Afaik, decent for western languages in that it teaches you useful vocabulary
but in the case of asian languages where the grammar is extremely different Duolingo sucks at teaching you these rules
they dont even really try much with the grammar
not to mention the writing systems
also the example sentences are sometimes very weird

I’m in Spanish in school rn so I’m on Duolingo for Spanish just to improve my skills, and it’s ass. It really only teaches vocabulary and introduces grammar points without explaining why or with conjugation. Same with German
