I think it’s because McLaren stopped developing their 2025 car a lot earlier than redbull, because they wanted to focus on the 2026 car, and their 2025 car was already quick enough.
Redbull on the other hand kept developing their 2025 car much later into the season which means they have spent less time on developing their 2026 car
