Unable to launch a new game due to EXCEPTION_ACCESS_VIOLATION

What happened?

Load up the main menu, click 'NEW GAME', name the game and press start, game immediately crashes.

Frequency

Happens every time, just bought the game and installed. and have had no luck starting any game.

Steps to reproduce

N/A - though worth noting I have tried in DirectX12 and DirectX11

Processor AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D 8-Core Processor (4.20 GHz)
Installed RAM 32.0 GB (31.1 GB usable)
System type 64-bit operating system, x64-based processor
GPU NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5070Ti 16GB

This will hopefully be fixed in an upcoming patch. We found a crash when no mic is connected at all.
Weird issue I know but do you have a mic you can connect and see it it resolves it until we patched it?

Let me know if it works I need to go AFK for a while so might be slow to respond.

My laptop can handle big games like war thunder and subnautica but when I load my save that I haven't started or any other it crashes immediately

Have you tried DX11?

Can you create a separate bug report with your log attached?
