Not a car guy but F 1 fan

Yo guys, i am not a car guy, i know pretty much nothing about cars
I have been told my some members of this server that knowing about cars is an important part of f1, otherwise you'll miss out on a lot of stuff
So what are the things I need to know
Cuz I have no intention of becoming a car guy but I am very much into f1 nowadays

there are some parts that you will miss out on but i know people who are not car guys (i'm not a car guy, i'm an f1 car guy), and still enjoy the sport

Nah that’s gatekeeping. I don’t care about cars at all and I’ve been a fan my whole life

What you might want to learn about is stuff like maybe a bit of aerodynamics to understand why some moves are great and why crashes happen but honestly just tune in to the pre-show before sessions and they explain a lot of stuff (unless you’re watching sky, then they’re just gossiping)

I don't know basics 😭
I know only like the difference between automatic cars and manuals cars (i think 💀)
And i know Germans are really good at making cars, or engineering in general

Bro I can’t differentiate a F2 from a F1 or a 2021 car from a 2023-4-5 one and I’m enjoying it fine
