You seriously don't remember that De Vries wiped the floor with Latifi in equal machinery?
one race
that de vries early 2023 stint is some of the worst driving i have ever witnessed
That Sergio Perez 2024 stint is some of the worst driving I have ever witnessed
Is Perez on the same level as Stroll then just because the car wasn't suited to his driving style?
If De Vries were in the Williams alongside Albon he would probably still be there
And doing good
He couldn't drive the Alpha Tauri, and it being the worst car on the grid at that time didn't help.
Just like how Ricciardo couldn't drive the McLaren and, again, Perez couldn't drive the Red Bull in 2024. Does that make both of them utterly terrible drivers?
Thats not even a remotely comparable situation
Perez has a lengthy F1 career outside of 2024
Red Bull are more built around one driver than any other team in history
Compared to Alpha Tauri who are designed to only have drivers on short term contracts
Perez also had the reigning 3 time world champion as his teammate, who would go on to win the championship again
Whereas De Vries had Tsunoda
Unlike De Vries in 2023 there were some, albeit limited, highlights for Perez
And was he much better than Stroll in 2024? No, not really
De Vries made a ludicrous amount of mistakes in the 14 races or whatever that he managed
More than what Perez made in 2024
And they weren’t all just crashes into the barrier
They were genuinely abysmal pieces of driving that cannot be excused by the machinery
So the Alpha Tauri and VCARB were genuinely on the same levels as Ferrari and McLaren in 2023 and 2024?
It still doesn't make a lick of sense that someone would perform good in a race, then a few months later become the worst driver ever
The ferrari and mclaren?
Whats the relevance of that?
If Yuki seriously was underperforming in both 23 and 24 the car would have been potentially capable of challenging for wins
Anyway, De Vries was good in the Williams. He drove a good race at Monza, beat his teammate by miles, then all of a sudden couldn't have driven the Alpha Tauri
It absolutely HAD to have been the car
Just like with Ricciardo at McLaren
What…?
I didn’t say Tsunoda was underperforming
I said he was obviously not performing at the same level as Max Verstappen
Ok
Still, How do we know he still would have been shit if he went to Williams for 2023 like he should have?
