First of all, they tried during the 2000s and never got a championship despite having a good engine car and drivers. Second they're too focused on endurance and don't really care about f1 and the state of it is quite sad.
And third it would just make them lose money like in the 2000s.

Idk why BYD would join F1 when we know they only do electric cars any car brand in the Volkswagen Group would be good in F1
