I think the one who finished just 2 points behind with a worse car for the entire season

I love Norris, but Verstappen put on an absolutely herculean performance in the second half of the season

Norris scored the most points and deserved to score the most points

It was deserved for Norris, but he wasn't the only one deserving of the title

Still, if Verstappen had won, I would probably feel pissed that one person had won every single championship of an era of regulations specifically designed to curb Domination, as that would have made the 2022-25 regs a failure in the same way that the 2017-21 regs were a failure

If Leclerc had won 2022 I would have said that Verstappen should have won

If Leclerc had won 2022 the season would look so completely different that I’m not sure you can consider that tbh

Leclerc did make mistakes but he was mostly screwed over by Ferrari

Leclerc winning 2022 would mean Ferrari was actually competent

#

Which means the season would be like day and night to the season it actually was

Trust me, I am NOT like those rabid Chase Elliott haters except with Max Verstappen anymore (REEEEEEE VERSTAPPEN WON BECAUSE SOMEONE AHEAD OF HIM FAILED THAT WIN WASN'T DESERVED REEEEEEE)

#

The all caps in brackets is obviously self satire

Things happen in f1, things the drivers can't control, things nobody can control, lando won the championship and therefore deserved it

#

But we don't talk about 2021

The person who won under the regulations of the competition

Obviously that's not the way we'd want it to be decided, but it's not like we can do anything about it

Norris was the most consistent tho.

#

Max had a difficult first half and came like a monster at the end

Oscar was brillant in the first half and was shit at the end
