if that's fair to be said it may also be fair to say leclerc, russell, and maybe even hadjar deserved the wdc as well, they all drove to the limit of their car all season long and convincingly defeated their teammates with wdc worthy performances, but their cars weren't nearly quick enough to challenge for the title (or even wins in leclerc and hadjar's cases)
