the odds anyone will be running these dungeons one day with these drop chances and when there is 0 need for the gear ilvl? It just looks frustratingly impossible to get things. Considering Odyle is limited, why even get invested? I did the Draupnir Exploration some 20 times, never seen a piece of Transcedent armor drop. A piece of just lvl 57 armor, something you sneeze over, it cant drop.....

All of this just to pad out the time, these numbers will get increased, but does that mean I have to advise people to wait a year or 2 after release to start playing?

Agree, Right now you WANT to do all the dungeons to unlock the wings for each variant. (conquest) and you dont want to waste your mains energy to get wings from krao cave when you are already 2700.... best option? make an alt and park the alt in a specific dungeon

Why would I do anything else in my life when I can no life Aion 2. Sounds great
