I believe Aion 2 doesn't run on DirectX 11

dxdiag

Game requires directx 12_2
Your GPU driver doesn't support it

Sadly the only way for you to play aion2 is on Linux #1439671523387375796 message windows sucks

Hi. I don't find any restrictions for dx12 ultimate support only. (12_2)
Also I have 1650 S Desktop GPU without dx 12.2 support and everything works great.
So, I think it's not true about 12_2 only support.

But anyway, I'm glad that Linux community has so significant progress in this direction. Hopefully more developers will be brought into this process.

Thanks for replying 💜

You gpu works with D11, and Aion2 UE5 requires D12...

Try with Linux S.O, maybe you get some lucky

Same issue here
Any solution?
DX12 runs perfectly fine for Throne and Liberty and the other games
And here I have exact same error

So I’ve tested many things and I’ve came to a conclusion that the Intel GPU is blacklisted on a launcher side
It doesn’t even try to run it with DX12
What I did : ran the test of pc specs inside the launcher for Aion
Ram and CPU are fine and marked as “Normal”
As for GPU “test is unavailable”
Same as a guy above I have Intel
Next step ive checked all the drivers update and everything is up to date
I also checked the DX and it’s not only listed as a working but also I’ve played a game for a year with DX12 on and it worked just fine
After that I did a few other attempts
created a custom shortcut with -dx11 added to the target.
Purple still forced DX12
Edited in Win 64 folder named d3d12core.dll , adding bak.
Purple still blocked the launch before the game even opened
Other games, which are more heavy are running perfectly fine with DX12

The issue seems to be in a fact that a launch happens on a Purple launcher and it whitelisted only AMD/Nvidia and no command line arguments or exe runs can bypass that

Illl try later
I gave up and installed on iPhone while waiting for NC to fix it maybe , since it’s not my system issue clearly and only a self created issuer of a Purple

force the game to run in dirext x 11

#
Open your Windows Run box by pressing Win + R.

Type in: %LOCALAPPDATA% and hit Enter.

In the folder that opens, look for a folder named:

Aion2 (most likely)

AION2 > Saved > Config > Windows

Once you find the correct folder, look inside for a Saved folder, then a Config folder, and finally the Windows or WindowsClient folder.

Look for a file named GameUserSettings.ini or Engine.ini.

Your Next Step Here:

Open the configuration file (e.g., GameUserSettings.ini) with Notepad.

Search for terms like DirectX, DX12, or RHI.

If you find an entry that forces the rendering API (e.g., PreferredGraphicsAPI=DX12), try changing the value to DX11.

Save the file and try launching the game normally.

if this doesnt work

#
Find the main game executable (the file that actually runs the game, usually the largest .exe file).

Create a desktop shortcut to that executable.

Right-click the shortcut and select Properties.

In the Target field, add a space and then the DX11 command:

"C:\...\Aion2.exe" -dx11

Try launching the game using this modified shortcut.
